The staff were excellent. The food at the restaurant was excellent.

Not enough staff to support restaurants and bar and front desk.

The breakfast was fine. A number of different choices more vegan or vegetarian options would be great! The location was lovely and the staff were very accommodating.

Was a little noisy. Could hear the guests next door talking and got woken up a number of times during the night but I am quite a light sleeper. Would be nice to have access to the breakfast and dinner menus before ordering...online? Or in the room...

Pleasant location and helpful welcoming staff, carried cases upstairs for us old people. THERE IS NO LIFT. We were celebrating my wife's 80th birthday and they rose to the occasion by putting loads of balloons on the room and little trays of chocolates and strawberries. with message in chocolate.. Lovely touch. Hot tub was good and large.

The room and ensuite bathroom were very small for the price we paid. On arrival we were told: you booked with Booking.com so you have a small room. Not the sort of thing you say to the wife when the husband paid for it! The room was so small that when the many big balloons fell off the bed there was no room to walk round it. So the room and the restaurant were rather over-priced but no doubt as advertised.

There was a problem with our room type upon arrival due to an error with booking.com. I want to say that Hannah on reception went above and beyond to ensure despite the mistake we had the best stay possible. She was extremely professional and kind to us! Thank you! Dinner was absolutely delicious with great cocktails. Surroundings are beautiful aswell and I had a wonderful massage which was very relaxing.

I’d say the spa area was small with only a hot tub outside and a sauna. Double beds are definitely on the small side, we had rooms to ourselves but if we were sharing it definitely would have been a squeeze.

hot water stopped working on the morning we needed it. reception isn’t well covered Ie sometimes it takes a while to speak with someone when needed. staff however were great once you could get hold of them. would be great if they had a steam room as well as sauna

The drinks were expensive and the hydro pool in the spa is shut, and no availability for treatments

The location was perfect for our needs and the grounds were beautiful. The hotel itself was amazing and pet friendly however I did have to request a change of room as we were allocated a room on the top floor with steep stairs and no lift which with the dog was not good. How3ver the staff were very accommodating and made the change without any fuss.

The phone and tv signals were poor and we had problems with the internet which was resolved reasonably quickly.

This grand, glamorous property is stunning, and I can't praise Taplow House enough! Wendy at the front desk is so kind and friendly, I've become a regular! Now she and the entire staff greet me with a warm hug! The treatments at the spa are divine. The food is delicious. The service is spectacular. The hotel is well-maintained and full of old-world British elegance. The grounds are a gorgeous quiet sanctuary, especially viewed from the sparkling clean whirlpool outside the spa. I can't rave about this hotel and its staff enough!

Beware some of the rooms are quite small because of the age and design of this manor home. Pay a little more and upgrade you room if you want a lot of space around you.

The room was very nicely appointed and the view out at the garden lovely. The location of the hotel is very quiet and relaxing - just what was needed! I had the steak in the evening which was cooked just how I like it and the choice of red wine was very good - we were looked after when making the choice! Breakfast was great too, lovely food, perfectly cooked. Wendy and her team really looked after us - they are a great asset to the hotel!

The only issue was I burnt myself a bit on the towel rail, there was a sign saying "Caution: Hot" but it was at the bottom rather than visible near the top. The double bed was a bit smal for both of us so if we come again next year will book a king size instead. Service was a little slow but I appreciate the hotel was busy during our stay, probably with it being Royal Ascot week and it may be hard to staff accordingly for a relatively short event like that.

The hot spa and sauna are a great addition. The grounds are lovely and I managed a run. The soup was lovely and I enjoyed the cheese and biscuits. Breakfast was also good.

The Bath in my room was so close to the toilet I bruised myself trying to get in and out because the screen was fixed and only a few inches space. I am a small female. There were also a number of hairs in the bath which was a bit off putting. My dinner was burnt but it was still on my bill, but they took it off at checkout- however I discovered after I shouldn’t have been charged as I was half board! Still awaiting a reply on this and hopefully a refund…
