It was central to where we wanted to go . Very clean and warm

Just a little problem with breakfast ! Make sure you find out what time they start and finish breakfast . Different times on Saturday and Sunday

I did not like a cleaner knocking the door at 9am asking when we were leaving. Checkout was between 7am-11am, check in from 4pm so not alot of time in the hotel when you are being knocked on at 9am.

The location of the hotel is wonderful, it’s right on the road above the beach. North beach carpark is a 5 minute walk. The room we had was quite big but they do all vary in sizes (we had 4 rooms booked and all were different from each other but all adequate), they’re basic but you get what you pay for! Most importantly the rooms and bathroom were very clean. The barman, Martin, was delightful and very fun!

The bed was quite hard but wasn’t intolerable, the toiletries (shampoo and shower gel) were poor quality but we were only staying one night so it didn’t matter too much. The worst thing was the bingo, we got back to the hotel after dinner to refresh and walked through the lobby, we weren’t loud by any means, but one of our group exclaimed that the ‘entertainment’ we had been told about at check-in was in fact bingo and not live music like we thought, we were then rudely ‘shh’ed, I’m not sure if this was by the man calling the numbers or the group of pensioners sat playing. Either way, we were shocked by the rudeness of it, considering we were paying guests much like everyone else.

Off season, so it was a very good price - but I would have been happy without discount. Room was clean and comfortable - it was very quiet, but there were only a few guests. Tea, coffee, biscuits provided. Morning fry up was impressive- my second day I just had a toasted bacon sandwich to leave room for the rest of the day. Supermarket across the road for supplies. Short walk into town.

Nothing- I’d be happy to stay here again.

Location and the fact it had a singer

On floor 6 very steep steps after getting out of lift with a case can’t comment on food as didn’t have breakfast

check-in was straight forward and fast, no issues. rooms were clean and comfortable with amazing views, great location right on the beach front. The guy serving drinks at the bar was very friendly and bubbly made ordering a drink fun. They also had bingo and some entertainment in the evening but we didnt stay for this as we went out.

Excellent position. Very friendly staff, room was clean and bright. tea making facilities with lovely comfy bed. I did have a frosted window with no view in room 14 but that didn’t bother me we were out all day anyway. Lovely and warm hotel. The breakfast was excellent value great choice and the staff were really friendly and efficient super quick service. Definitely would book again.

The staff were all really friendly. Was offered to pick shampo and conditioner from baskets on reception desk when I arrived. Had a single room as was only staying a night for work. Bed really comfortable, room warm. There were lots of guests enjoying bingo and the evening entertainment. It reminded me of hotels when I was a kid.

The hotel was clean and tidy , all the staff were very friendly and helpful,very good breakfast we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back no parking but we managed to park just a short walk away !

There was a few places that let down the hotel but there are plans for lots of work on the hotel

Loverly clean room ,small but bathroom was large ,with great walk in shower .Every thing we need for 1 night stay ,was in back room overlooking someone's garden so had to keep thick curtains shut ,blind would have been better,the room was hot but cannot control weather but needed a fan 😉

Beautiful place dated but that's the history of the building.The reception was pleasant but no instructions of what facilities were available, ie breakfast or bar opening hours, very basic hand of keys and have a nice stay .
