A great location near the heart of the downtown with an easy walk to restaurants, cafes and the museum. A lovely midcentury modern design. The warm swimming pool was a delight. Our room had a little kitchenette and back patio, which we enjoyed.

The property is a little rundown with little things here and there that are broken or not quite right. The lobby is closed during the day so if you need anything you have to go next door to the sister hotel.

Very cute mid century modern style hotel. We were moved to a large room (Julian Shulman room) due to our TV not working. The room was lovely, with a kitchenette and a view that overlooked the pool and mountains.

The breakfast offered was very basic: coffee, tea, oranges, apples and yogurt with granola and store bought muffins. No elevator so a bit difficult to move our suitcase to the second floor.

This place had a great mid century vibe and I didn’t want to leave. The rooms opened onto a central courtyard with a swimming pool. There were chairs and a small table outside our room in a small shaded area. These looked up at the mountains behind the hotel and the pool. There was old jazz softly playing. The breakfast was small but included good muffins and good coffee. We didn’t stay long enough for the cocktail hour. The staff were very nice. This was a great location a half block from restaurants and shopping but quiet. The room had a bar and blender! Very Rat Pack.

The bed was very hard and the pillows were a bit strange. I can’t think of anything else I would improve.

The location was very good, parking was easy, and the room was nice.

We actually ended up not staying at the Del Marcos due to a heating issue in our room. The staff were very nice and they moved us to the Serena Villas next door which we loved.

Well it could've been better than muffins but it was appreciated

Breakfast would be great but not necessary ... There was a suspicious stain on our chair that looked like a urine stain so we kept our distance from that one thankfully there was 2 chairs at the table...

Rose is an exceptional host and boss lady. The pool is so chill, i wanted a relaxing stay and it absolutely offers this. Lovely and quiet, but just 2mins walk from main strip, so perfect for solo travelers. The staff were all so lovely. You can borrow bikes to go off exploring too.

On the second night my room wasn't cleaned. Must have been human error, as the place is otherwise spotless. Couldn't work the TV.

small friendly esp Rose who is hotel butterfly, She is either running reception with a great sense humour or cleaning rooms or making a cocktail…all with a smile in the heat. definitely makes this hotel shine and should be viewed a great asset to this offering. The hotel is set around the pool, not intrusive with great sounds playing. You can either order drinks n food from la serena that is delivered poolside or pop across the road to the supermarket and get your own. very chilled.

Rose and Ben were both super friendly and amazing. The pool and rooms were great. Beautiful architecture and generous breakfast and happy hour drinks options.

We stayed in two rooms, the only thing missing in the second room were appropriate bed side tables to keep items and / or be able to charge phones etc. Also bathroom space was lacking . Other than that, lovely rooms. We couldn’t use contactless payment at checkout using tap and go cards saved on our smartphone. We had to used a traditional credit card which resulted in a 7% international payment fee on top.

Adorable retro Mid-Century Modern style that was very central — close walkable proximity to restaurants, museums, shops and VillageFest (every Thursday). Clean, updated, well-designed rooms that step back in time (in a good way). Also enjoyed breakfast and happy hour.

Not a knock, rather a warning that could even be a social bonus: the property feels somewhat communal given that the rooms surround and open onto the private, internal pool courtyard.
