Amazing find! Exceeded our expectations and was so cosy, thay we stayed in the bar/restaurant area all evening. Great location, fantastic room and excellent staff. The Dinner was amazing and is a must try. We were in a food coma afterwards and it was very much worth it. I don't usually get starters but I got a simple bread starter and it was an excellent choice. Couldn't say more about the quality of food. Amazingly cosy and I had a wonderful bath before bed, the bathroom was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the mattress was just right. Decor was fabulous! It was a shame that the breakfast was continental only but it was still good and the staff were wonderful. Really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!

Idyllic location, very peaceful, beautiful scenery beside the River Usk. Ample parking. Although forewarned of the non-availability of a traditional cooked breakfast, I consider the cost of the accommodation warranted more than the continental offering. Excellent TV choice and wi-fi. Comfortable bed.

Very pleasant room, however there just wasn't a surface to place luggage on. Over provision of pillows, cushions, etc., merely compounded the problem! I found the piped music really distracting and certainly not to my taste.

Loved the location, loved the restaurant on Saturday. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms and facilities were all nice and clean.

The Sunday menu at the restaurant was a little disappointing compared to the rest of the week. The room has no windows at all. Just the door which we obviously couldn't keep open. The only way to ventilate at all was using the provided air purifier, but in such a lovely location with such fresh air outside, we would have really preferred to keep windows open.

I surprised my partner by booking a night away here for his birthday. We stayed in the Dashing Dace room, which was beautiful. The room itself and the bathroom were very clean, we loved the decor, plus we had a bit of a view of the country from our room. I had a great sleep as the bed was so comfortable! Loved the big deep bath and having a boiling hot shower in the morning to set me up for the day. Of course, having the white robes and fluffy towels is always a nice touch.

No major issues, just a couple of things we noticed- Disappointed, there wasn't a fridge in the room, especially to keep the water that is complimentary cold. We went to have a drink in the restaurant but we waited quite a long time so we went back to the room. The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't realise when I booked that it was continental (my fault as I should have read it properly). I also think the price of the continental breakfast is very steep for what it is. I've never been a fan of a continental breakfast. That's just my personal opinion

The Inn is in a beautiful setting right on the river Usk, and is divided between the pub with a restaurant, and a small separate building with well equipped rooms tastefully decorated. The Inn has an excellent Chef who provides interesting A la Carte and Set menus with different choices. The dishes are expertly prepared and even the side dishes are excellent using Welsh country vegetables. Allison runs the location and provides all the customer care you would expect. Her young assistants were efficient and showed genuine interest in the meeting diners' needs.

Leaving. Seriously this is a class set up without any pompousness it would be unwise and unfair to nitpick.

The restaurant was amazing, the staff were very friendly and gave us good recommendations for places to visit. The area around the hotel was stunning and there were plenty of things to do within a reasonable drive.

The room, while nice, would get stuffy quite quickly with 2 people and we had to open both windows to improve the air quality. Nothing too bad about that, but keeping windows open on the ground floor with no obvious way to secure them felt a bit strange.

The breakfast was fresh, good choice of cold food. A choice of hot food would be nice.

A lack of atmosphere, yes it is a quiet countryside hotel. Maybe some music. The stairway to our room had a bad rainwater leak to the skylight on the stairs. If someone slips on that !!. The balcony requires a good clean and some rufurbishment work. Toilet pan is not secure when sitting on.

The peace and quiet, the fact that there weren't crowds of people and the excellent food. We felt comfortable and relaxed while we were staying there and the facilities in our room were very good on the whole.

The tea and coffee making facilities were on a trolley which unfortunately was nowhere near a plug socket so we had to manoeuvre it around, or take the coffee machine/kettle to the other side of the room to get a hot drink. That was our only slight snag and we managed to live with it!

Superb location, so quiet and besutiful on a bend in tbe River, by a picturesque bridge. We had cocktails on the terrace by the river in the sun - sublime! The staff were outstanding, very friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great time. Guest rooms are very special, beautifully decorated and furnished. Great attention to detail and the Dyson hairdryer was typical of the high-end details. We were even brought a bottle of real milk in an insulated ice bucket, no long-life milk for them! Dinner was outstanding, and extremely good value considering the amazing surroundings. Breakfast was a continental buffet but superb with freshly made bread and lovely fresh croissants, cold meats, etc.

Nice breakfast room ... liked the smoked salmon, but scrambled egg would have been appreciated.

We realise that they are delivering a 'continental' style breakfast so as not to involve staff cooking... but we would prefer a cooked element, such as scrambled egg. Sliced bread for toasting was mediocre; more different cereals would be appreciated.
