Staff where really helpful and nice people. It was a really clean facility. The kitchen was small but homely and fine for food preparation. The price was really good for Anchorage, location a little further out from city centre but that is why the price was better. The area to some might seem concerning, but I did not feel that concerned, my friend and I felt that management and staff were very committed and diligent in keeping people safe but also providing advice regarding your safety. The room we had twice (we stayed) was a bit loud with the traffic as close to main road. But overall I would recommend Ingra House. The people managing are good people, it was clean and comfortable. Communal kitchen and clean bathrooms.

One of the staff members seemed be unfriendly. Never said hello and was always on their phone. Rooms could benefit from some ventilation as even in the winter, the room became hot and stuffy really quick. There must be some trust issues with the guests as it seemed like there were an excessive amount of cameras on the premises.

Location was good for me as it was very close to the Enterprise Car Rental that I was picking up the next day. It was a little bit of a walk, but I could walk to main Downtown area and back. The room was good for the price. Shared bathrooms were clean. Shared kitchen small but good if you needed it. Everything was as fully described and forewarned. I had credit card and phone issues and couldn't get hold of Max to let him know. Praise the Universe, Max went against policy and had not given my booking away as he was entitled to do. Major relief and super grateful!

I'm a light sleeper but forewarned about possible traffic noise and to bring earplugs. So no complaints.

The hotel had everything I needed. I especially liked that there was a fridge in the room and I also used the were washers/dryers. The room was a really nice size. The woman at reception was really friendly and welcoming and happy to answer any questions I had. I had no problems with the shared toilets/showers. They were clean and I could always find a free one.

The bed was a bit on the soft side, but still ok. The hotel is further out of downtown than I ideally would have liked. However, as mentioned in the hotel's description, it is in walking distance (about 15min) and there is definitely not other hotel with the same value for money in the downtown area.

Clean room with queen bed. Shared bathroom was always available when I needed it, I got ready in the 6-9AM time frame across different days. Hostel was mostly quiet so no noise. Did late check-in after 11 PM, instructions were very clear. Blackout curtains in room helped a lot with the midnight sun, there was still some light slipping in from the gap between the curtain and the window!

Good location but not great for a walk around the area. There were shady characters and some homeless along the streets, no one bothered me though. 20 min walk to downtown. No soap dispenser in the bathroom.

The manager was great; very friendly and explained all facilities and rules fully. He takes pride in the hotel and it shows. I didn't expect much from a shared-bathroom hotel, but the room was nice and the bathrooms were spotless and modern. Even had free chocolates at the front desk. Other than the shared bathroom, you would think you were in a good quality standard motel electronic room cards and all. It is a little over a mile walking distance to Alaska RR station if that is your goal. Take a cab from the station as there is a steep hill, but it was an easy hike down in the AM.

Not much around in the way of food.

The bed was comfortable, everywhere was kept very clean. Excellent place to stay if all you are essentially looking for is a comfortable and clean place to sleep. Shared bathroom facilities seemed to work fine and we encountered no problems on that score. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially if you asked for advice. Easy access to centre of Anchorage- 10/15 min walk.

Our room was on the side adjacent to the main road, so a bit noisy and the curtains did not cut out all the daylight. However, nothing that a set of earplugs and an eye mask couldn’t solve if you are particularly sensitive to noise and /or light.

Staff is very helpful. Room facilities are useful and functional, namely the spacious fridge, including also free wi-fi. Small shared kitchen is clean as well as is the shared bathroom. The hotel is conveniently situated at the main road, part of the principal highway running from Kenai through Anchorage to Fairbanks

The hotel is relatively far from local public transportation and dining facilities.

If you do not have transportation, it is far from downtown by foot and it is not situated in a very good and safe area. I do not call the facility a hotel as there were no bathroom in the room. It is very expensive for what you get, but I guess this is Alaska everything is more expensive.

Ingra House is simple, clean and calm place to stay in Anchorage in walking distance to the downtown. The stuff was friendly and gave me advice about where to shop and travel. I liked the shared kitchen so that one does not need to dine in a restaurant each evening. Shared bathroom was not a problem, I never needed to wait for it.
