The room was nice, clean and welcoming, the bed was really comfortable allowing for a good night's sleep, tea and coffee facilities are provided, ideal for a little break away. Food was nice in the pub and if you opted in for breakfast you get a small buffet lay out of pastries, cereals, fruit, Greek yogurt, and juices and also get something to choose from the breakfast menu. Would I stay here again, yes..!!

Only thing I would say I didn't like was the shower was on the small side and the electric shower unit couldn't regulate temperature well but was ok to jump in and out off but the room and ensuit is well kept.

Our room (overlooking little garden) was quiet. Rooms are in a building away from the restaurant and bar yet still easy access+good parking. Super comfy bed was a bonus. Staff were lovely and friendly (apart from one female who greeted us when we arrived(not smiley like the other staff!) Lovely cooked breakfasts+good choices

Other pub users took up designated parking spaces for the hotel guests at times. Price of drinks quite high especially the wines. Shower a little erratic with temperature and flow of water

I have been staying at the Rose and Crown for a number of years when on business in the Plymouth area and would highly recommend to stay either for work or on holiday. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful, in particular Sarah Jane, who has been there for a number of years is always very customer focused as well as having a good knowledge of the local area, she is always available to help you with and advise on places to visit especially for those on holiday. Rooms are always to a high standard and kept very clean.

Pure bespoke boutique luxury. A lovely surprise in a quaint little village. The meals were restaurant quality served in pleasant surroundings, with delightful staff. My pet hate is being served nice wine in a thick ugly cheap glass - not here, fine beautiful glassware - Perfect stay

Probably the only small dislike was the tiny coffin sized shower, but this is such a small issue compared to the whole package. Highly recommend this little gem.

We stayed the night before travelling to Tintagel castle in the morning. The staff was very welcoming. They also managed to find us a table to enjoy dinner that night despite being full. Room was nice and cozy, bed was confortable and we had a great night of sleep. The bathroom, on the other hand, felt too small and cheap in comparison. Breakfast in the morning was simple, but good enough to start the day. Overall was a good stay, but I'd have expected a little bit more for the price.

We had a few issues with the wifi. It was a bit inconsistent during the evening. However, we had issues with internet in every place we stayed during our 4 day trip across Devon, so we assume the internet is not very reliable in the area.

Excellent service. Facilitated our request for an early check in without question and at no extra charge. Really appreciated this as we were going to a wedding nearby. Fabulous breakfast! Highly rated. All of the rooms and the pub itself are beautifully and tastefully decorated. Love the walled garden at the back too.

The hot water pump in the bedroom is a bit noisy (we could hear the upstairs one too) but it did not affect our stay one bit.

The welcome, the food, the room, the comfortable bed, the amazing breakfast and the price. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be recommending to friends and family. I will be back. The restaurant/pub was busy but the wait for food was quick. Staff were lovely and so was the manager.Honestly, such a lovely surprise, wasn't expecting such a wonderful stay

The fact that we hadn't booked for 2 nights

Lovely large clean room with ensuite bathroom and everything finished to high standard. Private garden area was lovely feature as well as two pub gardens and outside tables etc. Evening meals and breakfasts were first class. All staff very friendly and helpful. Well definitely be looking to stay again in future when we're in the area. A lovely little find on Booking.com!

Nothing bad to report

The location was perfect, great food on Friday night in the pub, lovely room and fabulous breakfast

In our room we could hear a constant alarm beeping , it went on all night through to the next day. It wasn't in our room but from somewhere nearby in one of the other unused rooms and quite loud. We feel this may need checking out as considering the location everywhere else was beautifully quiet, the constant alarm was incredibly annoying.

Comfortable bed, everything you could want or need in the room. Quiet bedrooms so good nights sleep. Nice breakfast. Happy, friendly staff. Great value for money and far superior to chain hotels. Would recommend.

Only thing I could note:Valance for bottom of bed would make a huge difference to the aesthetic of the room as the base is unsightly. Didn’t affect the quality of sleep though.
