Generous setting in room and reception hall, close to ASU campus. Tram station into Tempe & Phoenix close-by. The pin-ball machines offering free unlimited games are exceptional and basically the reason why I'm deciding to stay here. Pity they aren't particularly maintained. The drinks & breakfast items provided by the reception staff are nice.

Missing tea/coffee cooking facility in the room is partly compensated by complimentary hot drinks in reception area.

Moxy Tempe/ASU is conveniently located and has clean, basic rooms. The lobby and pool areas are also fun and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful--not stuffy like at some higher end hotels.

The place felt a little deserted while I was there. Not sure if if was just the night I was there or Moxy Tempe/ASU is having trouble attracting guests. Some of the room furnishings and decor tried a little to hard to be "different" and were either cheaply made or not very practical.

Favorite part was the location. I went to a game at Arizona State University and it was only about six blocks away. Breakfast is priced separately from the hotel bill, but was not very high-priced and was well-made. I had a breakfast burrito. Comfortable room and spacious. There are a number of restaurants on the adjacent roads and there is a CVS right next door. If you choose it for travel, the street car has a stops in Tempe with one near the hotel. I think it is the same one that passes and has a stop for the Phoenix airport.

At first I walked around the hotel a couple of times trying to find the main entrance. The bar is in the lobby and I finally noticed the sign that said to check in there. I had gotten an e-Mail from the hotel that mentioned this. The e-Mail was sent by the time I was going to the flight to Arizona and I didn't check my e-Mail until after I got there. So I would have known this if I had checked the message. Could be helpful to other visitors to see this info in the review.

Great vibes. Comfortable room. Got a great nights sleep. It’s close to the PHX airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They let me get into a room a little earlier than I expected and you get a ticket for a beverage that you can redeem on your arrival date. Tons of common room space in the lobby that doubles as a bar. Wi-Fi was good and I was able to doordash a food order directly to my room. Again - it’s a laid back and relaxed atmosphere that made it a very comfortable stay.

Nothing - it was exactly what I expected.

I liked having a bar (even though I don't drink alcohol they still had one of my favorite NA beers available) right in the main area of the hotel, breakfast was great meaning quality of the food.

I wished they had small refrigerators and/or coffee maker/microwave in the rooms. I did not explore whether I could request this, just assumed they would have it. We had left-overs from restaurants and no way to keep them cold. Also, when I first get up in the morning, I like to have coffee prior to dressing/showering and only way to do this is to march down the lobby to get some!

The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional, the staff was very friendly and the hotel was fun and inviting. My children and i had a fabulous time. We really loved the board games that were available and the pool table and checkers games. I will definitely be staying again.

The only thing that would have made the stay better would have been a small fridge in the room.

The Locations was fine - right in the middle of Tempe's campus if you were visiting Tempe/ Phoenix for that purpose it's perfect Free Warm Cookies were a nice touch Chic decorations Modern , clean , well designed rooms, everything was new and fresh Comfy bed

It felt a little crappy to have to pay to park in their parking lot. I mean the whole of Tempe / Phoenix is one giant slab of concrete - literally every business has a parking lot but because of their campus location and restrictions on street parking they choose to charge guests to pay for their parking spot. It felt like being cheated a bit. The lot wasn't even close to full when we stayed either. I can see charging the public to pay as they are in a party neighborhood or during games but their own guests? felt obnoxious. Plus I've stayed in a lot of Marriot Bonvoy properties all over the country and never had to pay for parking even in the middle of downtown Washington D.C. 5 blocks from the white House

I really like the unconventional and quirky decor and ambiance. The guys @ the front desk aka bar were fantastic! They treated us like royalty. The lobby / dining area created a very low key and relaxing vibe which is exactly what we were looking for. The room was dark, bed was comfortable and I slept better than I had in ages. The pool area was nice also.

Since it is right at ASU the traffic around the hotel was pretty heavy making getting in and out a bit uncomfortable. As some people mentioned there was an odor in the hallway and elevator but it smelled like an industrial cleaning product. I only noticed it when we first got there and it seemed to dissipate after awhile. The positives far and away out weighed these minor negatives.

We stayed at the Moxy on both ends of our Tempe vacation (travelled to Sedona in the middle). The location was great for our purposes, as it was close to friends. The hotel has a great vibe. it was exciting to see the lobby filled almost all day long with groups of people -- enjoying the free games, the patio/pool or chilling at the bar. The rooms are cool, simple, and comfortable. The AC/heater worked very well. The deep end of the pool is 8-feet (impressive) and the pool water is heated (also impressive)

Not much to critique. Some of the lighting in the rooms are not that bright. I get that it is part of the ambiance, but you have to turn every light on to have a good view of the room at nighttime. The hot/cold works in the bathroom/shower, but they were inconsistent (i.e., where is hot/cold on the handle) between our first and second rooms.

MOXY its not your regular stay. It has a relaxed vibe. The decor is casual/ industrial. Front desk is a bar. The are video games, a largo lounge área with TV.

Beds are to soft. Pillows are small
