Amazing hotel. Spotless, fresh feeling everywhere you go. Exceptionally polite and helpful staff. Amazing choice of breakfast. Staff can't do enough fir you. If you want to feel like Royalty, stay at this hotel!

We booked through booking.com so wasn't made aware that the hotel wasn't serving evening meal until the hotel rang me at which time I had already made the non-refundable payment online. The Spa was also full on day of arrival and the next day. Would like to have made use of both these facilities.

Warm & traditionally decorated. Lovely sitting room and other areas to relax in outside of the bedroom. Pretty garden. Great central location & lovely cooked breakfast

Shower wasn’t very powerful. As it is currently operating as a bnb only there was no where to get a drink on return to the hotel after we’d been to a local event. Would benefit from a honesty bar so you can really make use of the lovely sitting rooms &/or games room.

Staff are fantastic, the hotel grounds stunning , rooms clean and decorated beautifully, sheets very comfortable and in a great location. They don't advertise it but they do have a slow charging stn for your EV for a small charge, which was very handy.

The bed was a bit small, we had one of the suites ( I can't recall the room name), the room extremely at night extremely warm, even with the fan provided and porch door open. Rather surprised that they don't have a restaurant except for breakfast, yes they did write us prior notifying us and gave suggestions but for £300 per night it would have been nice. We would definitely stay here again even with these little problems but during cooler seasons.

Family room is excellent - very spacious and well appointed. Clean. Modern bathrooms. Staff was very helpful and allowed us to check out an hour late. Great location a few minutes walk from town. We left two items and the hotel mailed them back to us after alerting us via email. Wonderful service!

I’m not sure I would call this a 5 star property. It’s lovely but more like an upscale countryside inn with the basic amenities, though we did not try the spa and the cabins on the property look lovely also. The breakfast is pretty basic and there is no staff at the desk post 9pm. I would certainly stay again regardless.

Lovely, cosy hotel with stylish interiors in perfect tune with the surroundings. Gardens are absolutely lovely. The luxury of having a little spa to yourself is fantastic. The staff on the reception was super helpful. Chris kindly gave me a free upgrade, which was a great touch. I stayed at the Sage room, which was large, quiet, clean and stylish and felt like own mini-cottage. I also used the spa and had a relaxing massage. Rose was a heaven sent. She really helped me loosen my tired, tense joints and relax my mind. As for breakfast, there was plenty of choice for a vegetarian and it was very nice to sit watching the lush garden from the breakfast table. The only bit that was a wee bit underwhelming was the cooked veggie breakfast. But then, when you live in London, the vegetarian food scene is so fab that it it hard to beat. Other than that it was a lovely experience and I will be very very happy to come back.

Our room was very comfortable. We were tucked away on the second floor, so it was very quiet and private. All the hotel staff staff ‘clock-off’ at 9pm and the guests are left alone with a phone number and the run of the hotel, which was a little odd but also quite good fun!!

Even though the staff are really kind and helpful, all services end at 9pm, and hence the hotel it is effectively an expensive B&B! We needed some milk for a cup of tea after we returned to the hotel after dinner, which was obviously not available until the following morning.

The Manager upgraded our room to a Garden Room for my Husband who has COPD, which was so thoughtful and the room was so lovely. The Breakfast was one of the best I have had in any Hotel, so much choice. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, a credit to the Hotel. Location of the Hotel was brilliant handy for the Abbey and Town. Would definitely recommend this Hotel for anyone going to Sherborne, we hope to come back. Thanks Everyone Best Wishes Eric & Kim xx

Nothing we had everything we could wish for.

Gemma (I think? Sorry if that's wrong) the hotel manager was absolutely fabulous and couldn't have been more welcoming. As it was my other Half's birthday they added some lovely touches to the room such as a heart of petals on the bed and a card from all the staff. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Our go-to hotel in Sherborne and the garden rooms are great! But for the very high price, it feels like it’s slipping a bit recently (see below).

Why is the restaurant and bar closed for dinner in summer? It supposedly has two AA rosettes but has been closed our last two stays. Despite booking weeks in advance we could not get a spa treatment which was disappointing. Service for breakfast was very, very slow, it took over 35 minutes from ordering to get our food. For this reason the room rate felt rather expensive.

Excellent Breakfast - Excellent Service - a wonderful room with Tea and Coffee, Biscuits and even Sloe Gin provided! Very clean, comfortable and with good bathroom toiletries provided. Large Carpark, including electric charging point.

It's a pity that their restaurant is not open for lunch or dinner - although there are several restaurants within walking distance.
