The staff were amazing going above and beyond. Broken fan.... changed without quibble. More towels no problem. This also carried through to the restaurant where the coffee machine broken wasn't a problem getting hot choc and lattes for our breakfast.

The bed was hard so it was a shock but I slept well. Not so much for my hubby. The room on the second floor was compact but fine for us both. The only problem was the heat. Even with the fan we felt too hot and uncomfortable. This will be the only reason we can't return when the temperature outside is more than 20 degrees.

We have used this hotel on more than one occasion. It is in an excellent location for our needs with ample private (free) off road parking. It is the only hotel in this area that allows dogs. We still chose it on this occasion despite not having our pooch with us as it is such good value for money. The rooms are more than adequate. Only things that would improve it would be if the windows could open wide (but understand this is a security issue) as the rooms can get quite warm despite the provided fan (definitely helps) and the use of an iron (didn't ask at reception so can't say if one would have been made available). The breakfast was freshly cooked and again great value for money. We only ate a main meal once and it was tasty pub grub, no complaints. We will continue to use this hotel whenever in the area.

Easy to find once leaving the motorway. Plenty of parking spaces available. Our room was on the ground floor, light, spacious and very clean. We were checked in by a very pleasant gentleman who was welcoming and explained all we needed to know.

Only slight issue was the noise of something like a generator nearby. The type of sound that perhaps air an con motor makes, though there was no AC. The gentleman from reception came to listen but had no idea what the noise was, nor where it came from. We were offered a different room immediately. I would stay here again.

The New Inn Greene King is an incredibly friendly venue. Every staff member than we had an interaction with was courteous and helpful. I cannot fault their customer service. The hotel and restaurant itself has I think been well used as you can see through the decor and furnishings. But for the money it is good value for the money. We had a disabled room which had a wet room, including shower seat and grab rails for shower and toilet. The room is wheelchair accessible and has a low level bed for ease of access. Although the reception's main door has a step there are several accessible entrances that are available. The restaurant provides a reasonable menu and there is a choice of vegetarian and vegan breakfast. Pricing is reasonable and like the hotel staff, restaurant staff were all incredibly welcoming and helpful.

Not a negative as such - but the shower is definitely a "power" shower. I had quite the shock when I went under it and it had a mind of it's own. But we had a good laugh about it afterwards.

Comfortable, good sized room. Good wi-fi. Easy access to major roads into Cardiff and Bristol, close and convenient enough to those cities yet quiet and secluded. Restaurant with good food and reasonable prices

The server in the restaurant at breakfast was rather abrupt. "It's not free, you know. Breakfast is not included". We WERE aware of this, but we also wanted to eat before leaving. Like in any restaurant, we were willing to pay for it. There are nicer ways to speak to customers.

We were very impressed by both the standard of cleanliness and the comfort oft the room. The only very slight surprise was the considerable firmness of the mattress which being the firmest we have ever encountered in dozens of hotels was a little bit more than my wife finds comfortable and yet I found it to my taste and slept very well although despite all this she did manage a good nights sleep.. However, we appreciate you can't please everyone and it most definitely wouldn't make is even hesitate to stay there again.. We were both very happy with our stay there albeit somewhat short.

Most of everything I liked the staff! What a lovely bunch of people, always there to take care of you! I contacted them when I booked as I have mobility issues and I got a room that was absolutely perfect for my needs. A good clean room and polite and friendly staff is what made my stay a good one! Parking was available at all times, a small convenient store is located at the next building and it is just 7 minutes drive to the ICC.

The fire alarm waking me up very early one morning - not the property's fault and YAY we were safe. But who ever smoked in their room - shame on you! The place is a bit dated.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to help. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a decent price and food at the hungry hippo part of the place was tastey and good selection and reasonable prices. Parking easy and easy to find and great location not far from motorway.

The hot water was not very hot but adequate so only negative thing to comment on. The room didn't have decaffeinated tea or coffee in it on arrival but staff sought some out.

Very friendly staff. Clearly recently redecorated - nice, stylish carpet throughout. Smartly decorated bedroom and bathroom. Great location for the ICC.

The outside of the building looks like a primary school from the 1970's, Sadly it's also next to a Wacky Warehouse and Hungry Horse. I was dropped on - not what I was expecting at all! However, the ladies serving breakfast were very friendly and accommodating - it's just not the setting I was expecting.

Convenient location, not far off M4. Huge car park. Friendly reception staff. Comfortable room, warm and very clean. Radiator that I could control temperature in the room. Bath with shower over that I did struggle a little bit on how to use the shower. Big head and small shampoo head that didn't work well. Big television screen on wall in front of bed. Bed was a little hard for me but I slept OK, nice and quiet. Was good to be able to have food or a drink in Hungry horse attached. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Lovely staff everywhere. Good service. I will definitely stay again. Recommended.

Not clear instructions on how to order breakfast on 1st day. No one around in bar/restaurant. 2nd day, Everything had been cleared away when I went for breakfast at 8:30.But I was told breakfast was 7am to 9am.I did get breakfast but continental choices were gone. Sausage a little undercooked and fried egg undercooked, a runny white.
