I had a room in a five bed apartment with shared kitchen. Each bedroom has a its own secure electronic key fob. Three or four out of the five rooms were occupied during my stay, the other occupants were fairly sporty, they left early in the morning to go to a local gym before going to work at the local hospital. My gym is only 300 metres away, the riverfront path passes right next to these apartments. There is an ASDA supermarket just across the road. The City's main bus station is one kilometer away, the railway station is a bit further. In short, the location is pretty good. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Reception will take in parcel deliveries for the residents and there is an efficient do-it-yourself laundry room

The room is a bit small for a long stay but I've had hotel rooms that were smaller. The room can be a bit warm when it is warm outside. Occasionally, outside noise can be a distraction.

I’ve stayed at Newport Student Village many times over the years now. It really cannot be matched on value for money. Each room at the accommodation has access to a shared kitchen, which can save travellers a lot of money on food bills. The location is also perfect: it’s situated in a peaceful and quiet area right next to a lake with a nice path to take evening strolls; it’s also very near to the town centre. The staff here working on reception are some of the most friendly and polite people I’ve ever come across - they really are a credit to Newport Student Village! Highly recommend this place. 5*

The price and location were perfect . Parking was payable in Asda carpark . It would be a 15-20 min walk from the train station . As it was essentially student type accommodation I was pleasantly surprised that you could access tea and coffee . Good catering facilities if you want to make/heat up a meal. Great for a group of friends wanting to stay together as six ensuite bedrooms to each lounge/kitchen area. I like Newport but it would be a good place to stay for one night if going into Cardiff too . The staff were extremely friendly and helpful

The shower whilst powerful soaked the tiny bathroom. The bed was adequate but not the comfiest. ~Ok for one night

Large comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen, huge wet room and constant hot water. Very quiet at night. Located in student village, there are 6 en suite rooms per flat with communal kitchen. Only used kitchen to get water, but was clean and spacious. Very helpful staff on the reception

Major issues on arrival with staff unable to find booking, key fob not working to access the flat or room, and then being unable to lock door when going out.

It was a very comfortable room. The shower was amazing. Parking was not available on site but very easy and cheap at Asda 2 minutes away. The staff at the front desk were really friendly and helpful too.

As there was building work going on, it was very noisy in the morning - I was woken up with a loud bang at 8:30 which was a little early after a late night

The ambience, security involved to access the building and the staff displayed satisfactory customer service.

Currently, I tend to travel by public transport (buses) more frequently. It took us 15 minutes to walk to the local bus station. When we got there, a sign showing that the customer service office was closed. The bus station personnel were not customer friendly when we enquired about the local bus that was due for our destination. Disappointed. It cost too much to be travelling with taxi in this cost of living period. You could have had a map, whether paper or digital so that visitors could have a lookaround. Similar to other venues like this.

Everything works and is clean. Good amount of space in the fridges for your food/drinks. There is an oven, microwave, toaster with a good amount of cookware etc.

The following really has no bearing at all on the property. I encountered about seven other people who shared the flat which I was in whilst stopping over, all bar two of them cleaned up after themselves to a brilliant standard, washed everything, wiped down work surfaces and put pans, pots etc. away. However two people who arrived together the day before I left, seemingly thought that it was ok to spend endless time in the kitchen area, leave dirty work surfaces and dirty pots and pans filling both sinks. It is not.

The room was large. Bed was comfortable. The kitchen facilities were clean and tidy. Reception were very helpful ie the room was hot on arrival. They sorted the thermostat and provided me with a fan. Liked the fact a supermarket was a 2 minute walk across the road. The bus station and city centre shops were 10 minutes walking distance.

There were two issues during my stay. Firsly the light above the bed was extremely bright. Would have preferred a light that could be dimmed. The second issue was the shower. On the final day of my stay the mixer tap only provide cold water.

Peace and Solitude after a busy journey adventure. Seeing that all student accommodation is equal internally for a good all round basis. Far from the maddening crowds. I was able to study a suspension bridge at close quarters.

Not being enrolled on an architectural engineering course years ago which may have changed my life and the day to day living of millions of people.

The accomodation is offered is that which serves as student accomdation during term times. The room I was given was very large and I can only assume that it was a double room. I would describe it as very functional. It had plenty of storage space and an abundance of sockets (a blessing in this day and ageThere was no television in the room but one was available in the kitchen which guests are able to make use of. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is about 10/15 minutes from Newport railway station with a flat and direct route there.

Nothing to complain about at all.
