The location was spectacular right next to Cameron's famous pub and only steps from the start of the historic Main Street district. At the end of Wavecrest is the most incredible coastal trail that is very private and no one really knows about it, so there were very few people around. We went to all the beaches and this one was the best!!!! Just a few steps away from the hotel and a really great and easy hiking area with incredible views. You have to scale an easy ravine down to the beach, but It was an amazing adventure. Erica and Indriana were amazing hosts and the staff here are stellar. The place is squeaky clean and breakfast was a great little tide over until you got to one of the many amazing restaurants! All in all this place rocks!

Not a thing at all - it was perfect!

The location was excellent. Very close (about 4 minute drive) into town (Half Moon Bay). It was near the public access to the beach. We had to drive there, but not far.

The crazy check-in, where the front desk person asked for my email and said it was better for them to email me my room number rather than him saying it to me. Okay. There was no one else nearby. Also, he apparently typed in my email incorrectly, because after standing there awkwardly for about 2 minutes, he just showed me the receipt, which had the room number on it. There must be a better way for him to get me my room number, like how about whisper it to me or something. Also, the bathroom walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbor taking a shower, which made us wonder what they could hear.

We did not use the breakfast option due to our schedule. The location is excellent, right off Highway 1. Parking might be a problem when all rooms are booked and the restaurant next door is open. We have a dog and the accommodation is good. As a bonus, the walk to the dog park down the road is fairly short. Beyond the dog park and toward the ocean are several nice walking paths allowing dogs. We did stay at another hotel chain on this trip and in comparison our stay at Aristocrat was much more enjoyable. Once inside our room we truly appreciated the sound deadening that has been done at Aristocrat. We didn’t hear people talking, people running up and down the hallway or toilets flushing like we did at the second nationally ranked hotel. Oh, the beds at the Aristocrat are very comfortable to sleep in and for someone with back issues they were just what was needed. This was our third visit to Aristocrat and if we are near Half Moon Bay in the future we would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was decent, rooms really clean, staff was attentive and the location fit our needs perfectly.

Everything was pretty good except the first room they put us in didn’t have a working TV and hubby MUST watch his football and the phone USB charger didn’t work. Ultimately, they had the front desk clerk come in and try to try the TV working, which she couldn’t get fixed, and we had to pack up and move to a different room. It wasn’t that bad but we had already unpacked our things and had 2 dogs in tow. Also, the bed was not as comfortable as I’d hoped.

Great location. Easy access to downtown and the restaurants and stores. Close to public beach access.

The check-in was strange. We had to give our email address to the front desk to get our door code, and the person apparently typed in the email incorrectly and ended up just writing it on a piece of paper. There must be a better way of doing this. Also, we could hear the person in the next room taking a shower. Walls must be pretty thin.

Clean, neat, easy entrance

I traveled with my daughter who is paralyzed and in a wheelchair and her companion dog. There was no handicapped parking space and I definitely need that extra space to get her in and out of the van. Our wheelchair accessible room was on the second floor which is not acceptable in case of a fire. It also is a lot of additional work loading in an out of the elevator with the wheelchair and the dog. Additionally there should be a door stop or some type of latch to hold the heavy bathroom door open because it takes a while to get a wheelchair into the bathroom and the door would slam back on us. Not sure who determines accessibility but it certainly isn’t a wheelchair bound individual.

Second time staying here. Friendly and courteous staff. The room was clean, comfortable, great beds, mostly quiet and well stocked. Check in and check out was easy, parking very good and the pet area was adequate. The road to the west and on to the dog park was not too long of a walk if someone wanted to do that.

I’m not much of a breakfast person but I felt the breakfast menu could have been expanded. The hot foods were okay but also could be evaluated further for freshness and flavor. Basic things were there and I was able to get what I needed at the time.

The bed was perfect, not hard, and the pillows were fluffy. The included breakfast had warm food like egg and sausage sandwich, as well as the usual cereal and bagels. There was a dinner spot right next door on the property that was very convenient since the hotel was not walking distance from the main town.

It was karaoke night at the pub right next door and we happened to be at the room right at that corner second floor. It didn't go all night which was good. And they have a snack bar inside the hotel lobby, yet the prices are very expensive for basic snacks.

The breakfast sandwiches and coffee were good. The sign said breakfast opened at 7 am, but it was usually open by 6 am, which we appreciated. The proximity to the pub was great -- what a fun place! The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I wish I had checked in with her and not the weird kiosk.

The pet area was awful. After paying $45/night for my 6-pound Shih Tzu, a small patch of grass seems like a small thing to expect. The "pet area" was mostly covered with a giant pumpkin replica on a trailer. My dog seemed confused. The pet fee was way too much.

The staff was wonderful, and I love the breakfast options every morning! Rooms were very clean!

I was staying with my dog and the little doggy potty area you couldn't walk in because nobody seemed like they were picking up their poop, but plenty of other options for your dog to go potty. Not really the staff's fault just some of the people that have dogs.
