His patience care, concern and persistence in giving us step by step directions, thro a detailed running commentary on my mobile phone, from a deserted station at SAV on 16th Sept at abt 5.45pm until we reached the Croft half an hour or 45mins later, is something we will never forget.. Truly exceptional. No one has and no one will ever do that. All in all, a great place to stay and made so special by an amazing host.

Staff very friendly and professional at the same time. Accommodated our earlier arrival request, was given a key early to enter property without hassle. Parking is a great bonus of this place - we used back of the house car park. Breakfast- excellent and cooked to order preference and perfection; mix fruit, juices, yoghurt, cereal also available. We had Room 8, spacious with 4 poster bed, seating area, tea/ coffee making option, big bathroom with both , shower corner, bath and 2 wash basins. Property is 5 min walk to centre (river, market, outdoor dining, shops) and easily reached over the foot bridge), or 10 min to middle of tourist locations (Shakespeare's birthplace, etc). Good supply of pubs very close - we visited over a lovely sunny weekend, so the places with outdoor beer gardens / sitting area were a must (2 plus within less than 5 min from the house). Also picnic in Riverside garden is an option if you are not after dining out at all times, and don't mind business of tourists around you.

Nothing to point out specifically apart from room can feel quite noisy as facing busy road, traffic noise does not stop. Luckily we were tired from endless walking so were able to sleep through it

Really good cooked breakfast. Very friendly host. Genuinely eager for you to have a good stay. Parking ( limited to three cars at the front and three spots at the back ) Very close to the town and all the tourist amenities. You can literally walk it in a few minutes. Windows that you could open fully. Fan and hairdryer, with dressing table WiFi available Room 8 great shower and corner bath too... with two sinks ( his n hers )

Tv could only receive BBC channels and any other channels would just pixel out like a poor signal. Room 8 is a very big room, and equally big bathroom, but the 4 poster bed is a standard double .....and it would really suit a king size bed for more room if a couple. The decor is traditional, so I'm not sure on the 'propaganda wound' canvas matching the overal décor by the bed. Very steep steps to the top floor so not advisable if you have mobility issues. ( This is a traditional house)

Very nice room with spacious bathroom, double four poster very comfortable bed, hairdryer and bathroom products, well heated and good noise reduction from road, excellent location for walking to town centre and theatre, good facilities nearby, very good breakfast, coffee machine, friendly welcome, quite room, heated towel rail, large bath, parking available, very friendly host, good breakfast area and lounge, will definitely book again for visits to RSC, comfortable stay for single travel, safe easy walk back in the evening from theatre, very close to good restaurants and local tourist information, as well as good walks along the River Avon and locks

Location was perfect, just 5 min walk to town. Clean and comfortable. Great facilities including excellent shower, large TV and comfy bed. Breakfast very nice with good choice and hot part cooked to order. Kevin was very friendly and informative.

Was some road noise as our room was at front of house but didn't find it too much of an issue. Was worth it to be in such a good location and ear plugs work well for me at night. I guess you could ask for a room at the back of the house.

Breakfast was tasty hot and filling there was cereal fruit yogurt toast great to start the day The hotel was beautiful decorated clean Only thing I didn't like and this I'd just personal but pillows I like hardish ones not soft But bed was super comfortable The town was just 2 min walk from hotel , and Kevin was friendly without been pushy Carry on doing what your doing as its working

Really lovely welcome. Host was so helpful. Room had excellent facilities (eg shower gel, shampoo and conditioner). Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Parking was well located. Location a short walk from town and the local parkrun. Breakfast was very good - good coffee facilities and a range of different teas. They were able to cater for one of our party who is gluten free.

The location was great as we love the RSC theatre. It was a nice walk across the river and the centre shopping is very accessible. Breakfast was included in the price and the guesthouse owner was really helpful and friendly. There is free parking at the property as well which is a bonus.

There was an intermittent sound during the night from the water system it wasn't too intrusive but a bit irritating when you're trying to sleep. We didn't mention it to the owner but it sounded like a water valve was operating every five minutes or so.

It was clean, comfy and had a great location. Our hosts were fantastic and the breakfast was top quality, sausages and bacon were lush. We both slept like logs and the waterfall shower was a great way to start the day. Not perfect, I won’t lie, but pretty damn close for the price we paid

Absolutely nothing, apart from a cobweb that was high up in a corner we really can’t fault the place. Our room was at the front of the property overlooking the road and we still slept well. Just wished we’d had a chance to make use of the hot tub, next time for sure x

The welcome was great as Kevin was waiting for us at the door, he welcomed us and showed us where to park etc. Then asked how our journey had been and where we'd travelled from.. questioning whether we wanted a full English in the morning! Of course our answer was yes. Both mornings of our stay we had a great breakfast and service from Kevin, a pleasure to have host us.

The central heating in our room wasn't the best but we found a portable heater in the wardrobe which warmed us up perfectly!
