Nice location in the countrside surrounded by the well kept gold course. Busy without being noisy. The room was comfortable and quiet. It was goof to be able to use the pool and spa as part of the stay. This was in quite good condition. It was nice to sit in the garden in the mornnig and listed to the bords singing on the woods.

The room was nowhere near the attractive old part of the accommodation shown in the picures. If was one bedroom in a small house containing three bedrooms down a lane that looked like any recent suburban development. The room was then quite bright at night as the streetlight from the road shone straight down the corridor into the bedroom. A generous 2 bicusits were supplied for the three days as that's the default for the suburban flats to be serviced.

This is a gorgeous hotel surrounded by a beautiful golf course. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the buffet breakfast was excellent.

No air conditioning in the rooms. Our stay coincided with a heatwave and the stifling conditions made for a very uncomfortable couple of nights with barely any sleep. This wasn’t helped by the fact that the windows only open a couple of inches although I’m sure there is a logical explanation for this. It’s also worth noting that there are no lifts and many little steps so not really suitable for people with mobility issues.

It was a glorious setting. A beautiful hotel and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice. The pool was lovely and facilities clean.

Our room was very hot. We had two fans but really the hotel need air conditioning installed. The hotel was a bit tired in places and some areas lacked attention. There were a few issues with service in the restaurant, the staff apologised and explained that there were a couple of big parties in to dine, but that should not affect service to other patrons. There are no lifts.

Staff were exceptional, especially Julie who seated us at breakfast. Smiling & welcoming with a good sense of humour. Breakfast choice was excellent including having my favourite yogurts & Phil said the bacon & sausages were cooked beautifully. Steak for dinner last night was the best we've had for a while - cooked just as ordered. Room was clean and the bedding was lovely & crisp. View over the 18th with a lovely big window was very much appreciated.

Lovely hotel and grounds, plenty of space to relax or exercise depending on your preference. Very spacious and comfy double room with large armchair and sufficient storage to feel at home. Really enjoyed the choice and quality of food for breakfast (Gemma was really helpful and attentive to our large group).

The pillows were too flat. I did ask for more which were provided very quickly but still didn’t create the comfort that I would have liked. The shower screen was slightly annoying as it doesn’t open very far so difficult to reach the taps. This isn’t very practical for someone with children getting them into the bath. For most people I’m sure this wouldn’t be an issue.

Lovely location and obviously on a very good golf course. Rooms were lovely and had all the facilities you would expect. Staff were brilliant and breakfast was superb. Eveything available to you including fruit, pastries, cooked full english, sweet, savioury. All as a buffet but no food left out for long periods of time so it was all fresh.

The only thing was that the pool and steam rooms etc were a long way away from our room. Nothing wrong with that, but at the end of a long journey to get there, it was just a hassle to take all our stuff across the large expanse of the resort to get to the pool. It was us being lazy I accept, but you did ask!!

Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Luxurious retreat yet so well connected. Welcoming and helpful staff.

Awful WiFi. I pay for a hotel room and expect strong free WiFi. Being asked to pay for it or subscribe is mean. Restaurant is a lovely venue and service was warm and friendly. But the meal was bad - dry reheated dish. When I’m tired after a long day I just want to eat a meal and get to bed. So I didn’t complain. But I hope this was a one off error and there will be better quality control in the kitchen next time. Little things but wifi offer and food let down an otherwise outstanding hotel.

Room was spacious and nice ground floor view. Breakfast was plentiful, with restaurant space. Dinner was in the bar area sat outside in the sun. Cocktails were great! Pool was a good size for a spa and changing rooms were spacious and clean, as were the showers.

The pillows were not very comfortable, they flattened and therefore felt hard. The ground floor view was lovely but without any nets or adjustable blinds we had to close the curtains for any privacy when getting ready but the lighting was low which made it less easy to apply make-up etc until fully dressed.

The hotel was beautiful the staff all were amazing, polite friendly and made the stay for us. We were given a complimentary upgrade which we did decline as we specifically booked a lake view room and the upgraded although bigger and more near facilities there was no view. Food was excellent the steak was the best I have had in a long time. The pool was lovely. As it was our anniversary we were given a lovely hand written message and also 2 complimentary drinks and some chocolate, which was really a lovely gesture. The front welcome staff were amazing.

The pool is a little walk from changing room for females and to enter you have to go up a few stairs.

The staff were exceptional and most went above and beyond. Especially the maître d at breakfast, who was super impressive helping us get items we needed and organising our breakfast in room for our second day. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and made you feel very festive. The bar was well staffed, food was good if a bit pricey and the pool/gym areas were really welcoming and nice. Our room had a lovely little patio overlooking the golf course and we were fortunate enough that the weather was nice to be able to use it with your coat on!

Breakfast was like a Motorway cafe, very busy, few staff clearing tables, food running out with staff desperately trying to get it refilled. However if you asked, staff quickly found what you wanted and brought it to you at your table if it was going to take a bit longer. No tea pots. On a positive, the hot food was in quantities that didn't get cold and unappealing, so was being replenished frequently and therefore remained hot and as fresh as can be in those situations. Beware, we decided to have breakfast in our room the second morning and were told by reception that you had to pay full price, even if you had paid for a bed and breakfast rate. We complained and we didn't get charged.
