The location and facilities were great. But the service was what set this property apart. The owner/manager was very communicative. Told us exactly when our room would be ready and asked us when we expected to arrive so she could ensure the room was ready or make our room preparation a priority if we were going to get there early. We were in Morro Bay for one night as we needed to move our college freshman out of his dorm. We didn't expect him to be with us overnight but when our plans changed, they were able to accommodate us with a roll away bed. Speaking of beds -- the king bed in our room was incredibly comfortable and the scent in the room felt like we were sleeping in a spa. Even my husband commented on how good the aroma was. Sarah at the front desk was wonderful as well. She showed us to our room, introduced us to the amenities, which included fresh cream in the refrigerator for coffee, board games, a fire pit on our private balcony, and an in-room fireplace. Sarah even offered -- and we accepted - to taxi us to (and from) a nearby restaurant in the property's golf cart. Sarah could not have been friendlier. She really made our short stay extra special. We highly recommend this property and this will be our go-to stay in Morro Bay.

No complaints. Although there is not a specific place to park, we were able to find parking nearby and, if we couldn't, they offered to taxi us to and from our car in the golf cart. This isn't a complaint on the property as Morro Bay does not allow privatized parking on the Embarcadero Street and Cherise and the hotel have done all they could do to overcome this restriction. And ultimately it wasn't an issue at all.

Absolutely everything! The room, the parking situation, the staffing, the amazing amenities, cleanliness, and the attention to detail all throughout the room. My fiance and I booked this hotel for our anniversary and it was our first time ever staying here, the owner was an absolute angel. She was in constant communication with me and even allowed us to check in early. She gave us an arrangement with a card that said happy anniversary, and she gave us a room with an amazing view. Not to mention as soon as you walk out the room you're right on the doc to the beautiful view of the rock, and access to all the shops. I cannot wait to come back. Such a wonderful experience!!!!

What's not to love! The decor was fabulous 👌 The fireplace in the room as well as on the balcony really set the mood. My husband and I travel alot and this was our favorite stay by far. We love being shown how to work certain things in our room by staff, that was a bonus for sure.

The only downfall was no fault of anyone's. It did rain while our stay, and we couldn't use the gas fireplace on the balcony due to not having any coverage. We did huddle together by the door outside and try and make it work, but it was a little ridiculous, so we moved inside and enjoyed the fireplace in the room.

It was a beautiful room. We were in the Octopus room. Large terrace with a small view of the Morro Rock. The room was warmly decorated and had a great bed. It was comfortable with a Memeroy Foam mattress. Truly unique. The hotel definitely deserves the best rating. The owner gave us a warm welcome and showed us the room personally. The small store under the hotel is stocked with lots of little things and is well worth a visit. Unfortunately we were only there for one night, next time we will definitely stay longer! It's worth it, every dollar is worth it!

The location was superb and the decor was really nice and beachy. We especially loved the view and the outdoor space with the fire pit. We would definitely stay here again!

I can't think of a single thing that could have been better. The bed was super comfy and the fold out sofa was perfect for our daughter who also stayed with us. We appreciated having coffee in the room and a steamer for our wrinkled clothes!

This hotel was beautiful all around. The room was well appointed and the balcony with views was absolutely amazing. Hotel staff (including the owners) made us feel welcome and pampered. They go above and beyond to provide guests with the full getaway experience - even providing fresh cream for your Phil’s coffee in the room! Beautiful decorative accents personalize each room.

The location is top notch. The rooms are decorated beautifully and have their own theme. The fire pit on the Balcony was a great addition. The staff is very friendly and will personally see that everything is perfect. The bed was the best I have ever slept on while traveling.

The only thing that I was missing was a microwave but that is minimal compared to everything else that was fantastic.

The location was right on the water. The view was exceptional of Morro Rock.

The balconies of the rooms, faced the children's playground next door. It was very noisy during the day with children yelling and playing on the equipment. You couldn't take a nap in the afternoon with the sliding door open. Wish there was a chair in the room beside the wooden bench.

Love love the amazing view , our room was amazing & clean . You just feel the love & care that Cherise puts into everything . It was my 50th birthday & I couldn’t have asked for more . Cherise hung up a happy birthday balloon banner. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to Morro Bay

Cherise,, the owner will make sure your stay is a good one.. The location is central to the town. Lots to see and beach nearby.

Being right on the bay expect to hear seals barking and seagulls at dawn. Otherwise fairly peaceful. There is a small playground next to building, but it's young children usually.
