This is a GREAT value-for-money hotel right on the edge of the university district. With only a one block walk you are right in the heart of all of the great restaurants and bars that are on ASU's main drag. The hotel is clean, comfortable and has friendly staff.

The only downside (and for me it was a significant one) is that my room was very dark. My window was on the dark side of the building to begin with and my room was long and narrow. This meant that the interior of the room was basically reliant totally on room lighting. That made it a bit depressing and not a place I wanted to hang out.

Location is near the ASU campus and the PHX airport so it was easy to flight in to visit my son who studies there. Clean, big room, comfy bed, quiet.

The front desk receptionists do the job but don't make me feel welcomed. No smiles :-( There was ice water by the front desk and I wanted to put some in my water bottle after I checked out while waiting for the ride. I was discouraged and told that wasn't a water filling station. After just spending $130 for a night of sleep, I wish taking a cup of tab water with me on a hot day wasn't such an issue.

It was in a nice part of the town. A bit of a walk from the ASU campus, but close to some wonderful bars and restaurants. And at a decent price too.

IMO, it seemed like it was on the edge of the “college town”. Take that with a grain of salt though as I didn’t really walk beyond the campus or the Whole Foods down the street.

The location was great. Ended up getting moved to first floor room due to foul smell on the third floor.

We went through booking.com. It would’ve been nice to know that there was going to be a deposit when we got there. The clients that we had set up to stay. There was not aware of the deposit. Neither were we.

Staff was great and accommodating! Check in was easy. The lady that helped me DIDN’T make me feel like I was bothering her!! Morning crew was great even filled my cooler with ice before I departed!!!

Fridge didn’t work!

I absolutely loved the price for the location of the hotel. It was walking distance from the bars on Mill Ave and was able to enjoy my night out and be able to walk back no problem. Staff was also very kind.

I guess the thing that was a bit questioning was that there was a section of plastic on the floor and doors seals next to my room.

Great value for money. The staff was super friendly. Great location, plenty of good options within walking distance, clean room.

The bedding was a bit weird.

2 hour early check in cost $35. No free breakfast and I thought it had free parking but it was $15 a night. Our $160 room was more like $220!

Niki was so helful and very nice, during our checkin....very accommodating!

Was not told the breakfast area was cashless...we found out after we turned in our room keys for checkout.

The Sonesta Tempe Downtown was simple, but the basics met my expectations: clean, safe, quiet, and close to downtown Tempe! The staff was especially kind despite a busy Final Four week.

The AC stopped working randomly so woke up in a sweat but it kicked back on. Can't complain much. It was great!
