The hotel was lovely and the staff were very accommodating and nice. The beds were comfortable and the wet room was great. A very good size. When we arrived a member of staff was tending to the lavender plants in the car park, so it smelt devine.

The lifts weren't huge, so if you had a particularly large wheelchair you might struggle to get a carer in with you if needed. The menu we found in the room/online did not match what was given to us by reception, so it's best to get a menu from them directly. The menu we 1st saw had barely any gluten free options on, but the one from reception had a decent amount. There was only 6 (I think) disabled parking bays. Which obviously get filled up very quickly. I ended up having to park at the other end of the car park, as I needed extra space for getting in/out of the drivers side as a wheelchair user.

The receptionist was very observant when I checked in, as I had cut my finger and she offered me a plaster. She was also very chatty and welcoming with a genuine smile. I liked the fact that there was a buffet breakfast and lots of choice. There were a lot of staff around in the morning which was good if you had any queries. The selection was very good and even catered for vegetarians. The express checkout was beneficial so you didn't have to wait to leave.

I had a single bed, which was on wheels and kept moving when I got in and out during the night. The fact that you had to pay extra for parking, that should have been absorbed in the room price and only chargeable for people not staying at the hotel.

Great location for us as we had travelled down from Manchester to go on a cruise so it was a nice break and only a short drive in the morning. Great facilities including dinner without reservations and breakfast in the morning. Nice place to sit out the back. The staff were fab and very helpful! Gave us extra pillows and cover and helpful for any questions we had!

The only thing I could say is the back area was open for people to go onto the main road at the side, it felt like this should be gated as least but this is honestly a nitpick as I had a great stay!

The reception staff were wonderful.

For a wheelchair user, the public arra doors were heavy ( I have neuropathy in my arms ) they opened towards you and had no automatic press button. The door to the restaurant accessible toilet was a good example it was extremely heavy and opened towards me. I really struggled. Also the main door into the toilet area I got caught in it on the way out it kept closing on me and I became wedged. The door to our ground floor bedrooms corridor was the same. I was not able to to move independently around the building without my husband to.open doors.

Clean and modern.

Standard room bed was much smaller than we had anticipated. Ordering dinner at the restaurant and out of much. No pizza, yet 2 were ordered by the guests directly in front of us. Tried ordering the noodles with chicken, but no chicken. Had the chicken burger, which was very hot from being microwaved, but bun was super cold, as were the fries. Husband pushed button to make pancakes and left briefly to bring me a croissant at breakfast, within sight. Staff took those and ate them, then refused to let him have make more, as they were closing up breakfast.

The location was excellent for access to the various places of work around the area. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Everything was modern and the food in the evening was pleasant.

It was very little I didn’t like. I was there for three nights and The Hotel forgot to clean my room on the second night. I have stayed at Holiday Inn expresses in different locations and compared to the Holiday Inn express at Taunton the breakfast selection was not as good. However, the food that was there was very nice. This may sound like nitpicking but if you ask the question, you will get an answer

The room was large and really clean, there was a 24 hour restaurant service and onsite parking was free. The hotel is also really accessible from the M27. I was sailing from Southampton on the day of my departure and from the hotel there were three routes to the docks - all of which where 20 minutes, so very accessible. My stay at the Holiday Inn Express was on a par with my stay at a Premier Inn (for previous holidays)- however Premier Inn's in Southampton don't offer either free breakfasts in their price or free onsite parking. If sailing from Southampton I definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing really. My stay really did exceed my expectations. It was clean, the beds were comfy and the restaurant served food after 9pm. I really enjoyed my veggie curry and my Mum's pizza was very good. A very drinkable house red too and the eating area was nice. Breakfast was good too. And the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Spacious clean room with everything that you need really. Good breakfast options and coffee machines, although go early if you want cooked as the hot cabinet dries everything out.. Plenty of parking and the staff were all very polite and helpful.

it is starting to look a little tired in decor now, but not the end of the world. Shower curtain.!? in the year 2024, not the best and very noisy aircon that wasn't even turned on.!! My only other comment is.. Staff picking at bits of food from the breakfast buffet and drinking hot drinks while stood in the buffet area is not very professional in my opinion and would definitely be frowned upon by HSE, as customers we rely on you offering top notch food hygiene.

My daughter and I arrived around 2.30am after a 2 1/2 drive from London’s o2 arena following from a concert my daughter attended. We were both exhausted but was welcomed by the receptionist with a lovely warm smile. She was just what we had needed after a long day. The hotel entrance was spotlessly clean, was nice to get in from the pouring rain. I had messaged the hotel to say we were on our way when we left London and the lady confirmed she had seen the message. I felt out of courtesy I needed to let the hotel know we were definitely on our way. When I booked, I asked for a room close to the lift as I can’t walk far, our room was on the ground floor and close to the main entrance, which was much appreciated. Our room was perfect, the bed was really comfy, the bathroom was clean. All was great.

Nothing, however the USB ports beside the bed didn’t work, not a major issue at all as we had plugs but thought I’d mention so they can get repaired.

It's a place we often stay at because it's everything you need. It's clean, the staff are attentive and polite, it can be busy at times but it doesn't detract from the peaceful place it is. It has everything you need! Breakfast is great and sometimes we would take a few bits with us to have later. The only downside is that once we had someone banging on the door at 1am but imagine it may have been someone at the wrong door.
