Although a little dated decor, our room was spacious, well appointed and immaculately clean. We could have had clean towels every day (declined) together with fresh supplies of coffee and milk for the filter machine ( which also worked well with the tea bags we brought with us) Fresh filter coffee available all day from reception was also a bonus. We chose this hotel for its location near Fisherman’s Wharf and the terminal of 2 tram terminals; in fact it was even better located than hoped as well as being on several useful bus routes. An excellent choice of budget hotel.

The other Travelodge we stayed at in the USA in Seattle, provided an unexpected ‘ grab and go’ breakfast bag which would have further enhanced our stay.

Very comfortable and clean The area was safe, just a 10 minute walk to Fisherman’s Wharf where you can pick up buses, ferries and lots of places to eat and drink.

The traffic outside is noisy at night but that would be all over San Francisco not just this area.

Location was very good for walking as no parking spaces to most tourist areas........room was clean........paid extra for parking space and it was always available.

Next time I'll ask for bottom floor as climbing stairs, although well protected, was too much for me. Only one chair in room at desk so one person had to sit on bed to watch TV.

We liked that is was walking distance to many restaurants, Fisherman's Wharf, all of the piers and China town. You could also pick up a cable car one way for $8.00 and an all day pass for $13.00 about 3 blocks away. It was a great way to see the city.

The property was older and didn't have all the bells and whistles however it met our needs and it was comfortable. We were just there to sleep.

The manager was lovely and helpful and we got a light breakfast each morning which we weren't expecting. The bed was very comfortable and the accomodation was very clean. We had everything we needed for a smaller budget, and most importantly being in the Fisherman's Wharf location, close to many restaurants and a couple of blocks walking distance to Pier 39 and Pier 33 Alcatraz ferry. We had great views from our room too of parts of the city.

The room was quaint, but very tired decor which could do with updating. The hotel is located on a busy intersection of road, and has original single glazed windows which meant there was no sound barrier, but the chemist opposite sells earplugs which helped us sleep. You get what you pay for and we really enjoyed our stay. It was a great base for all local attractions.

No meals but close to 'Walgreen' which sold everything you could need. Short walk to transport for city viewing. Close to Fishermans' Wharf and other attractions.

The hotel is in a good location, a walking distance to the Fisherman's Wharf. The closest bus stop is also literally next door. Checking in and out was a breeze and easy.

Parking spot is limited and pricing is a bit steep at $25 per night. But that's expected for such location.

Room and carpets smelled rather musty

The cable car beginning and Pat’s Cafe were both within a short 1.5 block walk. We felt safe walking. There was probably more to see but we didn’t have time to explore. Roses were planted and maintained around the grounds.

The facilities were a little old, but we loved it. Tha was our second stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

We had the best time while visiting the San Francisco. This hotel met all our needs for price and location. We were within walking distance to North Beach, Chinatown, The Wharf and Ghirardelli. The parking was a plus - easy in and out. We walked to the grocery store and Starbucks (2 blocks). We stayed on the 3rd floor - be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs or since it's situated in a hillside - roll up the sidewalk and enter the 3rd floor that way too. We had a view of Coit Tower (AWESOME). Walgreens is on the opposite corner of the hotel and opened late!! Hands down we will stay here again when travelling to The Bay Area. Best value for a place to lay your head when exploring San Francisco. You are also about 2 blocks from one of the Cable Car turnarounds at Taylor!!!!

Hotel is older and could use some updates.
