Room met expectations - access to first floor room not good for elderly guests. Breakfast was very good however dinner for four was very disappointing and spoilt the whole adventure. Three roast dinners , two chicken and one beef and one "Hunters chicken" The beef was by far the worst meat presented. The two chicken breast dinners could have been carboard whilst the veg. carrots, parsnips, etc., were excellent. The "chips" served with the Hunters Chicken were also excellent. I advised the person when I paid the account but was surprised that no comment apart from "Sorry about that..........."

Used the venue again as its close to visit family /friends. Im very familiar with Two Rivers venue from my time living about 4 miles away before moving in 2017.

Couple of minor items- The shower didnt get to (near) max heat for afternoon use. Water temp stayed about lukewarm. Explained this to staff member to did take a lokk and tried to adjust. Result was slight improvement in water temp. WHB water temp remained good. Other item but not reported- the g/ floor lobby door to enter/ exit the corridor and room. Lobby door had a working closure arm, but was heard late evening/ early hours. For light sleepers not helpful. My room was next to the lobby door/ reception. Overall I remain pleased with the venue facilities and the food was very good. Keep up the good efforts Two Rivers staff. 😊😊

A group of family friends joined us in the bar area and your staff were extremely friendly and helpful in accommodating us as best as possible and the general service was excellent. A large bedroom suitable for the disabled was designated. Although we did not need these extra facilities we were impressed by them. See ‘what didn’t you like’ box for an extra comment regarding the disabled facilities. We did not dine at all on this occasion and cannot comment.

The bathroom light switch was OUTSIDE the bathroom door but hidden by that door as it opens out into the room area. On arrival, with hands full of cases and key card not yet put in for lighting, we entered the bathroom in semi-darkness, pulling what we thought was the light cord. However, it was an emergency cord! A little embarrassing to us but there was a very speedy response by the manager and staff. Most impressive..

Very clean and comfortable. Conveniently situated. Plenty of parking.

They hadn't received notification that we needed a twin room. This was changed ASAP, but they also had not received my email via Booking.com that we did not need the accessible room. It was the only twin room left, so I booked it. Had they known they could have allocated a more convenient room a couple of days earlier. Breakfast at weekends is 8am and the doors are locked until then. We waited in drizzle and decided not to bother.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Owen, the staff member who checked us in, was very friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect for our one night stay, and the bed was so comfortable we nearly overslept! Having a bath was a bonus, as was having a newer TV with the apps (Netflix, Disney+ etc.). It was spotelessley clean, too, and I appreciated that they encourage recycling. There is plenty of parking and, if you don't mind hills, it's only a 15 min walk into Chepstow town centre.

Would have been nice to have separate shampoo/conditioner and shower gel rather than a 2-in-1.

Comfortable bed, quiet at night so slept well. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice of items and well cooked. Plenty of free parking. Good location - no noise from the nearby main road. Staff friendly especially the maids.

Check in is at the restaurant/bar and was slow as the waitress was busy serving tables. Not ideal after a long journey. Standard room is very compact. The food other than breakfast was poor value for money and very small portions.

Visited for a one night stay, hotel room was clean, modern and well presented. Had everything you’d need; towels, hairdryer, shampoo & conditioner, tea & coffee station, large tv. Decided to grab breakfast the next day, service was brilliant, Kelly was so welcoming and was amazing with all customers, the girl on bar/running food was also brilliant, didn’t catch her name though. Food was lovely, warm, and came quickly. The atmosphere was chill and quiet as it was morning which made it more pleasant to start the day. Will definitely return soon!

Hotel rooms are in a separate block across the car park from the pub so no noise from the restaurant and is on a very busy road but we didn’t hear any traffic noise at all so we had a great night’s sleep. Room was clean with a good layout and bed was very comfortable. You can open the window which you can’t always do in hotel rooms. Decent shower over the bath with plenty of hot water. Good size car park so plenty of parking spaces. We didn’t have breakfast at the pub but we had our evening meal there and chose the midweek two courses for £16.75 meal option and the food was very good. Check out is not till 11am which is really good and is quick and easy, you just simply drop your key card into a box as you leave the building

Have no complaints about our stay

Well situated good parking very clean. One or two things need attention.

Needs bath towels changing more frequently. Also milk and tea bags need topping up. We were into our 2 day going into the 3rd we had to ask staff to replace towels and toilet paper. Which was done straight away by the girl in charge whom was very nice. Would not stop me from going back it’s a lovely place and pub.

The accommodation has been upgraded and is much better than when we have stayed previously. The member of staff on duty was very welcoming and all paperwork was ready so check-in was very smooth. Lots of car parking so no worries about finding a space. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment.

No lift available. Only one keycard provided which makes it difficult as a card is needed for the power when one person wants to go out as you need the card to get back into the building. Perhaps two keycards could be standard practice if there are two guests?
