The location was beautiful - the room spacious. Good appliances. great closet.

The driveways were very bumpy - a message ahead of time explaining that the resort was still under construction would have been nice. our room faced the coffee shop, which was not good because of all the noise :(. We had to keep our windows open because the room was so hot. The fan worked fine, but better would have been a ceiling fan! We also didn't like (because we didn't know about it) it was a walk up - we would have asked for ground floor as we had heavy luggage my husband had to carry.

The room was comfortable with a lot of room. The location is outside of Seward in a very nice wooded area. Short drive to town and to Exit Glacier.

It was a bit odd arriving and there was no one there and it looked like a construction site. The rolling door between the bathroom and closet was cute but not a good idea. I kept closing my husband in the closet when I would leave the bathroom and he was unpacking. I even hit him with the door a couple of times. It liked to roll on its own which was annoying and noisy.

This was an excellent location with a very nice room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a great size and very clean. A full size fridge was nice for our groceries and having a microwave was handy. Dish soap and sponge were provided along with necessary dishes and silverware. The self-service check in and check out were incredibly easy to manage.

A few things that could have been improved were the amount of mosquitoes in the room…not sure if a bug catcher could be there? Or how that many got in if it was during the cleaning or because the window was open even though there was a screen. Having napkins or a roll of paper towels would have been helpful. The numbers to find your room were also very hard to read. One safety feature I noticed, the sprinklers in the room appeared to have their orange safety tabs still on them so I’m not sure they would have functioned had they be needed.

We stayed in the deluxe double queen which was new, large, simply but beautifully decorated, with a fabulous bathroom and an atmospheric electric fireplace. Great sheets and towels. The location is outside of Seward in a rather lovely wooded area. Short drive to town for dinner, and to Exit Glacier the next day.

We arrived late afternoon and there was no-one there (although I did eventually find a member of the cleaning staff to check our room location after self check-in). A table and seating, but no lounge chairs. The gravel road around property and ongoing construction are not so pleasant, but the whole area should be great when they are completed and some garden is installed.

The 2 bedroom chalet we rented was exceptional. The chalet was newly built, had brand new appliances and extra touches like a large steam shower in one bathroom and a jetted tub in the other. The overall cleanliness was top notch, it was spotless. They even had 2 fans so if you are someone who likes a fan for sleeping this is a definite plus. We used the washer and dryer because we got dirtier than expected on our fishing charter. The setting of Spruce Lodge is perfect for a real cabin like experience but with upscale amenities. There is even a fire pit with stacks of wood available if you want to make a fire. I will definitely stay here if I make it back to the beautiful Seward area.

Nice location. Rooms were cute and very clean. Very good price for room.

Parking is limited and the road around property isn’t finished yet so kinda rough. Try to get a room on the second floor as if the people above you are heavy steppers, you hear them all night walking. There is only one way up to the rooms so depending on where you room is and with parking, it’s not far but could have a walk therefore if you use a wheelchair or can’t walk more than 50 or so feet, probably better to notify office that you need a room closer than at the end.

Great place to stay at, close to glacier and close to town for dinner etc. Room with big apple tv, movies available for play. If you use the link that you get through sms, you can do all online, even locking your room etc, great. Use the link! I did, but just before check out :)). Oh, they have good coffee outside, i was sceptical, but great morning sandwich with bacon and egg, is made for you just in time, wow, loved it, taste, to go, task few minutes.

In my room ( under roof ) was warmer than wanted and i had difficulties to ventilate it/ cool down. Opened window and used included ventilator, but the hidden AC was propably not working. Oh, is hard to find, look for hanging flower pots and coffee sign on access from main road…They are building one more site beside, but no noise etc during my stay.

I liked the cleanliness and especially the lack of carpeting! There was just enough decor to make it feel a bit homey. One of the staff eagerly helped us find the correct location for our room.

The main thing I noticed (that may be easily remedied for those of us who are sensitive to scents) was the very strong scent of laundry detergent and/or fabric softener used for the bed sheets and some towels. Very strong scents! Unscented is way better for most people. Please consider making this change for your guests.

Liked the self check-in, liked the location near the Harding Ice Field trail head. We liked the cleanliness and the small suite with refrigerator, stove, sink kitchenette.

Strong smell of cleaners that had been used to clean the room before arriving. Absolutely unacceptable to clean with products that leave such residue and odor. Could not air out the room adequately for pleasant night sleep. Sliding barn door to bathroom positioned so that it prevented a night stand on one side of the bed. The barn door also closed access to the closet. If someone is in the closet and someone else slides the door to get in the bathroom, it closes the person in the closet. Parking lot is coarse stone, and rough. Employee car blocked ability to drive around the building. Parking on one side much better than the other. Worker in expansion project (new set of rooms) was allowed to blair music at a normally peaceful time of the early evening.

Our room at Spruce Lodge was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Outside, it was quiet and relaxing.

There is no A/C, and despite the temperature outside being on the cool side, our room was quite warm. Also, guests should know that the hotel is a few miles outside of town. It is only a few minutes drive to the port, restaurants, etc., but something to keep in mind.
