We were given Room 8 which was a really large room with a lovely view looking across the Quaint street. We had a dog with us and she was made very welcome. and not charged any extra . The room was warm and comfortable and bathroom excellent. The Full english breakfast was very nice and cooked to order. Everyone was friendly especially Mark. Angel our dog was welcome in the Dining room . We would be very happy to stay there again. The location was central and we were close to a range of shops and takeaways. Very charming Village. to stay in. As we were going to Crufts it was quite easy to go to the NEC from there.

The Car park at the back of the Pub needed a bit more lighting and the rear entrance could have done with some TLC.We stayed on the Friday and Saturday night and it was noisy as we would have expected by staying on a weekend but all was quiet generally by 11.30-12.

Excellent value for money. We really liked how responsive the owner was and helpful with our questions and requests ahead of our visit. We had a double room with a private bathroom which was perfectly adequate. The property car park was full but the owner was really helpful in directing us to a very local, free car park. This was a great place for a short stopover (we booked as we were attending a wedding in the area).

The website and booking stated breakfast was included but we didn't receive this - I think perhaps this was due to the pub being closed in the early morning. This didn't impact our stay and we would stay here again if we needed a good value for money accommodation.

Great value with a tidy, but very dated, room. Plentiful tea and coffee in the room. Car parking at rear. Amazing breakfast, served by such a friendly staff member. Good location for getting around.

The venue itself doesn't feel overly welcoming, with dogs in bar areas not on leads and not being controlled, and not much seating. Staff and drinkers congregated below bedroom windows, using bad language and being loud at late and early hours. Room in desperate need of refurbishment with sharp broken tiles on bathroom floor, broken headboard and in need of double glazing, although I believe it's recently changed hands and work has started on freshening up the rooms. Broken glass all over parts of the carpark and disgusting amounts of dog💩. No WiFi. Could be really good, and hopefully after some work, it will be.

This is a real locals pub, the beer quality was excellent and well priced. The location is fantastic. Our room was clean, sheets and towels were good quality. All the staff were friendly and chatty

The present landlord has recently taken on this pub. He has plans to do it up which is needed, it's a bit tired and the carpets in the pub and stairs a bit grubby which he acknowledges. When done up this will be a great place, as it's a lovely old building with lots of character

The staff here were awesome. Very friendly, especially Mark who looked after us and our dog during breakfast. The breakfast was also superb!! Huge!! Room warm and cozy.

When we first walked in the pub appeared a bit rough and ready, and our room wasn’t ready. However we were well looked after, and after finding a different way into the pub, we were happy.

Home cooked breakfast. Large, clean room with bay window. Central location overlooking the town's main Street. Complimentary guest beer in the room. Friendly hosts.

Everything was great but guests need to remember that it is a pub! Karaoke was on during our first night (finished at a reasonable hour).

The breakfast was huge. Great choice of Full English variations. Staff attentive and very pleasant. Straight forward service, no fancy add ons,

The smoking area was outside bedrooms and folks were pretty loud late on into evening and smell of cigarettes etc wafted upstairs, perhaps situate the smoking area further down the car park near pool room.

A very nice old pub in a great location. Good on-site parking and a choice of bars to spend the evening. The inclusive full breakfast is plentiful, nicely cooked and served up. The evening meals are also very well apportioned and cooked to a high standard. Last but certainly not least, are the staff. They are all very friendly and give the impression they want you to enjoy your stay with them.

Very little really. The room was certainly very clean but part of the bathroom was probably due for an update. I got the impression that work was planned so it wasn’t something that would prevent us from returning.

It was a central location for exploring Shipston on Stour and surrounding area; we only stayed the one night, but enjoyed our stay, along with the cooked breakfast. The room was comfortable and quiet as we had requested

The room was at the top of 2 narrow flights of stairs, so not ideal with 2 sizeable suitcases and no lifts! the decor was somewhat tired, and could do with a face lift. Staff were friendly, though clearly stretched in their work, so sometimes difficult to make contact with - particularly at reception.

Clean helpful friendly staff

It stated breakfast was in the room there was a box of cereal outside the room no bowls or spoons so coffee and go. However we did get there really late and there had been a mix up (my end) with the booking of the room so they were not expecting us
