When we checked in we met Brandi, who made us feel so welcome and was super helpful! She made sure we took full advantage of the property and surrounding area.

Location and breakfast.

Higher price compared to other options. Parking is extra and should be included for the price. First time staying at the hotel, was not aware of valet parking only. The arrival was confusing and the valet attendant did not welcome us or explain the hotel is valet only. There was a lack of communication and direction from staff on arrival. The front desk attendants don't greet you, heads are mostly down. Anyone can walk in and out without a glance. There was a homeless man who peed in the front by the door and nobody gave him a second look.

The room was very clean. They were able to reserve my second room close to my first room because we were staying with family, so that way our family could be close together. they were also able to provide a crib because one of us was traveling with a baby. The breakfast was great to have, lots of options and very filling.

The charge for parking is quite steep at 75/per night. Having two cars for two nights was almost the same price as a two night stay in a room. However, I understand that city parking is expensive by nature. The valet service was also nice and speedy, so you do get what you pay for.

Location is phenomenal. Central to most tourist attractions. Walking distance to pier 39. Can park overnight until 6:00 PM next day and avoid the trouble of finding parking when traveling to nearby attractions. Room was clean. Breakfast offering is as expected from Holiday Inn Express. Beds were comfortable.

This particular location is expensive for the value. I would have much appreciated the transparency pricing upfront. There were resort fees that were not included in the original listing.

I was happy with the cleanliness of the room. Everything was neat and in its place when we arrived. The location was great. It was walking distance to most places and near most restaurants around town. The breakfast was a nice added bonus as they provide a variety of options for your appetite.

I didn’t really like the fact that I had to wait to 3pm to check in as I arrived early. I understand the waiting period for the previous guest to pack and get the room back to top top shape but I would have loved to have check in times at different times other than 3pm

We were only in town for one night and the location was perfect. Handy walking distance to all on offer at Fishermans Wharf, ferries etc and perfectly located close to the Big Bus Tour. The staff were absolutely awesome to deal with and very accommodating around helping us store our luggage etc. The breakfast was all that we required to start the day, and the seating area was nice and clean. Our room was a great size too. Would absolutely stay again!

I cant think of anything we didn't like at the hotel

The location was what we'd hoped. The facility was clean and light, and in good repair. The employees were helpful and friendly, and the room was very comfortable with a view of Alcatraz. Best of all, it was a short walk to the Buena Vista for Irish Coffees with breakfast!

Unfortunately, there is still a very visible homeless population in the area...not horrible during the day, but more active after dark. We were prepared for it, as we'd stayed in this area before, and wanted to be within walking distance to the attractions we wanted to visit.

Front desk personnel Brenda was awesome! I think everyone should take lessons from her on customer services, she made me and my friends felt like families and welcomed!

This is a good family hotel in a fun tourist area of San Francisco. There’s good public transportation nearby so we didn’t have to use the car. The required valet parking was expensive, but that’s to be expected in the City. The breakfast was decent and typical.

The room was stuffy and the windows did not open so we had to run air conditioning, which only helped a bit. We like fresh air! The bathroom had one of those awful automatic lights that blind you in the middle of the night. These are unsafe and annoying. They take your night vision and it’s hard to get back to bed. Please disable these unwanted features. If we want light we can turn it on.

Great location, close to the wharfs 39 Pier. Property is new and in great shape. Breakfast is much better than regular provided in other same-score hotels. There is public parking nearby but the tarrif is very high on weekends.

Parking fee is $73 which is a considerable amount of the accomodation fee. But it seems that is the general drawback of SF. Parking is very expensive.
