Stayed at the Z when visiting London for theatre trip. Superb location. Room was clean and modern. Air conditioning was fab. Kettle in room was a bonus. Had a wonderful nights sleep. Will definitely stay there again.

Loved the location. It was close to everything. We had many restaurants to choose from. We were able to walk to a lot of attractions and we were also a short distance to great underground stations. The room was clean, and although small, had everything we need for a comfortable stay. Love the AC after a long day of walking during the summer time. Nice shower as well. I would definitely stay again. Great value!

Sometimes the towels didn't smell as fresh, but the hotel was great always replacing the towels when asked. It would have been nice to also have hair conditioner in the shower.

The Z Strand's main draw is its perfect location near Covent Garden and London's theatre district. While the room was decent and relatively quiet for central London. For the location, it offers reasonable value if you're planning to spend most of your time exploring London. The staff went above and beyond.

The bed was uncomfortably firm, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. The room could have been cleaner, with particular concerns in the shower area that needed better attention. The noise levels within the hotel were noticeable, with sounds from other rooms and corridors clearly audible. Poor window insulation allowed cold drafts and wind to enter the room, making it uncomfortable and chilly while the air conditioning unit was also problematic, with an annoying light that stayed on constantly throughout the night, adding unnecessary brightness to the room.

The location is fabulous, the room is VERY small but very clean. Bed was super comfortable. Fabulous pillows, great shower water pressure. Coffee tea hot chocolate. Super helpful and friendly staff, bar downstairs and breakfast. I will stay there again when traveling alone for work.

The room was perfect for me because I was there solo. It would be too small for 2 people unless they were VERY VERY comfortable with each other. *get a room with a window. A closet or luggage stand would have been nice.. if my suitcase was open I couldn’t get to the bathroom.

It's a clean and modern room, friendly staff, and a great location - right in the heart of Strand. Walking distance to most central London attractions.

The room was so tiny, it was barely enough floor to open the suitcase. No wardrobe or shelves. It may be acceptable for a single hiker with one backpack, but for a couple with some baggage it was tough to turn around. Also, the toilet wall was made of semi-transparent glass, so going to the washroom with your wife seating one foot from you and almost seeing your there through the glass - was not an option. So I had to use bathroom in the lobby. Considering the price of the room, I'd say it was rather frustrating.

We were happy with our stay at Z Hotel Strand. Nice staff, great location as well as simple check-in & check out process. We had no problems with outside sounds, even though the room was facing the Strand. Filtered water was always available, and our bags were looked after at no cost before and after our check-in/out. Room is on the smaller size, but do you really need more just for sleeping? This is not a hotel you will be staying at for 10 nights... I would recommend this hotel, as well a come back again.

A little bit more focus could be put on cleanliness of the rooms/sheets/towels.

Stayed at a few Z hotels in the past and this one is the best. I booked a window option but my advice would be don’t bother, just book the cheaper non window option. The view is of the fire escape. Shower pressure amazing. Huge TV. Very friendly staff. Felt very safe here and would stay again. Z hotel offer a great concept. Small modern soundproof rooms at a very affordable price in prime London locations.

As mentioned the view is basically a grotty fire escape but I’ll just book a non window room next time. Fine for solo travellers but I don’t know why they should really put some privacy film over the bathroom glass doors / dividers as there is zero privacy if someone is using the bathroom. But that’s me being picky.

It’s a great hotel! It’s very convenient, I love staying on the stand because there is everything near by, you have Covent Garden just behind and lots of great places to shop, shows and bars. The absolute icing on the cake was free glass of wine and cheese & biscuits in the hotel on a Sat night!! It’s was so lovely to have just before we went out for the evening ☺️

The rooms are very small, which I think you can tell from the photos. There is everything you need in them! Great lighting too! Just the bathroom was very close to the bed so leaving very little room to get in to bed. However wouldn’t put us off returning! Be my first choice now when returning to London!

I booked this hotel as a last minute booking and wasn’t quite sure what to expect but it definitely exceeded my expectations. The hotel is in an excellent location with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants near by. This hotel is great value for money and if I’m totally honest has probably been 1 of the best hotels I’ve stayed in across London and I’ve stayed in quite a few. Rooms are small yes but cozy, very clean and has everything you need- fluffy towels, shampoo, body wash, tea and coffee etc free WIFI included. The Staff were all absolutely wonderful and can’t do enough for you. Even the cleaners said good morning on our way to breakfast. Cheese and wine night twice per week free for guests - absolute bonus. Breakfast is great with cereals, granolas, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, bacon and egg flat breads etc with teas, juices and coffee. This was a birthday trip and the hotel left the room decorated with a cute little birthday note which was such a lovely touch! We left our bags etc at storage and came to the room to find our belongings already there which was lovely. Staff were so friendly and helpful which made the stay very pleasant. Location is brilliant, so close to everywhere we wanted to visit by foot or short tube rides.

Room is small for a Queen room which didn’t match the example pictures online at time of booking which was a bit disappointing. It felt like more of a standard double so price paid was a bit steep. As a result, the bathroom was too close to the bed which didn’t feel right or clean. The sink in the bathroom wasn’t draining the water, however, the staff were very polite and made sure someone came to fix it so wasn’t a massive issue.
