Pet friendly although when we arrived we were told it was more than previously told on the phone but cheaper than some Days Inns. It was quiet & the shower was so amazing we wanted to take it home 😂 on the site of the services there were so many food outlets that everyone should be able to find something they liked. It seemed to be so alive in the afternoon & evening but away from the hotel so didn’t cause any problems. Also as this services is located at J17 on the A1(M) it’s very convenient.
The carpet had some marks from previous clients but (as I think it was a dog friendly room) so long as we didn’t get the blame as our two little dogs were very well behaved & we took them out on a regular basis just in case, we had no problem with it.

Easy to find location wise. Check in was quick. Staff were incredibly helpful. One item needed a repair in my room and it was dealt with very quickly. I liked being able to screen mirror my phone to the TV in the room for watching Netflix. The room has everything you need for a one night stay and the bed was comfortable enough. I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't hear the traffic noise when in my room.
I could hear some people in the corridor once or twice, but that wasn't at a time I wanted to go to sleep.

The person online booking was excellent (Cat) and put us in a room that was very big as we had lots of instruments with us from work. Room was lovely and warm and the hotel was quiet.
Pull out sofa was very thin and hard and not too comfortable and could do with a new mattress as it had an obvious slump in it where it’s been used over time. The carpet was very stained and dirty looking but it was obviously hoovered, just tired looking. Our shower leaked through the wall into the room but not in the shower room itself. We reported it to the lady on the desk who accusingly asked how it happened and what caused it. It looked as though it had leaked previously and perhaps hadn’t been reported.

The staff were polite, helpful and smiley. The lady who booked us in also had a sense of humour something often lacking in those in front-of-house roles. The room was clean.and the bed was comfortable; what more could one ask for when our overnight stay was SO competitively priced. It was our first stay at a Days Inn but it certainly won't be the last.
Not much really. I am a compulsive tea-drinker and could have done with more than the customary 4 tea bags and sachets of milk. I'm sure more would have been forthcoming if we had asked.

Quiet, well maintained, welcoming, close to food outlets in service station next door. Plenty of parking. Disabled parking very close by. Great to have power sockets beside the bed. Room was warm on arrival. Shower worked well and was easy to use, with a seat in the cubicle. Sink is outside of the seperate WC/Shower room, so convenient for 2 people to use at the same time. Adequate supplies for multiple hot drinks. No issues with guide dog. Grass for dogs needs nearby.
Doors at the front of the building were manual, heavily sprung and difficult to deal with when carrying bags & suitcases. Whilst all the bedding on the bed were clean, the additional pillows in the plastic bag within the wardrobe weren't clean. Maybe just need to remind cleaners to check whether they've been used if conscientious guests put them back in the bag after use.

Shower was good, plenty of hot water. Plenty toilet paper. Reception staff were excellent. friendly, efficient. I got the impression they're used to getting as tough crowd.
The carpeting of corridors and the room are overdue changing, and the room facilities are a little tired, but everything worked. More attention to detain needed in preparing the room needed as there was tea/coffee facilities (inc decaf, thank you) but no tea spoons. but the tissue receptable was empty. The TV remote had something oily on the controls

Very convenient location on the A1(M) with a great set of shops and food at the services right next door to the hotel. Easy to check in and out and a hassle free stay. Staff very polite and welcoming. The room was large and very homely.
Air con/heating blower extremely noisy even on low setting, so we couldn't use it. Window doesn't open wide enough. A few things were broken in the hotel room- the bed lamps, however it didn't affect our stay as there were plenty more lights in the room. The kettle is extremely slow to boil. Ran out of Tissues and toilet paper and refreshments rather quickly but it was easy to ask for some more.

Decent sized room (enough space for me to do my morning pilates workout!!), comfortable bed, perfectly good shower, good desk so I was able to work, lighting was fine. Fundamentally for £50 it's really good value for money. The TV was large and easy to use. There's no meals in the hotel itself - but it's part of a services with a Costa, M&S, McDonalds and plenty else, so that doesn't matter at all. I didn't really like the shelves of chocolate that were on offer in the lobby, but others might have done, and there were drinks for sale too at reception. Again, for the money, they provided everything they should have done.
It's a little tired around the edges, though it is clean and comfortable. If I'd been paying £100 for the room I'd have had some quibbles with the odd mark on the carpet for example. But again, for £50 there is very little to complain about and I was perfectly happy being there rather than somewhere more expensive.

Clean and comfortable so all I need for an overnight stopover for work.
Rooms are not ‘serviced’ daily and this seems to have become the norm since Covid. Nevertheless, my room had clearly been accessed during the day but why? As they do not empty bins, make beds etc. daily, why would someone access the room? Maybe they turn the thermostat down to save fuel/money.
