We return to this spot every year for a girls trip. Everything was clean and comfortable, and I was blown away by the front desk staff. Not only did they tell me everything I needed to know but the two girls working Saturday night were introducing themselves, trying to accommodate whatever they could, so friendly and helpful. For some reason Best Western Hotels don't store an extra blanket in the closet, like most hotels, but a quick call to the front desk and it was delivered to my door promptly.

No issues! The cost has gone up a lot this past year compared to prior years, which isn't my favorite, but it's because of the area.

Pleasant appearance approaching and entering the lobby. Easy access to open the door to the room. Having a tub. Good tv. Good pillows… not hard.

We didn’t like the location of our room. We didn’t ask for a different one, but next time I’ll ask to see the room first. We checked in on time and got a very small room right on the street. We didn’t pay for the upgrade but we could have had a nicer location. I don’t think the entire hotel would have all first floor rooms assigned at 3:30 on a Sunday. I think front desk staff may give a choice to customers for the nicest room they have when the check in. We were asked if we wanted a ground floor or upstairs. If not full, a bit of sales would help the customer feel like there was an effort to give a nice room and make a good impression.

We were able to get a room with a balcony overlooking the garden area which is always nice. We've stayed at this hotel probably 5-6 times now and like it and the location very well.

Coffee machine was broken so I called to get it replaced but after 30 minutes, just took the broken one down to the front desk and they had someone deliver a working machine. The night before, I went to the ice machine and next to it, there was leak from the ceiling with a bucket on the washer to catch the water, except the bucket was totally full and leaking into the washer. Didn't look very good, kind of janky. There were also some loud guests talking on their balconies and it is amplified due to courtyard, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Courtyard is gorgeous, building is lovely, good location next to the freeway, and shopping area and beach are just a couple of blocks away.

Room was small, without the beautiful beams shown in some pictures. Some furniture was slightly shabby. Pool area is very small and next to the parking lot. Technically you can walk to the beach, but it’s a few blocks. Unless you get a courtyard room, you will have a view of the parking lot or, in the back, of the freeway. Breakfast is not included in the room price, but their restaurant is nice and reasonably priced.

Enjoyed our 3 day stay at the hotel especially the balcony looking out into the courtyard which is why we chose the hotel. Used as a base to visit Santa Barbara. Ideal place to stay if you are stopping for the night and travelling onwards. Tip: Delgado's, a traditional Mexican homemade meals and setting is in walking distance and definitely worth going to. The Shrimp Relleno Michoacano was the best Mexican meal I've ever had!

Pool and jacuzzi (separate areas) weren't that enticing to use.

I have family in the area so I never eat here, but this hotel is perfect in all ways for a frequent traveler. They have a good office space for guests to use a computer and printer. Their outdoor jacuzzi is great and the outdoor pool is also a plus (though not what I would consider heated). Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Easy to find and close to everything one would need like great Mexican restaurants, grocery shopping, the BEACH!

It's all good

The room was clean and nice, really nice restaurant area with good breakfasts, and the staff was very nice. Bonus the room was ready early which is always nice after a long day on the road.

The only thing we didn't like was that the numbering system was very confusing and didn't make sense as to the location of our room. We had to ask as it didn't match up. The other thing was the room door didn't close tightly, so you could see the light from the hall and hear a lot more in the hallway.

Location across from the ocean was great. Parking was great. People were great. The room was clean except for the carpet was showing wear and tear. The areaa was Quiet area. Exterior was attractive and good for hanging outside.

The carpet was badly stained. The sliding door was clunky. The shower dripped until the plumber repaired it. Only minor stuff.

Close to the Surfliner Carpinteria train stop, took my grandsons on the train and stayed two nights. They loved the Koi pond and the gardens.

We decided to have breakfast at the restaurant on site. It was very overpriced for what you got. If I didn’t have the kids, I definitely would’ve rather have gone somewhere else for breakfast.

Very pretty hotel. Good location, in walking distance to main street. The staff was great and accommodating. Nice restaurant and bar on top floor. The room was clean. We had a good view of the pretty courtyard.

The water pressure in the shower is weak. The pool is very small and unimpressive. The jacuzzi is in a different part of the hotel.
