A nice 50s inn at the heart of ASU Tempe - walkable, safe, vibrant, lots of businesses (restaurants, fresh food markets, banks, grocery), green spaces, public transport, close to airport by light rail. The room was clean, quiet, minimally but nicely decorated. Had the basic amenities I needed (comfy bed, good shower, soft towels, charging outlets, a desk, chair, side lamps, coffee maker, parking space, good room temp control) or were desirable (TV, drawers, hanging space). Staff (Jennifer) was kind & helpful.

Could be better: a second char, more lighting in the bathroom (around the mirror), an additional shelf by the sink for personal toiletries, a bit of darkening or privacy curtains (light shown thru the shutters)

If you like quirky, refurbished motels, the University Inn is for you. The rooms are clean, colorful, and freshly decorated. The TV gets a copious number of channels. The room includes and work desk and coffee maker. The location can't be beat. Mill Ave. restaurants and shops are a short walk away. Highly recommended!

The room is small, but that is the nature of a motel. I would have liked a comfy chair for sitting, but that is a minor quibble.

Budget-friendly, nicely updated, super clean and well-kept, and the nicest staff ever. Location is smack dab in the center of Tempe so all those great restaurants, shops and bars on Mill are a stone's throw. Free parking in the little lot is very convenient. And if you're planning to be on the ASU campus, this is a fabulous place to stay. Oh, and there's a coffee maker and tiny adorable retro fridge. And plenty of outlets for devices.

It's a budget hotel, so don't expect fancy bells and whistles. But, anything you might need you can probably find nearby (grocery stores, restaurants, drug stores, etc. are short walk away).

It was an awesome value. It was a great room… everything I needed, very very clean, modern, comfy bed and I felt safe. Fernanda was friendly too! It was perfect and at a great price. Typically when I get a good price like this expectations are not exceeded. But this time they were.

Nothing. There was even a CVS on the corner for convenience. Although I don’t know much else about the neighborhood since I was going elsewhere.

I loved the king-sized beds, they had great blankets. The AC/fan that was in the room worked so well. The shower was decently sized, and although it did not have a door the shower head made up for it (the water ran pretty well and so did the water pressure). I was surprised by how well the room was kept. Two things went wrong for me, but it turned out to be fine. First, the door to my room had a glitched-out alarm system which was fixable just by repeatedly shutting the door after scanning it with the card that was given. Second, I did not get a filter for the coffee machine, I could have just asked but I just bought some stuff from Circle K that was close by. The location was nice, there are many things nearby. It wasn't walking distance from most attractions, but I would still recommend traveling everywhere via Uber or rental car if you're just traveling for business or vacation. Doordash is also always a great source of food ordering online, I used it for quick and easy things for the room, there are also groceries you can get on there too. I would suggest staying there for a short period of time, maybe 1-4 days because there are much more things to do near, Tempe Marketplace or Glendale.

Honestly nothing much besides that there should be better doors for the bathroom, and just got to fix certain mechanical errors with the doors; I enjoyed my stay either way. Better coffee machines or coffee would be always nice for us coffee drinkers.

Great location right in the heart of ASU! So many restaurants, bars, shops, cvs, Whole Foods all within a very short walking distance. Steps away from the electric shuttle. The rooms are updated, cute and cozy. Mini fridge, small coffee maker. No breakfast, no pool or hot tub but not a deal breaker by any means. Best value for that area for sure!

It would be nice if they offered complimentary coffee in the check in office. For all of those who need more than a small cup in the morning…

Friendly staff and location was great for the event we were attending at the Tempe Beach Park. The bed was large and very comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious. The A/C worked very well.

Parking lot was beyond small, not big vehicle friendly. The door also looked like it was kicked it because there was a gap on the bottom half. Very bight, the shutters did no justice and the sliding barn door offered no privacy in the bathroom. Shower spout was large but the pressure was very poor. Everything seemed to be made for a tall person from the peep hole to the towel hangers.

This Motel exceeded.my expextations. The boutique style was pleasing. The room was comfortable, esthetically pleasing and I loved the off the main area sitting room. The location was fantastic for our event. Plus easy walk to eateries and entertainment. Affordable price. I highly recommend.

Couldn't think of any need for improvement off hand.

Close to the ASU campus, many restaurants, drug store. Staff went out of their way to accommodate me, which made my trip easy and less stressful. Basic, but nicely furnished. Very clean. Bed was comfortable and the rain head shower was appreciated, as was the coffee machine. I would stay again.

The only drawback is it's located on a really busy part of town. But we loved the location. We were able to walk to great places. The room was awesome.

Just the busy road below. When you're next to a college campus, the city never sleeps. But it was great. I actually liked the hub bub and the busy life style.
