Lovely person behind the check in desk nice clean room and we enjoyed the swimming pool and the other facilities

Not happy with the price of the food on the evening menu £18.50 for a burger and chips that I think should have been £10 service not very good . Three of us in our party all ordered food the same time and same table number I was served first . I had to ask for cutlery and condiments I finished my meal before my 2 friends had been served when they're food came out the staff were walking around asking people if they had ordered then went to the bar to ask what table when the food arrived no cutlery again asked the waiter he went off somewhere waiting 2/3 minutes decided to get cutlery from a table in the restaurant poor service

Room was very good with more room than we expected and door access to the outside. The hotel was very busy that weekend so we found the restaurant was fully booked but we ate very comfortably in the bar.

Booking.com had told us that our request for a ground floor accommodation had been passed to the hotel but on booking in the receptionist told us that request had not been passed to the hotel and so a different room was given to us which was accessed via a lift which was fine. We believed we had booked and paid for breakfast and this happened on the first morning but on the second we were asked to pay for breakfast as the reception had no record of breakfast being inmcluded in our booking.

My upgraded room was beautiful. Spacious, elegant, comfortable. The view was stunning, and I absolutely preferred being in the oldest part of the estate. Dinner in another part of the building was just a stroll away, and the staff, and the food, were brilliant. Kuldeep was the shining star of the team....brilliant team member and excellent service provided. Also, the spa was lovely. Vaneesha provided me with a dreamy massage--relaxing and professional. I shall be back!

OK...unless I missed it, I couldn't find a folder with info about the hotel. Such as....menu options for dinner, so that I could start considering what I would order in the restaurant--or whether I might prefer to ask for room service as I was alone (was that an option?) Also, to match the luxurious feel of the room, a couple more coffee pods or some mini (homebaked??) shortbread biscuits would have been a lovely touch. I would have swum in the pool during my spa visit--but decided that an additional £12 to do this was too much. I know that the spa /pool complex is separate from the hotel, but I feel some arrangement can be made for guests. It was disappointing.

Stopped here several times with my dog to break up a long journey. It's a great location off the M40 and has lovely grounds to walk the dog. I usually meet nice local people too. Room is comfortable and the bar is decent with a nice garden space. Staff are lovely and helpful.

Booking was a bit confusing and when I got there I'd booked a superior room without realising and it didn't allow dogs. Luckily there was a room I could have instead. The bar wasn't well stocked on my first night and had no zero beers but reception had which was weird. The hotel feels like it needs a bit of tlc but overall a good stay. It would be amazing if it offered doggy day care so could use the spa!

The accommodation is in a really beautiful setting, we were on the top floor of the old hall and it was really fun staying in a "castle" (my son's words). Check in and check out was really easy, staff were all really friendly including at the pool. We had complimentary drinks in the mini bar which was a nice surprise. We didn't do breakfast but did have Nespresso and tea in the room. The stone effect free standing bath made the room look higher end too. When you think about how much you'd pay to go somewhere like Centre Parcs for pool/spa, bike rides, walks, a big room etc then it's a bargain! We had a bank holiday weekend doing Charlecote, Warwick Castle, Butterfly Farm and we could have done the British Motor Museum and more of we'd have had time.

It's tired in places but I think that's reflected in the cost. I don't even know how they maintain something this big. Our expectations were low after reviews and we were really pleasantly surprised. Our room was hot on the first night and the windows didn't open but there was a fan in the wardrobe which helped and it cooled in the evening.

The setting was perfect. The hotel appeared to be run down in general. Windows long overdue being replaced, one window didn't shut securely, wooden frame warped with age. Fire doors in all corridors left open! Major fire risk. Staff in the bar didn't apoear to know what they were doing. The best bit was the bed, this alone was worth the price. Reception staff were brilliant. Room service and cleaning staff were faultless. Regular tv channels were inaccessible in the room so tv viewing was limited in my room.

The bed, really had a good couple of nights sleep. Although the food was over priced it was good and served in good time from placing my orders. The reception staff were impeccable.

Fantastic tranquil historic location, excellent standard of accommodation, decor, and ambience. tastefully decorated, comfortable, and high standards of cleanliness. .Friendly, helpful staff who are very accommodating.. Food is to a very good standard. Highly recommended

The dining room and menu have good options, but several meal options were not available on the night of our stay. Tea and coffee are supplied in the room, but only a small quantity of milk is supplied There are no lifts to the 1st floor rooms. Persons with limited mobility would be advised to specify a ground floor room

Everything! Rooms - amazing, comfy and spacious. Some have lovely views. Room 4 - fab views, very large and comfortable. Room 29 - slightly smaller in size but equally comfortable. We chose to stay an extra night and were moved to rooms 16 and 17 which were both stunning. All these rooms are superior double. The restaurant served very tasty food - we had an afternoon tea as part of a spa day package. Leisure facilities and spa - very relaxing - we spent the whole day there! Staffing - everyone was great but Nadia at Reception was outstanding, she really went above and beyond to make our stay the best ever. We were treated like VIP’s. Thank you. We will definitely return again.

Nothing to dislike!

The hotel is perfectly situated with a massive space to walk and explore the estate, away from busy city life. I booked 3 rooms and we managed to get all of them in the Walton Hall building with ancient vibes and beauty. My room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and massive. I especially loved the large windows that offered a gorgeous view of the skyline. The bathroom was large with heated flooring. We did not have dinner at the hotel, but their breakfast was exceptional. The leisure center was really good. We enjoyed a relaxing swim in the heated indoor pool, followed by some time in the sauna and steam room. Not forgetting the staff (Hi Chris), all the staff we encountered were really helpful. This was a five-star experience in every way.

Nothing to dislike. My stay was short but definitely booking this hotel again

The staff are really friendly and helpful, check-in easy and the room was really incredible in the old house. For the price I paid (£88) I could not have expected such a huge and comfy room with everything you need from tea and coffee making facilities, fan, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, soap and moisturizer, nice towels, good bedding and excellent super king bed (two singles actually but together as a super king). The bed had a topper too for added luxury and I'm bed-fussy but had a brilliant night's sleep. The grounds are incredible and perfect for dog walking. We never heard a sound from other guests all night which was probably due to the wonderful old building. It's very well maintained and the room was lovely and warm. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on the food.

Only have one suggestion as the hotel is so dog friendly and that is where are the poo bins!? I did ask at reception but they didn't have an answer either. We ended up having to take the bag with us and finding a bin elsewhere. Worth knowing for other dog travellers. Maybe equip yourself with a Lock & Lock box for poo transport! Only other small dislike was the pillows were so flat and poor quality but at least there were enough to compensate!
