Room was clean, bed very comfortable and large. Fresh white linin, 2 pillows per person. Main ceiling light and 2 lamps very bright great for reading. Tv and hair dryer. tea and coffee plenty of milk sachets and large kettle. Large bath no shower but suited us fine. Plenty of hot water.

Room was cold when arrived in the evening would have been nice if radiator had been left on low. Although not a problem for us we were on the middle floor but if you had mobility problems might be an issue Stairs quite steep and steps to get to the rooms and even more if you were on the top floor.

Staff were very accommodating regarding our later than usual arrival and holding the restaurant open a little bit longer for us. Warm, comfortable room with a very comfortable and large bed with excellent reading lights.

Room will need refurbishment at some point as it is an older style pub. Some things need attention although did not affect our comfort or relaxation in the room eg shower rail could have been tightened, radiators on low heat but a provided alternative electric heater fit the bill.

Greeted by a friendly staff member who made check-in quick and easy. The property is located adjacent to the Sherborne Abby and a cluster of historic and picturesque village buildings. The area was quiet at night. I was given a larger room on the top floor which would be suitable for a small family.

The shower stall was very small and may be difficult for a larger person; however, there is a bath provided. The room was on the upper floor so it was a little difficult to lug large bags up the steps. (This is not a negative comment and must be expected in older establishments - just be prepared.)

We did not eat there but it's location was perfect for other venues nearby. Having a free carpark behind pub was good. Had an issue with key to room and toilet door was not always easy to open. On informing staff when we left, after 2 nights, they said they are in process of dealing with keys and locks and would look at bathroom door. Room 14 has lovely view over Abbey and rooftops.

Key was difficult to use in lock of room. Bathroom door sometimes tricky.

Great location, comfortable and friendly staff. Informal and very quiet at the rear of the building. Room serviced every day. Obviously very popular with the locals for food and drink. I stayed for 7 nights.

Nothing. It is exactly as advertised, so not 5 star luxury, but a convenient and pleasant place to stay in Sherborne.

Staff excellent, Room huge, The location was excellent. venue pub & meals excellent. Thankfully really nice and warm. Towels and condiments aplenty.

Very noisy due to Pub below and the door from pub to Rooms always propped open, so as there was nothing between room and pub but a room door - so it was loud, be that in a evening with people or morning with cleaners. Bathroom sadly had a mouldy ceiling. The town traffic sadly races past too.

The beds are really comfortable - essential. Although this is a pub, accessing the rooms from the side door is great, especially as I was travelling with a child. Staff are really friendly and efficient. Lovely big fluffy towels! Love tea and coffee in the room and biscuits too!

The bathroom in the family room could be updated. Tap is difficult to turn off therefore drips all the time. Quite a lot of paintwork over the bath is flaking into the bath - not just small bits! It all worked fine, just a bit old and tatty, grouting for example. We could't get any heating but there was a heater in the room which worked fine for us. Breakfast changed from buffet to one dish served to the table. Must say I loved the buffet!

Great location. Easy parking. Clean. Staff, friendly and helpful. Value for money. Nice big comfortable bed. En suite facilities include a shower over the bath.

Nothing. Noise above a pub is to be expected. Decor and bathroom a bit tired, but it’s reflected in the price. Everything is clean, so that’s good enough for us.

I thought it wasnt great to have the staff hoovering at the same time as we were having breakfast at about 9.30 Am on Saturday- it was really noisy. The sound proofing in the room could have been better and the fittings a bit newer ( but all in full working order and clean)

The location is excellent right in Sherborne town. Parking was easy. Right behind the property. We have been here several times because our son attends school in Sherborne. The room is clean and comfortable. There is a pub downstairs, but we hardly felt the noise from the third floor. We normally have dinner at the pub.

Could do with a mini fridge. As with many inns, there is no lift. It's always a struggle for us going up with luggage. A small lift for one or two people would be perfect.
