An absolutely amazing Victorian house. Honestly the pictures don’t do it justice, she’s a stunning lady! There are so many little details around the house that are wonderful to discover, the stained glass is especially nice. We stayed in the turret room, which had an excellent view of the Carson mansion across the street and also a lovely view over the water. The bed was super comfortable, the towels were soft, the bathrooms were fantastic and had great water pressure. The downstairs parlour even has a grand piano! We felt right at home staying here, although can only wish our real home was as impressive ☺️ The location is also very convenient- there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the historic old town is just a short walk away. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and provided lots of interesting information about the house, as well as plenty of coffee/tea and snacks. It was a wonderful place to stop for 3 nights, only wish we’d been able to stay longer! We would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Eureka.

The front gate lock was stiff making it difficult to open/close. There are lots of stairs so very heavy suitcases can be a bit of pain taking them all the way up but that’s the burden of historic buildings.

I loved the architecture. Great location. Wonderful view of the parent house. Short walk to old town shops and restaurants. Highly recommend the Green Lily for breakfast.

I wish the dinning room had been open so I could have seen that part of the house. It was included in photos of the property but was barricaded off while I was there. Would not have paid extra for the private bath if I had it to do again. No real benefit. The other bathroom was nicer and there were only 1 or two other guests. Hand towels in bathroom stained.

The house was very cozy and stunning

I didn't know how to make hot water in the morning or what kitchen supplies I was allowed to use. But I also didn't reach out, so that's my bad.

Rented the whole Pinc Lady with friends, to see the Kinetic Sculpture Race, Eureka, and the Redwoods. Absolutely best location: spend the afternoon on the front porch with wine and snacks and watch the race roll by! And of course the view of the Carson Mansion from the Pinc is a fabulous view. We love architecture, history, and art, and our stay at the Pinc provided everything we wanted. It was great for our group to have beautiful kitchen, living room, and community spaces in the house areas to enjoy hanging out together. Rooms had lots of natural daylight. We had an easy walk from the Pinc to all the restaurants and shops in old town, although we never had a difficult time with parking anywhere in town. Communication and interaction with Jacqueline, the owner, was great, and she left a generous selection of welcome snacks. Maybe its not a plus for everyone, but there was a steady flow of people who come by to appreciate the architecture (stare at the house, take pictures, ask us questions...), which we felt was a part of the fun camaraderie atmosphere of the weekend race festivities.

So many stairs! Not a problem for most of us, but a friend hurt her foot during our trip, so it was difficult for her. We wished there was a standard large capacity coffee maker for our group (8 people wanting two cups of coffee in the morning adds up!), rather than the single serving coffee pod machine.

Great hospitality - welcoming, excited to share history of the property, accommodating of requests. The hospitality and the place itself were a welcome respite from hectic travel and work. The room was lovely, comfortable, well appointed. I prefer a firmer bed; pillows, linens, etc. were really nice. Also appreciated (limited) access to the kitchen to make tea/coffee, etc.

Going forward, some guidance on kitchen use, etc., may be helpful to guests. I felt welcome to use the microwave to warm up instant oatmeal I had brought, but was uncertain about whether/to what extent it was ok to eat in the kitchen, etc.

The Pinc Lady is a historic wonder and real eye candy in a cool historical and Victorian way. // Mario was an excellent host! Down to earth and honest, he went above and beyond to make sure I was accommodated during my stay. One of my biggest concerns (see cons) was the safety of the neighborhood... I was traveling with a lot of thing in my vehicle that I would have had a hard time taking out so Mario let me park in the gated area of the back. An extra thing he didn't need to do but it was a game changer for me to have peace of mind. // The bed was SUPER comfortable with pillows galore. // SUPER close walk to downtown Eureka! (One of the locals at a shop said it's a great location to stay at)

My biggest concern is the safety of the neighborhood. The Pinc Lady can't change that though so it's not points against them. Crime and vehicle break ins are high, so prepare accordingly. // The property is under new management and they are doing a lot to update and make the property nicer... some of the outside of the building is in disrepair (paint is peeling and the back courtyard is just a bunch of dirt/mud) but new management is actively working on those things which is great to see. // They make you take your shoes off at the front door (they provide slippers) ~ I understand why (to protect carpet/history/etc) but it was just a bit of a hastle.

Our stay at the hotel was impressive, starting with its prime location and the stunning views it offered. It lived up to its descriptions, providing a perfect blend of comfort and convenience right next to the downtown district. This made exploring the local area on foot both enjoyable and easy. We appreciated the straightforward street parking, a detail that made coming and going particularly stress-free compared to other city hotels. The staff's responsiveness and helpfulness stood out, ensuring our needs were met with a mix of professionalism and warmth that added a special touch to our visit. Choosing this hotel proved to be an excellent decision for us as a couple. It offered the ideal mix of a peaceful retreat with easy access to downtown Eureka. We're already looking forward to our next stay, confident in recommending it to anyone seeking a blend of convenience, comfort, and excellent service.

During our stay, we noticed that the acoustics on the second floor allowed sound to travel quite easily, meaning that in the mornings, we could hear the activities of other guests. This included conversations and movements from adjacent rooms and the hallway, which became particularly noticeable as people started their day. While this wasn't a major disruption, it's something to be mindful of for those sensitive to noise or looking for a quieter stay.

Hosts were magnificently friendly. We were given a wonderful tour with history of the beautiful house. Our room was beyond our expectations. We had a full front view of the Carson Mansion from our turret windows. We had a private bathroom with plenty of hot water. Our room was both comfortable and beautiful.

Certainly not something that would keep us from returning but I will say the bathroom was really cold and I would have loved to be able to soak in the tub.

I felt like I was visiting friends and enjoying the beauty in full of a step Back in time to the 1800’s, with modern additions we are accustomed to in our era. Above and beyond pleased with the cleanliness and grace of this Victorian Home!

It could be a little chilly, just due to Victorian design, but we were given access to heater and blanket and told just to ask and the temperature would be adjusted.

Fantastic stay at the Pinc. The owner (Jacqueline) gave us a wonderful overview of the history of the mansion. Her labor of love certainly shines through and her story is inspiring. We wish her the best, and if you like the victorian period, I highly recommend staying here.

The town of Eureka has likely seen better days and there are signs of income disparity - hopefully that will improve over time.
