2nd time staying here. It’s really great in all areas. It’s a great place to stay. Showers are amazing, products are wonderful, the coffee and pastries delivered early morning is a wonderful touch.. the rooms are nicely decorated, the beds are super comfortable with plenty of pillows..

Only thing I’d really suggest is changing their tv system. We were looking forward as a family to stay in and watch movies after a day of excursions. We couldn’t get our Netflix account to work.. remote wasn’t working.. it was a bit frustrating. There was nothing to watch.. few regular tv channels with back to back commercials.. It’s one of the highlights of being in a hotel room is to watch movies .. I really hope they change that.

The hotel was very clean and well decorated. The staff was very kind and attentive. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room itself was very nice. I wish we stayed longer! The hotel is very close to Cal Poly, and a very easy drive or cheap Lyft ride into downtown or beyond. They offer bikes for you to use (included in a flat rate of $16 that you can opt to pay when you check in that gets you parking on-site, morning coffee and pastries delivered to your room, use of the bikes, wifi, and use of an off-site gym). The morning coffee and pastries was a nice touch. There doesn't seem to be any place to eat or drink on the hotel premises, but this area of SLO has countless restaurants and a few breweries/cocktail bars within a few steps of the lobby so it is no issue.

Not a deal breaker by any means, but I wish our room had more plugs near the beds. One side of the bed had no wall outlets, and the other side had a charging dock with USB 3.0 plugs. A lot of devices today use USB-C so we had to find other spots around the room to charge our phones and other devices. Other than that, which wasn't really an issue, there really wasn't anything to not like! It was a great hotel that I will definitely recommend to friends and stay at again.

Beautifully designed, large room with nice amenities. The bed was very comfortable! The overall design of the property is stunning.

I was asked if I wanted to pay for a package which included parking and wireless internet at $70 per night, cleared this up with the front desk that we did not need to pay it but the price seemed really excessive when the car park was not full and the room itself is already at a premium. The lodge is a bit of a walk to the main town area.

The decor is good, it's clean, simple, stylish. The bed and bedding is really comfortable. The bathroom had Aesop, a recognizable good brand for soap etc.

I think they should offer a water refill station near the ice machine or somewhere, you pay enough for the room and the extra (unexpected) $16 for parking/coffee delivery in the morning - another $7 per bottle of water seems unnecessary and gives you a sense that they are trying to make money on water, which is not cool in my opinion. There was no place nearby to get good (not plastic bottles) of water. Just seems like it would go a long way to offer filtered water to guests at no charge.

The staff was amazing, extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. I was able to get a late check out at the last minute with no additional charge. They drop off fresh pasties and a thermos of coffee to your door every morning at 7:30, both were delicious. Location is great, very walkable to downtown SLO shops and restaurants.

The parking is a bit tight. I have a full size SUV and was okay, but a large truck would be challenging.

Lovely stay at a thoughtfully designed, decorated and run hotel. The exterior reminds you of European buildings, tucked in between two other hotels/inns. Quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking, walkable, with a couple of good food options within 2-5 min walk. The staff was wonderful and the check-in was super easy and fast. The rooms are stylish, clean, with massive bathrooms, and super comfy beds. The selection of morning pastries with a thermos of fresh brewed coffee was a cherry on top. We'll definitely be back!

We took two rooms for 3 adults: my mom was on the bottom floor, and my husband and I had a Deluxe King on the upper deck. Bryce at the front desk was particularly helpful and friendly. I loved everything! The furnishings, the goodies on the desk, the beautiful bench to put our luggage, the large bathroom with its toiletries! There was even a balcony with shuttered French doors. I always appreciate also a kettle to make tea instead of an expresso machine, and your fine tea! What we loved most was the jazz that was playing when we came in our room! Like a special touch! We’ll be definitely considering this place for future trips.

The door between the bathroom and the room tends to close down abruptly, that is the only (minor) inconvenient. Also I didn’t get to ride the bikes available to the guests here!

Location, friendliness of staff, large room

“Continental” breakfast rather sparse—thermos of coffee and rather dry piece of pastry delivered to exterior door handle a little after 7 am. Worried about slipping in large walk-in tiled shower. Needed a non-slip mat. Staff did supply extra cotton bath mat/rug to stand on, which worked well to prevent slipping, but then had a very heavy wet mat/rug. Got fresh one daily. There was a small refrigerator in which I stored containers of fresh, cubed melons and also oranges purchased at local market to augment breakfast.

My daughters and I absolutely loved our stay here! I was a little nervous that when we got to the lodge it wouldn't be as cute as the pictures, but as soon as we arrived, from the lobby, to the staff, to the rooms, to the bikes, the pastry and coffee delivery, the departure caramels - everything was perfect. This lodge isn't really walking distance to downtown SLO, but it is a short 5 minute drive. My girls and I will 100% stay here again. So cute!

This was such a charming hotel. It was obvious that thought was given to every aspect of the room as it was all so well designed and stylish. I only stayed one night and regret not staying longer. Though the hotel isn’t in the downtown walk, it’s a quick and easy walk there or possible to talk the tram in the summer, if you don’t want to drive. They also drop off a light breakfast in the morning of coffee and scones, which is a nice touch.

Although the property was overall clean, I kept finding long dark hairs everywhere, which was the only thing I didn’t like.
