The accommodation was good value for money, it was cosy, clean and very comfortable. The staff were all extremely friendly and very welcoming. Our first meeting with the staff at reception made a really good impression and we felt relaxed immediately and ready to enjoy our mini break in Nottingham. There is also a very good bus service just outside the hotel directly into Nottingham centre or it is easy to walk into the centre too from the hotel. Car parking facilities at the hotel were very good too. We had a perfect stay at The Cotswold Hotel

The room, though small, was very good value for money. It was clean and had everything we needed: a comfortable bed, a shower that was easy to operate, plenty of storage, a TV that worked, a window that opened and tea/coffee-making equipment. The hotel was just a few yards from a bus stop with a very regular service into the town centre. The hotel has a garden with seating and a small lounge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful; they couldn't have been nicer!

This is a small, family-run hotel on a main road, so do not expect luxury. A couple of small issues with our room did not prevent us from sleeping well and having a good stay. We would certainly stay there again!

The room was very small (it was a single), but it was exceptionally clean. As this was a cheap hotel, I had expected to be cold that night , but the heating was on and the room was lovely and warm.

The only fault was that the blinds at the window were broken, a member of staff rectified this, but I still felt that it was a bit too light, especially at the front of the building. As it was on a main road the roar of the buses was horrendous, luckily they didn't run all night! However, I wish that I'd brought a sleep mask and some ear plugs!

This is my second stay at this hotel, the guy on the reception desk is extremely friendly, there’s parking right outside it the forecourt. The room was lovely and clean, and I always have the best nights sleep when I stay there, it’s so much better than other hotels & the room rate is very reasonable and competitive. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel & I will always book here when I’m in town seeing family Thank

Every three was great

The Cotswold is a budget hotel so anyone expecting The Ritz (as some reviewers seem to have) will be disappointed. For those more realistic, who expect a little less for the price they paid, they won't be disappointed. The room was clean; the bed was fine; the bathroom included loo, sink and shower - all clean; you get tv, coffee and free wifi; nice staff, it was quiet; there's lots of shops and places to eat locally, including a Wetherspoons just a 5-10 minutes walk away on the same road. Overall, I was very happy with everything.

There's limited parking outside the hotel but instead you can park in the pub car-park across the road. I was a little apprehensive about leaving the vehicle there but it was fine

Location is perfect, less than £5 for a taxi into town. The staff were lovely and friendly, as cheap as chips for a nights stay breakfast smelt amazing but unfortunately I was to hung over to try it. The room was clean and had tea/coffee supplied.

The mattress was uncomfortable but I Can’t really complain because you get what you pay for, if you want The Hilton comforts you pay Hilton prices, it is what it is

The room was comfortable and clean, looking as though it has been refurbished in recent times. The reading light fitting above the desk and the beds were broken and need replacing. The bathroom was clean and well fitted, the shower worked well. Thet do not provide fooe (breakfast) but there is cafe just across the road and the hotel is near to restaurants, in particular The Masala Junction is an excellent Indian restaurant and the famous Cod's Scallop fish and chip shop is again just across the road. There is no need to deriv in toe the centre as the are pleanty of busses going into the city, which is about a ten minute ride away and coming back of course.

Reading lights not working, otherwise it was as much as I had expected.

I liked the staff; the room was small but very comfortable, and very clean. I particularly liked that the shower stall was large enough for me, as a large person, to use comfortably. Nicely presented tea/coffee area, and the two power sockets at the bedside also had USB outlets, which I found extremely helpful

There wasn't anything I didn't like; a couple of cosmetic things that I'm sure are on the list to be made good, but which were certainly not an issue

Great location, 24hrs reception, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, free parking, really cheap compared to similar accommodation nearby. The gentleman at reception recommended fantastic restaurant and we enjoyed it very much.

You could hear other people talking and moving around. No option for food but... plenty pubs, restaurants and shops nearby.

The location was great for the football in Nottingham, just a quick Uber to the ground. Plenty of pubs and shops nearby the hotel and bus stops if prefer. The room was good for what we needed. No frills but clean and reasonably priced.

Could have done with towels in the room. There wasn’t even a hand towel in the bathroom after washing your hands. Maybe the housekeepers just forgot but if they arnt provided normally would find it a little odd.
