This was a nice quiet property, contactless check in/out made it feel almost like an Air B&B. The heated saline pool was a highlight. We didn’t know the pool was going to be a shallow wading pool, but it didn’t matter since it was so perfect. The room was a nice size and the kitchenette was stocked with little complementary treats which was fun. The room was cute, well styled, and very clean. The bed and pillows were a little stiff for me, but it was fine for a few nights. It was nice to have access to the lounge to hang out in during the rain. This property is walking distance to the art museum and many good restaurants. We always try to stay in this neighborhood when we visit Palm Springs and have walked by this place many times. I’m glad we gave it a try! We enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again. It had an interesting architectural history which makes it unique.

Margarita is the soul of this place; she is so kind and helpful. The Hideaway feels like you're staying at your friend's house, with a few of her other friends. Great big rooms. It was great to have a kitchenette, especially because we spent the week there. The pool and grounds were lovely. The bed was comfortable. The facilities were clean and while a little dated, it mostly just made the place feel more mid-mod. We were obsessed with the bathroom wall heater. Location excellent but still quiet.

Felt a little pricey, but big and still more affordable than anything comparable nearby. That's just Palm Springs. I surmise they can't update the bathroom without killing the history and authentic touches, so that's the price I willingly pay to keep Palm Springs Palm Springs.

Very nice stylish hotel, preserved the 1947 charm and architecture. Comfortable bed, nice spacious room, very quiet location, yet close to everything downtown. Kitchenette with complimentary snacks was a very nice touch. Nicely kept grounds and heated pool. No touch guest service - so have to get out for breakfast/lunch/ dinner or byo.

No cosmetic magnifying mirror in the bathroom. The little tiny shampoo/ conditioner bottles are outdated and the conditioner is impossible to get out of the bottle! Because of the mid-century build date, no jacuzzi/ hot tub on property which would be nice for colder weather and evenings.

We had such a lovely stay. We initially booked another "luxe" hotel that just had very rude staff and weird vibes. We booked the Hideaway and we are so glad we did. It was quiet, lovely, clean pool, and I loved the decor. So charming. And LOVED the record player.

It was a nearly perfect stay and we will be back. However, I would have liked a comfier bed. It felt a bit too "springy" for me. Although my partner said it was completely fine for him, so just personal preference.

Loved the staff's responsiveness. They helped with restaurant recommendations, made check in really easy, and generally felt available for anything we might have needed even though there was no one actually on site. They communicated mostly thru text and this was perfect. I also loved the Victrola and old fashioned LP records in the room. The AC was easy to work. The shower was fun in the 1960's retro decor and also had instant on hot water and the shower had a strong flow. Great location - easy walking distance to the downtown restaurants and shops.

Would have been nice to have a water station to refill water bottles, but in the grand scheme of things, this was nothing.

Small and quiet single-story courtyard style motel with a pool in the middle. They had vinyl records to play in my room, which was nice to relax. The staff communicated very well and were accommodating. They had free snacks and soft drinks, which was nice after a long conference day.

The bathroom had black mold spots in the window tiles, and strange tiny black specs on the bathroom sink counter which looked like some kind of mold. Also the room was right next to an exterior pool closet which had a window between it and my room, and the light in the pool room was glaring into my room the whole night.

This property is spectacular! Everything is perfect mid century modern and we loved everything about staying here! I would come back to Palm Springs JUST to stay here again!

We loved everything! Only downer was that the little “hang out” room wasn’t open. The staff said that was because of city regulations though (after covid they still haven’t lifted all the closures I guess) but that’s not the property’s fault!

There was not a breakfast but we had a Keurig machine. We did have a problem with it working and used more pods that needed. Loved that there were drinks stocked and some snacks. Decor was very retro 50’s and updated in that style. Did not use the pool but it looked inviting. Loved location, walked everywhere. Oh and they provided sunscreen which we had forgot.🙄

A little impersonal with no onsite staff except a lovely housekeeper who helped us. Really cannot think of any improvements, spend our 50 th anniversary in a lovely spot. Thank you!

Perfectly situated within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs. Beautiful, quiet, lovely grounds, large pool. The bed is very comfortable. Robes are thoughtfully provided as are snacks, bottled water, sparkling waters, coffee pods, and creamers. I wish they had just plain creamer and not flavored but not a big deal. The room is small but large enough for a sofa seating area in addition to the bed so there is some room to move around. The views from the room and the grounds are so peaceful.

The property is a historical property, true to its age and genre. As such, the bathrooms are exactly as they were in 1947, which was not a problem for me as I had prepared for the evening at my home before arriving (I actually came from LaQuinta nearby) and did not need to use the shower, etc. to get ready for NYE. I can see how larger people of today’s sizes would have a little difficulty moving around in the smaller space with lower counters and smaller shower doors, however the owners thoughtfully added a higher mirror and counter in the main room that comes in handy to give you that extra room. My room had a sliding patio door instead of a regular room door, but with only 10 rooms and a secured property gate and fenced perimeter, I felt safe as a solo female traveler.

It was very peaceful with a lovely pool, garden and views. The location was perfect, close to main street with shops and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with original mid century features. The staff were friendly. There was a fridge in the room and a coffee machine with free coffee pods.

It wasn’t an issue but we would have liked to have had access to the lounge and kitchen area.
