The hotel is ideally located in Santa Maria (as central as can be in such a town) and offers free parking. There was also a pretty decent breakfast, including a waffle iron and some fresh fruits. These remain accessible in the lobby 24/7, as well as tea bags and some other amenities, which is a huge plus compared to all other hotels we stayed in (apparently customers are not supposed to drink tea in their rooms). The staff was also friendly and pleasant, and the room was huge and offered plenty of storage space, along with a comfy bed.

We had several issues with the lighting, as some of the lamps simply turned off for no apparent reason. Switching to other plugs worked, but it was a bit odd. More importantly, we had asked for a quiet room, and while we were not close to the main street, we were close to the restaurant, by which a truck remained parked with some kind of engine turned on all night. It was quite loud, so that was a bummer.

Everything was clean and in working order. Parking was readily available and the breakfast was good. They were great about our two dogs, who are big, but really sweet.

The bed and pillows were not great. The pillows were stuffed with small pieces of foam and it was hard to get comfortable with them. The one side of the bed had a permanent impression from where everyone seems to sleep. This made for a hard spot and that made it uncomfortable.

Bottom line, the quality of a residence is always going to be service! The staff of the Best Western Plus "Big America" were excellent. The included breakfast was more than adequate and was mad better by the attentive staff who made sure all the items were well stocked. The TV and WiFi worked fine, and the bed was comfy.

I wish that hotels would stop the use of "soft water" The salts used only make the water fell slippery and don't do anything else. The water controls in the tub/shower were stuck, which meant that when you turned the water on it would hit you in the face. (This is not a big problem, it is only a maintenance problem not systemic to the facility)

The breakfast was delicious and not the usual continental. You had eggs, omlettes, sausage, breakfast potatoes and everything else imaginable. Also the staff was excellent. The lady working the breakfast area was showing me the offerings and made suggestions for breakfast sandwiches and other combinations. She was also great with other customers as she made her way through the dining room and was checking on tables and making sure they were happy. Also, she cleaned tables in a timely manner and kept the floors clean. Saturday was extremely busy and she never missed a beat. I also must mention the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for extra regular coffee pods for our room and the young lady was really eager to accommodate our request. She was also very polite and greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile every morning. We were in town for 3 nights visiting family and every time she saw us she made me feel like she remembered me with her sincere personality. Also the room attendant staff is excellent. The room was cleaned extremely well and all the ladies were happy and friendly. You have a great staff at this location and we will continue to visit this location in the future. The only negative thing I can say is the location is close to some undesirable properties. What I mean is the shopping center next to you has so much graffiti on the building that is visible when entering the property from the south side. Perhaps you could call the city and ask them to be more proactive at painting over it. I know you don’t really have any control over the location but the things that you do have control over are excellent. Painting over the graffiti on the buildings in the shopping center on south side of your property. I know you don’t have control over this but if I were working there I would make a call to the city and let them know it could have a negative effect on your business and ask if they could be a little more aggressive with painting over graffiti.

It was a great experience. The room was clean, the staff friendly, the price was right. Would stay again.

The toilet clogged very easily. I would have liked a smart Tv option to use netflix or some sort of streaming for when I got in at night. Someone hit my rental car in the parking lot overnight which was a bummer.

When looking for the hotel and using Google maps use the actual address rather than hotel name otherwise the map can take you behind the hotel making it somewhat hard to find. Otherwise no issues at all. Id happily stay again

The suite is well designed a small home bedroom, living room, bathroom and they are divided. It was very clean. I really appreciate the breakfast options that Best Western offers too. It's not just coffee and a pastry. They have lots of good choices. I checked in late at nigh and there was some one at the desk to receive us, that is also great! The location is at walking distance from several restaurants both Mexican and American. Plus, it was only 5 minutes from my workplace in downtown..

The room, and this is true of most hotel rooms, smelled like a hotel room. I'm not sure what it is, I'm going to guess it's the carpet. Maybe some day hotels can figure out how to resolve that little nuance.

It’s was a little bit run down but the bed was super comfortable

I do understand in these days and times it can be difficult to find good employees. My concern was when I talked to the person who greeted me when I walked in and we talked for 5 minutes, then I checked in the room and went to ask her a question she asked if I had a reservation? I have explained who I was again. She said ok?

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was huge for a hotel room. The breakfast was really good and more than just pastries. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

My only issue was with the towels. They were very thin and they didn't put enough in our room either day.

Location was great restaurants and coffee shops walking distance ! Breakfast had a lot of options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nights were really noisy but I think because of the car show happening during our stay. I did have to call front desk at one point because of the noise and it was resolved right away.
