This was my 3rd visit. I cannot fault this accommodation at all.The room is cleaned every day and the hospitality tray etc replenished each day. The owners and the staff are exceptionally caring and helpful.and nothing is too much trouble The accommodation is quiet and spacious and beautifully presented Loved the fact that there is Netflix available, an Indian restaurant open on the ground floor every day should you want a meal/drink and a bar on the first floor open at the weekends . I am.already planning my next visit back to Londonderrys

Location is perfect for our needs - adjacent to the Byron Shopping Centre and Asda, so accommodated any retail needs and it's right opposite the Harbour and beach. Seaham is not a huge place but we were there for a friend's event and for us, it's perfect for a 2 day stay. All needs catered for toiletries and tea making wise - but see below for small omission. The free car park is behind the building and from our room, we can keep a watch on our car.

Bed was not stable; a metal frame and neither of us are slim, so I'm afraid it didn't feel safe. Both chairs in the room, the back legs were both too loose to sit on. I reported this on our last stay about a year ago when we stayed in the same room and nothing had been done - either that or it's a recurring problem and the chairs need to be replaced with something a bit more sturdy. All toiletries, tea making facilities are provided except Decaff coffee; this was also mentioned on our last stay and not acted upon, so next time, I bring my own.

We stayed for 5 days in the Family room 5 and loved it. Paula the housekeeper was awesome and nothing was too much trouble. The spa bath is awesome after a busy day & everything was good. If you are looking to eat out the Indian Samarat downstairs is amazing. We got breakfast at Asda or The lighthouse. We are already looking to book again. It’s very Central & An easy walk to the beach.

Sadly we had issues with the Shower not keeping pressure. Andy got someone in to look at it which did help for about an hour but we had to admit defeat.

Parking was easy, free and nearby. The key box worked well and our room was attractive, clean and just as described with plenty of space, a cool breeze, and toiletries. The bar looked lively and beautiful when we passed by. Our room was quiet (Sunday evening), smelled fine and had a good view. The hotel is in a very short walking distance to grocery and general stores as well as good restaurants and views of the sea. Looking for sea glass at the beach was a big hit with the teen. We liked that the town did not feel touristy.

In case soft vs firm is of interest, the bed in the family room was really soft, but we still slept fine.

the room was clean & fresh . its central to shops , bars & restaurants & just a 5 minutes walk to the beach

Great room and lovely bar below. Its a little noisy while bar is open but quiet after. Good central location, near beach and all shops/pubs/amenities. Lots of facilities in room : fan, fridge, full size kettle and drink making, safe, hanging space, bedside tables and plugs. Ensuite with shower. Self check in/out

Only 2 things ...tv is in a fixed place which is rubbish for watching from the bed plus couldnt get freeview to work. And this is just personal to us but we dont eat / like spicy food and the smell from the restaurant below is strong at times in the room. BUT this did not spoil our stay, the room suited our needs on this visit.

Very convenient location for beaches, food and walks along promenade and Coast Path. Public car park worked fine, directly behind property, despite being a Bank Holiday. Useful having fridge in room. My wife enjoyed the en-suite jacuzzi bath. Spacious and airy family room was ideal for our party of 3 adults. Quirky decor added interest. Don't be put off by restaurant on ground floor. Accommodation is on 2nd floor. Beds were comfortable.

Curtains a bit thin - room not very dark if you prefer to sleep in a blackout. I slept fine!

Easy to locate. Free parking at public car park behind hotel. Easy to access with key safe and instructions how to access. Large room with two double beds. Clean and tidy. Towels. A good range of tea, coffee making facilities and a useful small fridge. Great access for beach , marina , local restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops.

Shower over bath awkward to get in and out of. Noisy as restaurant , bar and bus stop outside. Bed set in alcove so can feel claustrophobic as sis in law didn't like but persevered .

The location was excellent. Close to shops and restaurants and good access to the beach. Bonus having a free car park.

There were a few grubby spots on doors, lamps and behind the sink. Wasn't hoovered very well either as found a biscuit shard from previous occupant. Being above a bar was convenient but noisy. You could hear conversations and other guests walking up and down stairs going in and out of their rooms..Otherwise a pleasant stay. Bonus having apps on the TV.

Had a great 1st time stay in Seaham, so much history to the place and the people all so friendly wherever we went. Room was lovely and comfy bed. Although no breakfast at the accommodation plenty of places to get one especially the Lamp room tasty breakfast there. Wanted to go sea glass hunting and found loads on Seaham beach and Noses point beach.

Only one small recommendation that the TV on the wall in room 4 could do to be on a swival arm as it was flat to the wall and from the bed you had to crick your neck to properly see the TV or as we did pulled the bed forward to be more level with it.
