Very pretty town and the Beaufort is well situated and a very friendly welcome from the young chap who lives there (sorry I can't remember his name - he pulls a fantastic pint!) Bar is welcoming and sport available to watch on request. Our room was comfortable and a large fan most welcome with the heat!
Could do with a warning about the hot tap water temperature, narrowly avoided burning myself when running a bath. Just a personal gripe but, whilst breakfast tables were spotless, the cleaning products have built up to create a tacky/sticky surface that glued everything to it. Also fruit juices very unappetising although breakfast was otherwise excellent.

Excellent location, close to the castle and riverside and shops, bars, and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Ricky was a great host, with lots of banter. Breakfast very good, particularly the poached eggs. All cooked fresh to order. Room was comfortable and clean. The on site bar good atmosphere.
Our room faced the square and it was noisy at night. I think this was partly down to the acoustics with sound amplified and echoing off the buildings. Suggest earplugs. The bathroom a little tired.

It is a very nice cozy hotel, 5 minutes walking from the bus or train station. The breakfast was very nice and enough for almost the rest of the day. It was a kettle in the room with tea and coffee, which was very attentive. The staff is very nice, helpful, they look after us very well, special thanks to Caroline for it. We had a great time there. I definitely would choose again this hotel for my stay.
The floor creaks, you hear every step above your head, but that's because the house is very old, it doesn't take anything away from the enjoyment of being there.

This was my first holiday with my 2 young children the room was lovely and the staff were amazing and helpful they went above and beyond even keeping my children entertained so I could eat some breakfast. everyone we met were so kind and helpful even helping me with all our bags when I was carrying my youngest up and down the stairs.
Unfortunately there was an incident with the proprietor when we popped back in to get the buggy after having dinner out, I was trying to put my 1 year old daughter in the buggy which she wasn't happy about and it resulted in the proprietor coming over being very rude to us because she was crying I was trying my best to calm her but his comments upset me alot and it made me very anxious when we returned to go back to the room.

All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent, particularly what I presume was locally sourced bacon. Good choices on breakfast menu e.g eggs benedict as an alternative to full english. Earl Grey tea available which surprisingly is still not always the case on my travels!
I realise nothing can be done but shower cubicle was tiny! I'm a very slim chap but it was still a real squeeze, how anyone with a fuller frame copes I can't imagine. But that is a minor gripe and it was fine for a short stay

Room was outside the hotel at the end of the car park but had everything, almost, that I could want. breakfast was very good and they were well versed in catering for gluten free guests. Perfectly sited in the centre of Chepstow and only a 5 minute walk from the castle or Drill Hall
No WiFi in Room 12 which was a pain. Manager said it was the only room that didn't receive coverage. Wasn't really an issue once I worked out I could pair the internet to my phone

Great central location in Chepstow, some free parking too, room was spacious, comfortable and clean.
When people don’t park in middle of bays it makes parking tough, online it was hard to find about food situation, we arrived on a Sunday but not mention online about roasts, we would have booked one if we had known. Also no one asked about breakfast too. Only info was chalk board signs in the front street so if you arrive thru the rear car park you won’t see them. Shower could do with an upgrade.

The old building is steeped in history. It was lovely to see a lot of old and original features in the architecture. The nostalgia in pictures was so lovely to see on the walls. Our room was relatively clean and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was very clean. In the room had all the basics we needed. We loved how helpful and friendly the staff were for us. We travelled with our 3yr old daughter and she was treated like a princess. All the staff waved and smiled and said hello to her every day. We honestly felt so welcome.
I feel it needs a little TLC in some areas however it’s an old building and the staff work extremely hard to make it work as well as it does!

Lovely old pub hotel, it's not high end so Don't expect that, especially given the amazing price. It's large, the rooms are adequate and clean for the age of the building. In the room is a toilet, shower, sink, kettle, ironing board, iron, hairdryer and tv. Very very soft comfy bed (some people prefer a firm mattress so worth mentioning) Great pub but not too loud , serving a good selection of breakfast including full English and cereals. I've stayed here before and it's my preferred hotel in the area.
Slightly squeaky floor, I could hear next door snoring 😂

Really great central location with small carpark to the rear Staff were professional, friendly and really attentive, they work really hard, especially at breakfast. Liz was incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Vegans and vegetarians are well catered for.. Extremely doggy friendy
Our room was on the front and directly above the outdoor seating & the evening crowd sounded quite loud, along with the general bussle of daily life..... Oh & the seagulls, they were 'very' loud! 😏 Our main concern was that whilst we enjoyed good weather during our stay, our room was incredibly warm, though a fan had been put in the room.
