Hotel signposted well. Grounds well maintained. Plenty of free parking, unlike its Celtic Collection competitors. Reception and lounge areas pleasant, calm, clean, and spacious. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Hotel generally had a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Room generally clean. Request for fan was granted, although fan was a little small. Gym and pool areas clean and well maintained. Aircon in the gym worked well. Sun terrace pleasant and well maintained. Price reflected the quality of the stay.

Black mould in one corner of my bathroom - receptionist apologised and noted my complaint). Room looked like it had been cleaned well but left unused for some time - as a result, there was some dust on some fittings, and dead insects in the window. Gym was a little small, resistance equipment was limited and appeared dated. Asked for some hard pillows, but hotel was unable to provide them. Wardrobes in the room were in good condition, though appeared dated. Rooms might benefit from an aircon upgrade in future.

I have visited a lot and it has been one of my favourite places for years. The staff are great and it’s clean and tidy and convenient location for a break away.

Trying to get in and out of the spa was a nightmare. It took us 15 minutes to finally see staff to ask them to open the door for us to leave. The food in the restaurant wasn’t great at all. We had stea, the rump and it was meant to be medium rare but it was over cooked and so chewy and the chips were like potatoes and had a horrible taste to them. Barely ate it and was so disappointed especially when you pay 75£ for two meals and two drinks and one starter after already paying to stay there and the bar is not cheap.

Upon arrival it’s very pleasant and lovely grounds. Nice spacious hotel lovely staff, although slightly dated everything was immaculate, it was so clean. I have never seen such clean crops Shower curtains, again I know dated but you can’t complain about them as looked brand new. Only thing I would say as a negative was the pillows they felt like they had bricks inside them … can’t have everything! Fantastic location of attending concerts in Cardiff 3 train stops from Cardiff … will be returning.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The food was really good. It's a very relaxing place in beautiful surroundings. The room was clean and well equipped. It did get very warm, but there was a fan, which was very useful. Would return.

The room was a little small as lots of furniture left little space. I did struggle having to climb into the bath for a shower as I have a disability. Luckily, my husband was able to help.. Next time, I would enquire if there were rooms with showers and no bath.

Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful, especially at breakfast when I needed gluten free food. I was asked if I would like a freshly prepared breakfast to avoid the cross contamination of the buffet, and the breakfast that arrived did not disappoint. Huge portion and delicious. My partner used the swimming pool and spa facilities and was happy with what he found everything was working. The room was comfortable with a hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities, ironing board, fan, iron and safe provided. Very clean room with toiletries in the bathroom.

The hotel is a little dated in its decor. Our room was very very warm even though we had turned the thermostat down and opened the window. We ended up sleeping with the fan on but this was even still very warm. The towels provided were a bit old, the edges had ripped and were a bit tatty, but still usable.

Excellent welcome by reception, the room was good and the evening meal and breakfast the next morning was first class.

Nothing really, just a couple of very minor things, the checkout was 10, personally I would prefer 11, which a lot of establishments are now doing. Breakfast finished at 09:30, as it was the weekend I would have preferred 10. Finally the Spa facilities are excellent, only small issue here is that you need a £1 coin to use a locker, it would be good if reception could mention this before you use the Spa facilities. These are only my suggestions and in no way reflect on our stay, we have stayed at the Parkway many times before, and will no doubt return several times more.

Staff were very welcoming. Room was spotlessly clean and there was a lovely atmosphere in the lounge area. Room was cosy and tastefully decorated, despite being a bit dated. Excellent value for money , bars meals were decently priced and enjoyable.

The room was so very warm. Heating was turned down fully but a fan was provided. Which helped, but not ideal. Breakfast ended at 9.30, check out at 10. And thought it was a rush in the morning, especially trying to fit in using the facilities aswell.

The standard rooms offer good size, beautiful seating against floor to ceiling window over garden. Room well kitted out with everything you'd need. Communal areas are welcoming, very clean and ample seating. Then you add in the spa and honestly it can't be beaten

Absolutely nothing. Stayed here probably about 6-7 times in last 12 years. Its consistently good. Never had a bad experience

No comp water in room on arrival (as advertised). Breakfast a bit … chaotic! No meet/greet on arrival, no orange juice on Sat am (the juices were only topped up at about 9.15!). Very few pastries left at 8.35 and again not topped up while we were there. No one asked if we were having continental or cooked breakfast.

Lovely friendly staff and the pool facilities were excellent. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and the staff were great, however, the staff were miserable in the morning and breakfast was just ok. The room was pleasant but the lack of air conditioning made it very difficult to sleep. They did provide a fan but it was still way too hot
