We had high expectations for the rooms at the Waterside, given we have visited many times for food and drink. Our expectations were exceeded! The room was unique and beautifully designed, with excellent facilities and finishing touches. The staff were friendly and showed a great understanding of service and hospitality. The bed was comfortable, and there was a gorgeous view of the canal and Monton lighthouse from the window! The food and drinks selection in the restaurant were excellent, and the chef certainly wins our praises - as did our lovely server, Madeleine. We particularly enjoyed the little parrot in our 'Bridgewater' room - quirky and fun! The location is excellent for a couple of nights near friends, with the high street and beautiful walks directly next to the hotel.
My only small issue was the bathroom mirror being very high up on the wall.. I don't see myself as being a particularly small person, but I couldn't see myself in it! Everything else was perfect.

We really enjoyed the stay, everything was great, the accommodation, cleanliness, the reception staff very friendly and efficient. As we came midweek we couldn’t have breakfast, and whereas I fully understand why it would be impractical for them to fire up the kitchen equipment for very few customers, we felt there could have been a vending machine or 2 providing snack-type food.

The location was excellent for RHS Bridgewater and the industrial heritage of the area. The outdoor seating by the canal ( and great weather!) was great for Scrabble and beer. Bar and restaurant staff were very helpful, and found us a fan.
The wi fi was patchy but about to be renewed. The room lighting was not strong enough for bedtime reading.

Nice comfortable room. Decor really nice. Didn’t take a hair dryer as normally there’s one in the room but unfortunately not in this one! Also no milk in room. We were going out and asked for some to be put in the room built unfortunately this didn’t happen and when we got back really late after closing time no milk for coffee and no milk for tea the next morning. Husband had to go out really early to the local shop as no one on site to assist.
Loud disco music at lunchtime outside.

Its location on the canal side was beautiful and convenient for the purpose of my stay. The decor was unique and gorgeous. My room was sumptuous from the decor to the fluffy towels. The food in the restaurant was delicious, piping hot and plentiful and all the staff in the venue were friendly and helpful. Even the locals were friendly offering a solo traveller company.
There was absolutely nothing that I didn’t like

The location was lovely! We had easy access to a beautiful canal walk and taxis could easily find us! The room was clean and modern and they provided a fan for the heat! It was all quite private and never loud! Excellent place
The staff could have been more helpful! We went for breakfast on the first morning and we didn't realise we had to pay when ordering , or my husband wasn't asked if he was staying there so we could use the discount! I'll take responsibility partially because the man who brought us to the room told us about the discount , but he didn't hear that! But I feel the staff could've just guided us through it more , kind of felt like we were supposed to know what to do. There was lots of spiders on the windows so I couldn't really open the window at all! And the mirror was a bit dusty! We're not too particular but for others more so! Really it was a beautiful place!! Sorry for nit picking

The room was quirky and very modern with a relaxing vibe to it.
The TV kept changing channels on its own, volume going up on its own and suddenly came on. Would have been helpful if there was a coat hanger for trousers. Also only one tea bag in the room, meant I couldn't have a cup of tea in the morning. Hairdryer would be useful.

Really great location. Particularly enjoyed walking along the canal in the late afternoon sun (it doesn't always rain!). The bathroom was good, excellent shower. Comfy bed. Easy, safe parking. Pleasant helpful staff.
TV did not work, perhaps the batteries on the remote need replacing? I didn't bother the staff although I am sure they would have tried to help. Bedroom a bit dark for my taste but you can tell that from the photos. Scandi-bright minimalism more my thing.

What a great find ... The staff were very friendly, one of whom showed us to our room and explained a couple of essentials. The room itself was very stylishly and inspirationally decorated. The location is great and within easy walking distance of a decent selection of bars and restaurants on Monton Road, or of course the Riverside has it's own restaurant and bar but sadly we had drinks as we'd already made arrangements with family. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time we're visiting our relatives.
Breakfast only offered at weekends but not a huge issue

The room was great and the decor very quirky, huge bed so very roomy. Also the ensuite bathroom had everything we required and plenty of space. Great tea and coffee choices including biscuits 🍪
The only main issue we had was that the room was quite cold and when I tried to find a member of staff to ask how to turn on the heating the restaurant had closed so no staff were available and all doors were locked. My husband did eventually manage to find a dial at the bottom of the radiator which finally worked, so all good in the end.
