Enchanting! Everything was beyond my expectation. The room was comfortable and clean. (Complete with personalized welcome note and brownies!) The location was perfect, just around the corner from the town center and Shakespeare’s birthplace. Also a 5 minute walk to the theatre and safe to walk home to after the show. The menu was exquisite and very well presented. The staff were kind and cheery with helpful and sincere advice to all my enquiries. Sitting in front of the fire to read before bed was a dream come true for me. And oh, the coffee is to die for! I’m already booking for my next visit! Thank you for very memorable stay.

The White Swan Stratford on Avon is "incredible". Everything of The White Swan is beautiful and top quality. The managers have looked at every possible detail to adapt a 1560s building "more than perfectly" to 2025. Spotless. Cosy. Fully of interesting literally tip-bits for interest. The breakfast is included in the room price. It's individually cooked with quality and care. Eating areas spread through the original 16th century rooms so that it's spacious and un-usual. This is the best breakfast of many I have eaten in hotels. Including the best tasty sausages. Scrambled egg mmmmm. Our bed was comfort perfection. All went well, no complaints, nice staff and place to stay. A little bit disappointed we weren't considered for an upgraded room by your reception staff etc. as we have received this in a lot of nice hotels we have stayed at in the past, especially as they had phoned me at home about our up and coming stay(read many reviews of guests being upgraded) and would have been the icing on the cake so to speak, especially as it was special occasion as the room was a little smaller than on picture shown for the money, but room itself was nice with cosy bed which was very comfortable.Location was ideal, and 15% voucher off food was nice to have received. Like to mention your cleaner who was very helpful to us.

Wonderful breakfast served by friendly and prompt staff. Room was comfortable, lacking only a second chair (funny how so many hotels provide just one chair in double/twin rooms!). Air conditioning in the room is discrete and effective (but see below). Stratford central location means no car spaces of its own but public facilities are close by and affordable.

Being on the top floor appears to place you in range of plant mounted on the roof whose vibration and sounds tend to disturb getting to sleep. After two nights one seems to become less conscious of the annoyance.

A second more than perfect stay in this 400 year old hotel (converted from a public house). Firstly I am disabled, I use a stroller, and the White Swan chose a disabled access room for me without discussion ... no extra charge ... and it was the best facilities and decor for a disabled access room I have ever had. We used the daytime restaurant for the first time. The Menu offered lots of substantial choices - how does such a small hotel offer so much - each item of such quality. Great central location, walking distance to Shakespeare's house and birthplace, and the town. Lovely character building tastefully decorated. Small double room but all functional and lovely bathroom with great shower. We were there in March so people weren't drinking outside but may be noisier in the summer. Staff really friendly and helpful. Overall a positive and enjoyable stay.

Wholesome breakfast but we did find the bacon and sausage hard and too salty, and the kipper breakfast next day was too salty to eat. We didn't complain, but hotel may wish to have a look at this.

Reception team were so friendly and helpful. Room was excellent. Clean and well decorated. Comfy bed and roll top bath. Lovely seating and very old world. Perfect for walking around Stratford.

I wouldnt say didnt like, hotel room was a bit too hot. Had a meal and starters didn'tt show up, asked for water a few times. Seemed distracted, were very pleasant. Given menus and only when ordering told we don't have that....hapoened to several others. Just let people know things are gone before! Might be worth checking behind bedside tables as a bit dusty. Would we stay again, absolutely. Minor things that were no big deal.

The staff (without exception) were friendly and helpful; from check-in to check-out The hotel itself has character, and was clean throughout. Lovely shower, comfortable bed Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch Location was great; about ten minutes' walk to the river

The room was slightly too small for the bed: there was only space for one bed-side table / lamp. Although there was a Nespresso machine and a kettle, only the coffee machine had a plug - the kettle had to be taken elsewhere, and there were only single tea bags (i.e. 1 x Breakfast blend, 1 x decaff) Bathroom extract fan didn't work

Nice comfortable responsibly priced hotel in good location

Air con wasn't working in the hotel and unable to open windows. Maintenance guy opened window but could only open it a couple of inches. Fan supplied but was still boiling hot. Afternoon tea wasn't covered by the discount offered to guests although I had emailed to check and staff had confirmed that it did. They did eventually grant the discount after we complained. They also charge extra if you ask for more tea - even Fortnum's don't do this. So be warned only to drink one small pot of tea each.

Room was excellent, Staff at reception, breakfast, bar staff were all very professional & friendly..

I was personally disappointed with the breakfast, service was impeccable but food wasn't very good, Bacon small, over cooked & tasteless, Sausage tasteless, I wouldn't choose to eat breakfast there next time I would go next door to the Cafe. Also during breakfast, we sat at the front window, outside the front of the building, there was a collection of Drunks, now I have a sense of humour but i mentioned to the staff are they here regular, which they are it appears, when I looked outside one of the gang said "What are them C%NTS looking at" now luckily I was with my Mrs, if I'd have been on a Jolly boys outing, I / we would have gone out sorted them..!!
