A beautiful building and surroundings which we were able to explore freely during our stay. History abounds! The room was very plush and the bed very comfortable. Our view of the chapel was stunning and we sat looking out with a glass of wine on both our nights. The food from the bar menu was delicious. The staff were all reassuringly kind and helpful. This is very important to me on my travels.

Wine prices were expensive as was the a la carte menu, hence why we opted for a bar option. Sometimes people just want a casual meal of steak and chips/chicken and chips etc....so having that kind of option might help those less-well off Lords like myself.

I visited the hotel for a couple of days to treat myself for my birthday and it was everything I had hoped for and more. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel incredibly welcome and taken care of. I was travelling solo and wanted to relax and enjoy some peaceful time for myself and this place delivered that beautifully. I was welcomed with a lovely birthday treat in my room along with a handwritten card from the team, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. Special shout-out to Matt at the bar: he truly went above and beyond and made my stay even more memorable. His amazing & attentive service and his friendly & warm personality made the whole experience extra special. The whole front-of-house staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and nice. I left feeling relaxed, happy, and genuinely grateful for the care and kindness I received throughout my stay. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to anybody too!

The only small downside for me was the bed setup, it was two single beds pushed together, which is probably great for couples, but as I was staying alone, I found myself drifting into the middle and feeling a bit like I was in between two beds. It wasn’t the most comfortable for solo sleeping, but I imagine it would be absolutely fine for two people sharing.

Absolutely fantastic venue. The staff were excellent. There were only 2 slight issues. 1/ Needs better coffee facilities in room. Maybe a coffee machine. There is plenty of choice for tea drinkers but less so for coffee drinkers. 2/ We had breakfast in our room. The food was excellent but it had lost temperature. It wasn't cold, but it was only warm. Same with the coffee and tea. Apart from that, it was great stay.

Beautiful building and room, fantastic food, friendly helpful staff. Also lovely card and cake for my husband's birthday which was much appreciated.

Surprised at how many kids were there as it seems like a grown up hotel! Sadly many are not well behaved and we almost had to climb over them playing on the floor in the dining room in the evening and at breakfast. Sad when we came to relax after looking after grandchildren! Also large service charge added automatically which you feel bad about asking to remove.

Wonderful stay on a sprawling estate which was lovely to walk around. Didn’t use the pool or wellness centre unfortunately. Great facilities and excellent base to explore Stratford on Avon, Oxford and smaller nearby towns by car. Chateau style hotel, very friendly staff, comfortable room with lovely shower, big & comfy bed, sitting area and mini bar fridge- no freezer. Lots of pillows and gown and slippers.

A suggestion rather than a dislike: A light/ lamp on writing desk would be helpful as it was hard to see late afternoon/ evening.

Ettington Park Hotel exceeded all my expectations. The staff and service were absolutely fantastic, making our stay feel truly special. The breakfast was unforgettable – honestly one of the best I’ve ever had in my life! The grounds were stunning and perfect for a relaxing walk, and the spa was a wonderful addition to our stay. I also really appreciated the thoughtful vegan options available.

The only area for improvement was the room temperature – it was hard to control, and the bathroom (room 23) was consistently cold. Despite this, our experience overall was exceptional, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful hotel.

As soon as we walked into the hotel on a wet Sunday evening to be greeted by Eseme and a roaring log fire we felt welcome. The room we had was huge with very comfortable bed. It was my partners birthday and we had a hand written card from the manager Chris and birthday chocolate treats in the room. Even though we booked with booking.com the hotel rang us a week ahead to see if we had any special requirement and if it was a special occasion. Within 10 mins of being shown to the room Eseme rang us to check everything was OK. The service was excellent but without being pompous. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks to Sam, izzy, Tracey, Damon , barman William? and those whose names I can't remember! The spa was very nice and the pool warm. The food was very good as well. The grounds were lovely and we were lucky enough to have a covering of snow while we were there. The hotel had a selection of wellingtons at the front door so we were able to go for a walk in it. It was also great to see deer grazing outside in the evening. We read the reviews before we went which were also very good. There were a couple of comments about some parts being a bit tired. The hotel is an old house and hence not spanking new and modern, but there was nothing that detracted from the lovely experience we had. It's not cheap but we were happy with the price we paid for the service and experience we had We had a wonderful few days and staff that care whether you're enjoying yourself makes such a difference.

What an interesting stay! The hotel is one of a very small number in the UK which can truthfully be described as excellent. Proper service, stunning building, a treat to stay there. Our stay however was particularly interesting! It was the weekend of the early December storms and around 6pm the power went out. The perfectly trained staff went to work. We spent a marvellous evening in the house illuminated solely by candlelit. The bar remained open, an excellent buffet was provided and all was silent other than the storm! The manager did exactly what his job describes and managed, perfectly. The next day we awoke to a silent hotel and went on our way with an agreement to return in more traditional circumstances. Couldn’t ask for more. Well done e everyone. You’re in a diminishing league of your own - you should be proud.

Absolutely stunning, the most relaxing two night stay ever. We left feeling very de-stressed. The spa was delightful and the staff couldn’t have done enough for you! They were all so friendly. The food was SO good and the cocktails were excellent too. Very clean, super comfortable and would love to go back! Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough for a relaxing few nights away. It’s also only a 15 minute drive from Stratford upon Avon which is lovely for walks/ nice shops! Top tip would be to book any spa treatments in advance as unfortunately they were fully booked when we were there!

As a seasoned traveller , small things matter- at this hotel you had instant hot water when you turned on the tap! When we had checked out straight after breakfast, I chatted with the staff about how far we had to drive to get home ( a long way) and they gave me a box of lovely breakfast pastries to have for the journey home. It is beautiful historic hotel, with all mod cons and comforts, and set in fabulous gardens. All the staff we met were terrific. We will definitely stay at this hotel again and regret that we hadn't discovered it sooner.
