The heated pool was fabulous, I used it 3 out of 4 mornings I was there. It could do with some refurbishment as there were tiles missing in places, but it was clean and warm, with pool towels available!!! The breakfasts were fab, plenty of choice, and the food was good. There was also the option of a 'grab and go' breakfast if ordered the day before. They were able to cater for my gluten free diet too. The reception staff were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Room was a good size and clean, and you could top up on tea/coffee at reception. Plenty of maps & local information available, as well as plentiful free parking (2 car parks). Well placed to visit the Eden Project, Lanhydrock and Lost Gardens of Heligan.

My husband has bat-like hearing, and as we were at the rear of the hotel, the church clock's chimes could be heard every 15 mins! But not the hotel's fault. There were no evening meals, pork products, or alcohol served, but that was the choice of the hotel, and there are plenty of local pubs & places to eat in Lostwithiel.

Excellent location, room was perfect and had a very comfortable mattress.. Kettle and small refrigerator were useful additions. Extremely dog friendly with a welcome pack including treats, towels and poo bags. A lovely touch. The breakfast we had on both days was delicious..great choice, well cooked and presented. All the staff were very friendly and courteous.

Minor criticisms of which we were aware of the first is that the bar does not serve alcohol. This may or may not be related but they also do not serve pork. This is to be more 'inclusive'. For us, there should be a choice.....whether you avail or abstain should surely be down to the individual?

I did not use any of the facilities, didn't have breakfast either. I arrived late in the day, after 9pm with work and the receptionist was very nice and understanding. I was away at 7am I was asked if I would like breakfast for a small fee, but did not take up the offer. Hotel room was very clean, shower was powerful and hot. I have stopped in many hotels around the country and most are noisy and not as pleasant as this one. I would recommend! Also there was an outdoor pool that would be beneficial to people staying maybe more than 1 night.

Nothing really. Not many places locally for food, but that was my issue with arriving late in the day and the location was no takeaways.

Good location for access to Eden Sessions. Staff on arrival very pleasant. Good car parking. Taxi was able to drop us very close to our room late at night The room was spotlessly clean Was good to be able to have one room for three adults travelling

Sadly our room on the ground floor had a broken window latch (latch snapped off from window)meaning the room wasn’t secure from external access. I reported to reception who didn’t appear to know about it. However the latch looked to have been brown a while. We ended up locking our valuables in the car

The room clean and the beds were comfortable , we were just stopping off for the night as we passed through cornwall , but would stop again for a few nights longer . The restaurant was not open in the evening , but there are plenty of other options within walking distance , we used the Royal oak and the food was excellent and good value for money .

The rooms were nicely decorated, only sought issue was a bit more table space would have been nice. The location was good. In the area has several pubs and restaurants to eat out at. We went to the globe pub twice as the meals were fantastic.

It would have been nice to buy an alcoholic drink in the bar in the evenings. We didn't have breakfast as the options were limited and it seemed quite expensive. Although we were told of these once booked so we adapted our evenings and got breakfast from a local shop .

Solid wood bedsit cabinets and writing table in the room -- such a pleasant change from cheap laminated chipboard! Good quality fittings in he bathroom, a surprise at this price point. The dog-in-room kit was a nice touch (even tho we don't have a dog).

Not much. The bed wasn't sufficiently supportive for my back, but others will enjoy the softness. And there's no attempt to do achingly cool style, which means the place felt a bit functional; but hey that's all we needed for a one-night stay.

We holiday several times a year as a family of four and this was one of our favourite holidays. The staff we met were professional, accommodating, warm and engaged (Jane, Tracy, Summer, Deanne). It’s obvious to see they take pride in their work and their hotel. The food was excellent and with children eating free for each paying adult, was very good value for money ! The room was spacious, room supplies replenished on request and plenty of parking space which is also included in the room price - nice touch!

Hotel management needs to invest some money into pool renovations, hopefully this is planned during quiet season this year, if it is, we will be back!

The pure comfort and relaxed environment along with being greeted by the evening staff member who made my daughter feel very welcomed ,the room was sufficient enough for the size the bed is honestly so comfy and the bathroom perfectly tucked away ,great lighting choices aswell , honestly great little gem don't be decieved by the front as the building sits comfortably within the town but once inside you'll be surprised and even a pool . And great for parking around the back

Probably just the evening meal not being open as did have to go back out to get some food .
