I spent a night at this hotel after a long, exhausting journey, and from the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. A special thank you to James at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. His kindness, attentiveness, and calm presence made all the difference. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely helpful and caring, especially when you’re tired and far from home. The rest of the staff were also lovely, but James truly stood out. Thank you again for making my stay so easy and comfortable!

Its a lovely place to stay, very clean, friendly staff and superb value for money. The spa is small and I can imagine it gets very busy in the summer but they were quiet over Easter. My friend originally booked us in for one night and we decided to extend by one night, I booked the second night through booking.com and that all went smoothly. Loved the breakfast menu.

The original booking was for dinner, bed and breakfast, however, we received an email to say the restaurant was going to be closed for training and our booking would be downgraded to bed and breakfast. However, when we arrived, we were charged for the dinner, bed and breakfast. when we asked for the price to reflect the lack of dinner, suddenly dinner became available again. when we went down for dinner, we were presented with a lunch menu consisting mainly of sandwiches. The charge for dinner is in excess of £30 per person so I don't feel this was acceptable. Also, the TV wasn't working in our room so we had to change and noot all of the spa facilities were working.

Staff were very friendly and the place was very tidy. We had a minor problem when we first got there but they sorted it out for us immediately with no problem. Didn't manage to use the spa but the hotel itself was very cozy and homely. The bathroom in the Berkshire suite was amazing, lovely bath and shower. Bath fits 2 people very comfortably. The bed was also very comfy too. Tea/ coffee maker in the room was always stocked up with enough for my partner and I. Overall a very lovely stay and hopefully we'll be back again!😊

We didn't have the time to use the spa facilities but that was on us as we're not the greatest with time management. Overall have no complaints to about the place!

Our stay was a birthday treat for my mum. The location is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel is stylish and clean. Our room (102) was huge! The bed and the pillows were really comfy and the bathroom was spaciois with a bath and big mirrors. Tasty breakfast with a goodvarietyof choice. The spa and the beautiful garden made our stay extra special and relaxing. I would also mention that every single staff member was genuinely helpful and lovely.

Although they say there is always room for improvement, I could not mention anything that I did not like about the Frederick's Hotel.

We were on a room only basis so can't comment on the breakfast. The spa area was kept well and was very welcoming. The pool was really warm and it was nice to be able to swim outside as well. The room was spacious as was the bathroom.

Always disappointed nowadays when bottled water in the room is in single use plastic. The bar areas are a bit tired but for the money we paid, we weren't expecting perfection. Window restrictors on downstairs rooms would have made us feel more secure and staff should be encouraged to congregate away from the guest windows. They seemed to take their breaks out in the car park which was very close to our bedroom window so we could hear them chatting quite early in the morning.

Overall the hotel is lovely, as I was travelling for work I didn't visit the spa. Check in was quick, receptionist told me everything I needed to know. Good size room, a big bath, really comfy bed and slept well. Lovely garden area where we sat outside for an evening drink. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet, was a good selection of both hot and continental. Didn't eat in the restaurant but when I was sat in the garden the food coming out looked and smelt pretty good. All staff that I spoke to were friendly and polite. 10 min walk to the train station all down hill.

The bedroom furniture is a little dated, which didn't really effect my stay, a few of the curtain hooks were coming away. The bathroom had a shower curtain which I'm not keen on, that's just personal choice, a bedat with a phone next to it, little strange. The shower head could do with replacing. There was only 1 bedside light and the switches to use it were at the opposite side of the bed.

Short stay for business but still managed to use the sauna which was great apart from the wooden slats moving. A comfortable "small" double room but perfectly adequate for a business stay and the shower was brilliant, except the bath felt quite slippery and there did not appear to be a non slip mat anywhere. Breakfast was good although with small numbers of guests I can understand why the selection of fruit, cereals and yoghurts was limited.

Wooden slats in the sauna should be fixed. None slip mat for the shower would be good.

This is a gem of a place, I mean from value for money and friendly helpful staff. It is not 5 star and does not pretend to be but is a diamond in the rough. So much potential but price reflects this. Was extremely large rooms, beautiful setting and the staff were kind, smily friendly and nothing was too much trouble they seemed very happy. I would stay here again.

Needs two hot tubs in the grounds would do just the ticket

Excellent Hotel. The room was spacious with a decent overhead shower, the outdoor pool was relaxing within tranquil grounds all around the hotel, breakfast options great, location 10 min walk to station, being a short distance to Windsor. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough if you are looking for a relaxing day time with access to local amenities/travel. Fantastic all round for the price

No negatives whatsoever

The hotel is a little ‘tired’ but the decor is elegant and we had a beautiful room with a sumptuous bathroom and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The chef cooked us a steak au poivre with chips and broccoli the evening before which was very tasty and we had a sticky toffee pudding and cheese and biscuits - all served nicely sitting overlooking the garden. The swimming pool was beyond expectations as warm as a bath
