This was a great gateway, the place is clean and the staff is very welcoming, the room with the jacuzzi is a must working perfectly and the atmosphere is very chilling. The pool is small but warm so it was fun after a cold swim at the beach The location close to restaurants and the night life in the city ( 10-15 min walk) and the distance to the beach is arround 15-20 min(running) As a vegetarian the breakfast includes fresh fruits yogurt cereal waffles coffee ofcurse and for the beef lovers they had some mire options. Overall my experience was great and if u looking for a relaxing gateway this place is for u.

Off-season prices are pretty decent everywhere in Santa Cruz but the Comfort Inn included a heated pool, hot tub, continental breakfast also an incredible staff and top-notch cleanliness, it was so impressive. When you stay somewhere like a Comfort Inn, budget matters and this trip felt so doable because the prices were so fair. In all honesty a little better than fair when you add up things like the heated pool, hot-tub and breakfast.

When we got there I didn't like the size of our room because it didn't match the picture online. Apparently, I booked the handicap-accessible room by accident. Though they did admit the photos are older and don't always match the description. Note to self read more rather than trusting pictures. The bathroom was half the size of the room meaning less room space for my family of five. They quickly and kindly rectified my mistake at no extra cost and our room ended up being way better than expected. The skylight in the bathroom was so beautiful under the almost full moon when I took a bath.

Your staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, assisting us with all of our requests. We’d like to especially commend the young gentleman with glasses on the evening shift for his outstanding service.

One concern we had during our three-day stay was the noticeable presence of individuals experiencing homelessness in the area. While we understand this is a broader social issue, it did impact our overall experience, especially as we walked to nearby locations for meals and dessert.

We had a wonderful stay at the comfort inn. The pool and jacuzzi were such a treat and so relaxing. The breakfast was better then most hotels we have stayed at and my kids really enjoyed it. We loved the walk in shower with a place to sit down. Location was great not to close to the boardwalk but not to far . We would love to come back to this location. Staff was very friendly.

The room was clean and spacious. The location was perfect.

The room had blackout curtains that were only on the sides of the window. you could not block out the light . I had to use a blanket (I luckily had in my car) to drape over the window to make the room dark enough to sleep. I'm not quite sure why you would take great blackout curtains and cut them so they couldn't be pulled all the way across the window? Makes no sense. Everything else was great.

Got in late and parked in the back of the lot due to our vehicle size. As we were unloading some items, we were approached by one of the managers who said that he was just checking to make certain we were guests and not someone with I'll intentions. I appreciate that he went out of his way to be vigilant in protecting the guests vehicles.

I didn't like the fact that I only had 1 evening there but I look forward to a longer stay next time!

Comfortable room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. Air conditioning, plenty of power sockets (including USB charge station), and good free wifi. Beds are comfortable. Shower is decent. Standard of cleanliness is very good. Breakfast was nice and the hotel was quiet, despite being on a main street. Lots of parking, which seems reasonably secure. Within easy walking distance of downtown Santa Cruz. We also walked to the beach and boardwalk, which is a couple of miles from the hotel.

I would have welcomed some additional hot food items at breakfast - eggs maybe? For the price paid, there really is nothing to complain about.

Parking spots are way to close to each other. My husband had to crawl in from the passenger side to get into driver seat because the parking spot are horribly tiny. Breakfast sausage tastes like ass, get rid of it or improve quality.

The room was good quieter then I expected. Breakfast in the morning was ok.Waffles are good and some snack supplies also . Staff was very friendly and helpful

There was a problem with the jacuzzi tub. They did give a generous discount since I actually showed them what the problem was. The sausage at breakfast taste like fake sausage or vegetarian sausage.

Nice affordable place to stay in Santa Cruz. Nice clean rooms, the staff was awesome. I was surprisingly happy with the free breakfast. Plenty of options and staff was on top of keeping things stocked and the food and dining area clean. Nice pool and hot tub as well. It's a good deal for the price.

No elevator, I had to take the luggages to 2nd floor 😞
