Car park payment Time limit on pool use

The concierge team were always extremely helpful and were able to guide us in terms of moving around the resort and any questions we might have had. The restaurants incl. Steak on Six, Pad and Rafters provided great menu choices and high quality food.

Check in times are too long and they need more staff on reception during heavy check in times. The bar area which serves lunches is a consistently weak area. Service is far too slow and food quality is not good. I am a regular visitor to this hotel and shave seen limited improvement over the past 3 years. This is not of the standard for a 5 Star hotel.

Breakfast was top class. Amazing choice. Area was very pleasant. Staff friendly and professional. Clean.

Disappointed at the parking charge; where else were we supposed to park? Signage could have been better. disappointed as our table had peeling varnish. She was friendly and nice but almost took my husband’s dessert before he’d finished; she did apologise. Silly problem with the card payment that make me feel embarrassed as a member of staff having to come and explain to me which left me feeling disappointed. This is a shame as the meal and drinks were lovely. Would have liked more choice with desserts. The rhubarb hardly tasted of anything. Signs so we could walk back especially by the main building; felt like we were trespassing having to walk on the grass. Such a shame as it was a lovely place but probably won’t go back. Also busy with events and expensive at the bars.

We liked the room, pool, restaurant and the hotel and the ambience. The underground carpark was good because it was raining when we arrived.

There wasn't a welcome pack in our room as you had to take a picture of the barcode on the dressing table to download the Celtic Manor app (which wasn't very easy to navigate just to find out basic information) The car park was £20 per night which we haven't had to pay at other hotels and could have been added into the cost price as it is just another hidden extra. The signage wasn't very good in some places; the changing room doors were locked on the inside and you had to press a button at the side to release the door which confused a lot of people as I observed them trying to find a way to get out.

Everything was amazing will definitely return..only problem was the company we booked through..we asked if we could change it due to certain circumstances and we paid the insurance for cancellations..but unfortunately they would not changed the booking and therefore we arrived to late in the evening to get the full experience .. ect booking a meal and using the full spa .. never will we book through them . But the hotel was amazing thank you Celtic manor for our stay .

Staff were very friendly, we stayed in a signature room which had plenty of space and had breakfast in Steak on Six as part of the deal. We were told this was a fine dining experience, which was a bit of an exaggeration as the Olive Tree had more selection, I guess it was quieter upstairs, though. Talking of quiet, do not think you are going any lying on a lounger by the pool! This area is noisy. Steam Room and Sauna were clean, and there was a plunge pool.

I'm not sure what this hotel wants to be. It used to be an upper-class hotel where you would go with friends or partners for rest and a quiet space. Now it is a family hotel and to be honest family's with a fair amount of money as activities for the younger people are extras. So maybe that's where it sits, a family hotel for well-off people. It's not a romantic getaway. Guess it's working for them.

- the spa facilities using the sauna, jazzuii, and swimming pool. - Relaxing weekend, enjoyment, and spending good quality time with my husband. Breakfast was so delicious, nice variety of choice My husband liked using the gym facilities A couple of massage treatments were nice and romantic - staff members were really nice, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel is very clean and tidy. - the view is lovely to see There's lovely food restaurants near the hotel.

The massage was only 50 minutes it should have been at least 1 hour long. Also, the massage treatment was too expensive. - the hotel is too expensive . I didn't like the idea that there was a time limit using the spa facilities. - you have to pay money for the car parking. The location of the hotel is too far it should be a bit nearer. - getting to the hotel was hard it was very steep and hilly.

The hotel was nice enough, basic but you had everything you needed to hand. The spa was not open at the main resort however there was a shuttle service to the other site so that we could use their facitilites.

I didn't like that they would not allow for 3 adults to get a room even though some of the rooms were large enough, felt like a money making exercise, especially dring the graduation season. Also I thought that the grill restaurant, again at their sister hotel is absolutely awful, service was poor and food basic with no seasoning. I think research needs to be done in regard to what food produced in southern america should look and taste like before placing it on your menu.

Staff were fantastic Aga- a huge thanks to Aga at the Olive Tree she found my grandmothers walking stick and brought great relief to my her. Aga went above and beyond to support us. Richard- concierge I cannot thank you enough…. I had a very distressing experience of having got lost and ending up one of the golf courses with very little reception. Richard was amazing and managed to make arrangements for the security team to come and look for me. It took over an hour for them to locate me but Richard remained in touch with me and spoke with me when he was able to gain connection. I will never forget his patience and gratitude to me at such an anxiety provoking time. Many thanks to you Richard and the security team at the Celtic Manor.

Loads to do at the property, activities, spa, loads of restaurants to try even a shop. It was full of facilities and choices. Staff are lovely and very helpful. The choice of restaurants are endless with beautiful food. The spa was lovely with a nice big pool and a treatment room with loads of choices

The booking treatments online didn’t work for us, we had to ring up and book, I also filled a form in to get help with the booking and no one got back to us. We did not have robes in the room, but the lovely Spa staff gave us robes. Parking is expensive especially when you’re paying so much for the room and facilities already.
