We stayed 2 nights at The Swans Nest Hotel was absolutely wonderful, first impression was lovely. Staff were welcoming & very polite & gave us all the information we needed. Decoration beautiful & very Clean , we were very impressed with our room. It was gorgeous. Breakfast delicious , everything you wanted & more. We had an evening meal celebrating my husbands birthday & the young man & young lady waiting on were great. They secretly put candles on pudding that asked them to do & sang to my husband. ( they did ask if he would mind ) food again delicious & reasonable. We would definitely recommend & go again. Many thanks to all there ***** Sammie & Les 🥂🍾🎉🥰

Good choice of breakfast and quick service. Room was comfortable and clean with complimentary drinking water each day. A kettle and tea, coffee making materials were also provided in the room. The location was spot on, short walk over a bridge and we were in town, near the RSC theatre, Sheep Street, Tudor world and shops and restaurants.

We booked a stay and stipulated breakfast to be included. Our invoice then stated breakfast was extra and we only booked room only. There was some confusion regarding this and our final bill was over £60 more than booking.com had originally stated.

The restaurant was very good. Staff lovely Food is really good value Pleasant surroundings Excellent wine. Reception staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. Nice lounge and bar area. Room was lovely on the whole. Good size TV with HD channels. Pleasing view of gardens and ferris wheel. Superb location. Definitely like to return

The poached egg looked lovely but was cold with an otherwise lovely breakfast. Similar issue with the starters luke warm and the chicken dinner could have been hotter. Such a shame as the taste was really good. Bedroom windows sills have peeling paint and cracking paper. Toilet wasn't cleaned, which was very off-putting. Reception apologised and offered to attend to it.

We stayed for a couple of nights as we were getting married at the registry office in Stratford. We had a lovely dinner and the staff were great to accommodate my gluten and dairy intolerances. The room was spacious, the beds are big and nice and offered a tranquil environment to get ready for our special day.

Breakfast is not great, they offer a continental breakfast and a choice of a cooked breakfast. The continental it's not too bad, but the cooked one has no quality and was poorly cooked and served. We mentioned we were getting married and it would have definitely added to the whole experience to have had a little detail in our room for it, as many hotels do.

Staff were very welcoming and proactive. They were happy to change our room and did so with warmth and understanding. Thank you Flora. Breakfast was well cooked with enough range, eggs cooked to order. Bar snacks and drinks were enjoyable. The rooms had nice bed linen and a range of pillows. Location is great, a short walk over the river into town. Parking, though, charged, is not expensive and so could leave it for our two day stay.

Room 66 has an extractor fan attached to the outer wall which comes on at 6am as the kitchen. If you're a light sleeper this may be an issue. Please note, the hotel were happy to move us.

Very conveniently situated for a trip to the RSC theatre. Great hotel, clean rooms, friendly and efficient staff and food at the Bistro was very tasty. I would recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again.

I couldn't turn the very noisy fan/air conditioning unit off in my room without removing the hotel room card from it's connection slot on the wall, and thereby also disconnecting all the main lights too!! Thankfully however, there were a couple of plug in side lights, so I was able to get around the problem.... Ideally, of course, I would have preferred to be able to have total flexibility and choice in the way I which I was able to control noise and light levels in my indoor environment.

Location was perfect.Although we have walking difficulties ,the walk to the theatre was magical on a dry evening. We had a pre theatre supper at a reasonable price and service was speedy and food enjoyable. The staff were efficient and friendly.One member of the cleaning staff offered to help with luggage .Don't know if it was part of her job but it seemed a spontaneous offer and very kind. Breakfast was good with a good choice of hot dishes. We asked for decaf coffee and the lovely Manager brought it to us as she realised carrying it ourselves would be a wobbly effort on our part.This was much appreciated.Some customers might be confused by the Bistrot being a separate entity with payment made to the restaurant independently. We were return clients so understood how it worked. Thank you all for a super stay .The beds were so comfortable.

A walk in shower will be requested next time. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and modern but the bath was too high for me to climb into to have a shower. I did it with help and the shower was easy to use but next time I will request a room with a walk in shower.

The Reception staff were very welcoming . Check in was efficient and went smoothly. They were very helpful when we had queries during our stay ( such as which was the best pub to watch the football) The pub within the hotel was great. All the usual drinks available . Staff were very friendly. Like the fact that Breakfast was cooked to order and brought to your table . Good choice / variations of hot breakfast. Good selection of pastries and cereals . The natural yoghurt was deliciously creamy.

I ordered scrambled egg on toast and was disappointed that it was made using powdered egg - didn’t like the texture or the taste. Would have been good to have a wider variety of fresh fruit.

Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Eggs Benedict was good. Location was excellent under 5 minutes walk to theatre and town centre

Lounge in the evening and Bistro for breakfast were both cold. Bistro only appeared to be heated by small plug-in radiators and the lounge area had an electric fake fire which looked cozy but gave off no heat. The night and morning of 9/10 January were very frosty with temperatures down to minus 1.5 degrees. Noticed the serving staff in the Bistro were all huddled round a small heater when not working. The bar area was also cold and the bar tender was a little under welcoming and seemed keen to close up and leave. The room and bed was clean, warm and comfortable but the bathroom, although clean and warm was a little dated with just an overhead rain-shower which is not ideal for womens’ needs. Also no shelf to put one’s own toiletries. Provided toiletries were very nice though.

Friendly , professional and went out of their way to accommodate . It was really cold outside and obviously when you have a door to outside as well as the interior foyer entrance from the hotel something that cannot be helped or I suppose if they haven’t got one installation of a heat curtain…anyway ,yes we felt cold one night in the restaurant by the weather. We installed ourselves in the foyer in front of the fire and immediately the receptionist turned up the heat for us , the restaurant brought our dessert into the foyer for us to enjoy in front of the fire , no bother. I saw the sane staff help a disabled gentleman at breakfast the next day , nothing was too much trouble. We had very accommodating staff behind the bar on both nights stay. Courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean we had a suite which was most comfortable and catered for our needs. The bathroom excellent with a large bath and dual use shower with a rainfall or angled jet option. Would have liked the usual sewing kit and shoeshine which weren’t included but I didn’t ask if these were available. It’s perfect for visiting the butterfly farm whis is literally next door but one. Overlooked by the big wheel ride on the opposite side of the river from the Shakespeare theatre and a pleasant vista . The cleanliness and eye for detail was on point . I observed the same lady reception staff member on walking past the sofas and chairs straight a cushion on a chair and observing the area for signs of anything amiss. Very nice to observe.

There wasn’t a dislike , just could’ve had a better set out for breakfast,after all it’s the most important meal of the day…the set up of cereals could’ve been better and the quality as these let everything else down , fresh fruit would’ve been nice at breakfast too . And the orange juice yuk powdered juice that was left more than a couple of hours so needed ice. Water in a carton that obviously needed a straw ( not supplied) or needed a glass that wasn’t supplied along with the coffee/tea cups . Yes there was small glass in the bathroom but really?Also a large wine glass in the living room area but then again really?
