What a lovely place to stay for a night or two. The Melbourne Hotel is definitely the best value for money. It's clean, tidy, and very well looked after. The bedroom toilet and shower were spotless. The bed was so comfortable. It's a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ all day long. Like me, if you're doing a trackday at Donington, it's only 5 minutes up the road, i'ts perfect I'll be using the Melbourne Hotel all the time from now on. There's nothing to dislike 😁

Small, clean hotel with beautiful well kept grounds in a pretty Derbyshire village. We stayed overnight as we were going to a wedding in the locality the day after. Love the fact that planes were going over very low as the runway at East Midlands Airport it’s about a mile away. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel recently. Really enjoyed our stay.

Cannot think of anything that wasn’t good.

This is a really nice small hotel, with a personal feel. Staff were lovely - smiling, friendly and attentive. Comfy room, with very large bed. Peaceful and tranquil. Ground floor room was set up well for disabled guests, with flat access all the way from car park (which was right outside front door), and wet room shower. Breakfast was included, and was a good size and very tasty indeed.

Slightly out of town. Radiator was a bit creaky when it first turned on, but only briefly, so not a problem.

Lovely little room in a great location for us due to being at the race track which is 2 mins down the road!! Staff were very friendly and let us be.

Only thing I would say is we were staying in the outdoor family room (11) as this was a shared building with another room who decided to come in at gone 12am causing a racket which we could hear and woke us up so the room aren’t sound proof which is the only down fall.

There wasn't an actual door from the bedroom to the en suite in my room. Although very beautifully designed there was only a curtain and fortunately I was by myself, but if I would have been with someone that would have been very embarrassing

my daughter and I were at Donington race track and stayed the night at Melbourne view hotel, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it looked, both inside and outside. breakfast was delicious 😋 we will definitely be back next season and highly recommend 👌

there were no bad things about this hotel, even the planes flying over didn't disturb us 😴

I received a friendly welcome, even though I was late. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed had a decent, firm mattress.

The general standard of fixtures, fittings and finish were okay but a little tired in places. Nothing awful though.

Greeting on arrival was excellent (even though we were late) Breakfast looked nothing special but in fact it was superb.

Only thing we could fault (and its a very small point- hence 9 out of 10) was we couldn't really enjoy the amazing views out of our room because other guests could see into our room. Wouldn't stop us returning.

Comfortable room. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast.

Turning left from the hotel on to the road was tricky due to a blind corner. A mirror on the opposite side of the road to detect oncoming cars would be helpful.

Arrived late owing to traffic so it was dark and only a member of staff at reception to book us in and give us keys. Had a very early start, left before 6am so didn't get to experience the booked breakfast or staff hospitality

Not able to comment as late arrival and early departure so no interaction with staff. Hotel was very clean of what we saw.
