Loved it. Incredibly clean apartment. The reality of the apartments matched the photos. So much bigger than I anticipated - felt like I had a cosy one-bedroom penthouse with lovely views. Really friendly staff. There were some issues with the lifts but I was assured that they're getting sorted. Bear in mind that the apartments are on the ninth floor of a high-rise building. Wonderfully located. Less than 500m away from the Newport Marathon startline which is what brought me to the city. Would book this place again if/when I return to the city.

Everything or I wouldn't keep coming back! Feels safe with keyfob plus 24hr reception. Love the quiet time 9pm to 7am, no worries about being disturbed by inconsiderate "neighbours ". Comfy, cosy, clean apartment. Superb staff no matter who is on shift, all brilliant and helpful whilst still being professional. Gorgeous view of the fantastic sunrise breaking through. Arrived in rare warm weather to find a mobile air-conditioning unit cooling the apartment- very thoughtful thank you.

Actually found a hiccup (only taken 7 stays to notice something) the hairdryer lead does not allow you to be able to comfortably stand in front of the mirror situated in the bedroom to be able to see how you are styling your hair.

It was a lovely flat, well equipped and easy to heat. View was lovely, if only the windows were cleaner. Very close to the center of town.

It's not the most inviting looking from the outside. Car park doesn't look very safe..... But it is. Didn't get fob for car park so had to call number... But gates were open with in minutes..... Just be careful when approaching entrance, I misjudged it and damaged my wheels. Car park costs, but you get a good discount with Quay apartments. £5 per 24hrs for a gated car park in city center is very good.

We chose a fully equipped apartment because we are athletes, so we never eat in unfamiliar places before the competition. It's a fully equipped, comfortable apartment, 5 minutes from the train station, with double windows so there was no noise.

Unfortunately, the windows cannot be opened, so it's very stuffy inside. There's a portable air conditioner in the living room that's very noisy, but we have to use it because it's unbearably hot without it. There's a fan in the bedroom, but we didn't use it much. The temperature is not consistent.

They are very lovely apartments in the centre of Newport: 10 minutes away from the train station and 5 minutes from bus and National Express coach station. You can easily reach Cardiff ( 15 Minutes) and Bristol ( 30 minutes) by train. Our apartment was on the 9th floor and it comes with all the comforts: Kitchen including all appliances,dish washer,toaster,plates, cooking stuff, coffee machine,...; living room with sofa; coffee table, flat tv; bedroom with double bed; wardrobe; bathroom with huge shower;... The staff in reception was very welcoming: they borrowed us some sugar and kept our luggage after the checkout and with no extra cost. Overall this was a very nice stay - Highly recommended

A great location, 10 mins walk away from the center. The modern design and facilities including a coffee machine and large smart TV. We were on the 9th floor and we had a peaceful sleep due to no traffic noise. Great view of the city and the river. The staff were really helpful and friendly, provided us with extra coffee pods.

We weren’t able to open the windows, and because of the weather, the condensation blocked the view. The sofa wasn’t very comfortable. The kitchen could do with extra lighting, maybe under the cabinets as it was a bit dark.

Reception with a receptionist

Carpark: not very well lit, no access from apartments to carpark. Receptionist opened shutter for us to park but then failed to reopen for us to walk / come out. Hence we left there waiting - we rang the number on a noticeboard in the carpark and were let out. Not ideal. Plus, it wasn’t made clear by the receptionist as to were we could park and how long we could stay for - we asked but she didn’t understand the question and was unable to answer. The receptionist in the morning was more helpful.

The hotel is situated close to the center of Newport just at the bottom of the bridge. Nice kitchen with, oven microwave, fridge, nice furniture and good view of Newport. It is well kept flat, clean and tidy. The manager was very polite and understanding..

The receptionist changes shift, I wanted to leave my bag behind the counter in the morning after checking out and had this accepted by the nightshift and the morning shift had to accept it with the manager. It was not a big problem as all people were helpful and allowed me to leave my bag for 3 hours.

The apartment was lovely, clean and tidy. All repaired amenities were present including crockeries, cutleries, towels and ironing facilities. The rooms were off good size and the beds were comfortable to sleep in. The staff in reception were also pleasant to talk to and always present. My family and I enjoyed our stay and will do so again next time should the opportunity arise.

A minor niggle however, I wish there was a way to enter the building/apartment from the parking lot instead of walking out of the parking lot and to the apartment, especially during cold winters. Apart from that, nothing else.

The building looks a bit tired from outside but once inside and in the appartment there is everything you need. It was clean the beds were very comfortable and felt like good quality the same with the bedding. My pillow was a bit too firm for my liking but that's just me. For the money I can't fault the place. Staff were friendly and helpful if need be I would stay there again
