Entering the hotel was mind blowing with the boats view from my window was 💯

I expected more variety of food

- The harbor view was fantastic and the hotel is in a quiet area - The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable - The housekeeping service was one of the best I have ever experienced. Every time they cleaned the room it was spotless and it was as if I was just checking in every day - The reception were very friendly and quick

- It was quite pricey - Unfortunately the landline in the room was dead and when we checked with guest services, we were informed that the whole floor was facing the same issue, and that it will take them a few days to fix it. We had to use our cell phone to contact the hotel for them to connect us to whatever department we needed which is inconvenient especially if you don’t have a local sim card.

The hotel is on a marina in a quiet area off a main road near the boat harbor. It is a spa as well and staying there allowed us free admission. The indoor pool is beautiful. There are other hotels and many restaurants within a 2 or 3 minute walk. The restaurants have beautiful views of the marina and city. The cruise ship Terminals, City and Horizon, are just a 5 minute drive away. The room is of a good size. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The bathroom is a good size and clean. There is a free decanter of gin with ice and glasses for consumption. The breakfast is good with a nice selection. The desk personnel were knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. I felt as if I was at a luxury resort the entire time.

Parking at the location is sparse and not a lot of room to get into. It is out of the way and a bit difficult to locate.

The hotel is a stunning property outside and in. We have stayed before and it was just as good this time. The bedrooms are gorgeous and cleaned to an excellent standard and the beds are so comfortable. The food in The Jetty was delicious and the staff are brilliant.

Nothing to dislike about the property at all but the only thing that we didn’t like was that we had booked dinner in HarBAR on 6th at 7.30 and had to leave 10 minutes later due to the volume of the dj playing music so loud it was impossible to hear one another. We went to book the following evening to be told there would be another dj at 7pm! We thought it was too early in the evening to have music so loud.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and extremely clean. We were upgraded to a better room on arrival without asking. The bed was wonderful, huge and exceptionally comfortable!

Nothing to dislike. The check in process was a little problematic because a physical credit/debit card was required for use of the mini bar etc, however as a lot of people do nowadays we only use ApplePay and didn’t have a physical card with us. We got it sorted with not too much fuss however and the staff were great at trying to sort.

Our room was excellent with superb views of the Marina. It was a good size with soft carpet and a large double bed (although a bit high to get on to) but certainly comfortable. A good sized bathroom with bath and shower, double sinks and lovely toiletries. Iron and board provided and a well stock mini fridge with snacks and drinks. Complementary water.

Lunch at the harbar on 6th. I had the fish and chips and although well presented the portion size was too big and the large chunky chips very dry. Wine was very expensive! My husband had the monkfish and this was perfect. Perhaps some small tapas style meals at lunch time would be nice.

The hotel was beautifully furnished and in a great location. Our room was lovely with great views. The restaurant at the top of the hotel also had magnificent views

I was warned that there would be ‘live music’ during our evening meal. I didn’t see the band or whatever it was but the volume was horrendous. We were put around the corner but had to lip read each other to guess what we were saying. Also we had no idea how to turn the lights off in our room so had to sleep with the lights on. We would have phoned down to reception (we were already ready for bed) but we didn’t know the number for reception so details of that and how to work the air conditioner would be very helpful. We also had to ask a guest where the breakfast was to be served (which was delicious I have to say)

I have stayed in a number of Harbour Hotels, they are generally good. Southampton has a great location overlooking a Marina. It doesn’t have free parking which cost us £16 for overnight. For a relatively expensive hotel breakfast isn’t included. Check in was confusing, I use Apple Pay which they take £100/room, but you can’t use that money to offset any invoice as they refund the deposit separately. Seemed to be a bit ridiculous as I haven’t had that issue before and I stay in a lot of hotels. We had dinner in the Jetty restaurant, food was good and we had excellent service from our waiter. The Spa is good, we used the treatment facilities, pool, gym and sauna .

Loved our room, colour palette, cushions, furniture & accessories. Very comfortable bed, with lots of nice touches, like the coffee Expresso Machine & fridge. Great bathroom, lots of room. And the view out the window over the dock & boats was brilliant, we had the view from the best side for us, as we were able to see our cruise liner; IONA dock into the Ocean terminal at 3.30am. Apart from waking up to see the ship arrive, we had a comfy nights sleep & so pleased you are so close to the terminal to embark on our cruise holiday. Fantastic location, with plenty of places to dine at.

Coming back in the evening our room key wouldn't work, so couldn't even get out the lift room onto our room corridor. Thankfully we made our way back down to reception to get it sorted. Some how storing the key card next to your mobile phone messes up the key card & stops it from working. However, didn't have a lot of choice, as only had a small, one compartment handbag & no one pre-warned me.

The journey and parking were easy enough, the room with a balcony gave great views of the harbour and the southampton sound. The hotel provided a set of binoculars to enable you to view the coast line and ewven the Isle of White, we were blessed with a lovely spring sunny day

Unfortunatly we had booked in for an afternoon tea, the table booking was complete but the member of staff taking the booking failed to recognise that this was for afternoon tea. We had a voucher given to us by our children, this was disapointing but the staff did all they could to sort things out and gave us a cream tea with some extra's on the house, with a promise that the voucher would be exrtended, we are still awiting the outcome of this.
