The staff was amazing and always available when you needed them - when we checked in she gave us a great list of everything we should see and eat. Loved the breakfast they deliver to your room each day of fresh fruit, pastries and coffee. The property is extremely well taken care of. You could walk to pretty much everything touristy in Mystic. Our room had a gigantic jacuzzi tub and a patio with chairs and small table outside . They have a great pool and provide soap and shampoo in the showers attached so you don’t have to go back to your room in your suit. Nice gazebo with chairs to sit in the yard and look at the pretty flowers. Loved the little shop across the street with great sandwiches, salads, breakfasts etc.

I would have liked a small fridge to keep drinks cold and be able to bring back leftovers. We could hear the upstairs guests stomping around so maybe a thicker rug up there🤷🏼‍♀️

The staff is extremely friendly (why I stayed again, this was my second time there). They're accommodating and helpful, and they have a way of making you feel welcome. The rooms are cozy and inviting, not overly decorated, and it feels like you're staying in a guest house rather than a chain hotel. They bring the coffee and pastries to the rooms, which is very nice, and I enjoyed mine on my balcony each morning. It's also a very short distance from downtown Mystic, but not in the middle of all of the tourists - a nice quiet place for relaxing. I love this place!

My only suggestion for improvement would be to add some hooks in the bathroom - there was no place to hang anything, not even a towel; but I got by. Maybe also add a small occasional table in the bathroom to provide a little spot to put things if there is space - ladies carry lots of make-up, etc. and need a place to set those things. My bathroom was big enough for something like that. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing about Taber Inn!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean and pleasant room. Able to walk to both the town of mystic and it's waterfront and to the maritime museum.

The lack of access to hot drinks. Although there was a very nice cafe across the road it closed at 5 pm Sundays and 7 pm other days and didn't open until 8 am. As Brits we like our tea and want to be able to make a cuppa every time we return to the room and early in the morning. A kettle in the room would have made a big difference to us.

What a wonderful place this is. Motel style but definitely not motel standards. Everywhere was smart and clean and homely in the best possible way. The room and its furniture and fittings were delightful and we loved the little deck out the back door with a pair of chairs to catch the evening sunshine. The indoor swimming pool was toasty warm and big enough to swim proper lengths. And the in-room breakfast delivery was an unexpected treat. Taber Inn has a real welcoming, personal, family kind of feel, the staff were delightful and gave us great dinner recommendations downtown. Wholeheartedly recommended.

I was really happy with our room. we knew that it only had a continental breakfast, but we could not stay for it due to our travel plans. I wish we could have stayed longer! Location was awesome! The room was really nice. Just a note., When I booked this room, I did not notice this room did not have a refrigerator. We actually had medicine that needed to be refrigerated and ice bags to freeze while on our trip. Our hotel manager was soooo awesome that she brought us a refrigerator so we can use for our medicine. Triple *** for her to help us out.

the fact we could not stay longer.

I always stay at the Taber when I’m visiting Mystic. Great location and friendliest staff, ever! The morning cup of coffee, muffin, and fresh fruit are a great (and healthy!) start to each day. Comfortable rooms that are very clean. If you’re traveling by train, it’s just a 10 minute walk to the Mystic Depot.

The AC from the room above me dripped on to the top of the AC for my room. It splattered on the outside deck and furniture, and which made it difficult to sit outside. I moved the chairs around, but then it felt like I was encroaching on neighboring rooms’ area of the deck and I was invading their privacy. Also, the water build-up from the dripping AC above seemed to cause excessive mildew in my unit that blew a really bad smell into my room. The staff were wonderful in resolving the issue (thank you!). This was the only drawback. This is my fourth time staying at the Taber Inn and the first time with a significant issue. Again, the staff were phenomenal with their response! I will happily stay at the Taber again, but perhaps in a different room! :)

The complimentary breakfast was lovely and a pleasant surprise.

Everything and everyone was more than perfect but if I had to say one thing I would improve, it would be a bar in the shower. There was one outside the shower on the wall but not in the shower. There may have been one in other rooms. My advice would be if you need a bar, ask for a room with one. Other than this small observation, The Taber Inn was the absolute best place I have stayed mostly because of the welcoming staff and sparkling clean room. We will definitely be returning to The Taber Inn in the very near future. So many things to do within a few miles of the inn. You know what they say in real estate…Location,Location,Location!!!

The suite of rooms was perfect for our family. It was great to have a small kitchen to use and it was well appointed. Nice dining area and living room too. The extra half bath on the 1st floor was handy and the two bedrooms upstairs were spacious and had nice size bathrooms, one with a king bed and the other with 2 full size beds

I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth so to speak, but the advertised free pastry wasn't very good. The fruit was nice, some bananas and oranges and juice good for the kids, but the coffee was too strong. Luckily we spotted a coffee pot in the kitchen and it had a pod of Maxwell House coffee near it so we made a good pot.

Beautiful property, very well located for exploring Mystic and Stonnington areas. The room was a very good size and absolutely spotless. Beds very comfortable with all the usual facilities. The owners (Tom & Joy I think) could not have been more helpful and went out of their way to help sort out a couple of issues with our booking. They pointed out points of interest to visit and recommended some good local restaurants and bars which turned out to be excellent.. The indoor swimming pool was a great bonus and a lot bigger than expected. Again, exceptionally clean and pleasant to use. Absolutely brilliant to have a complementary breakfast of tea, coffee, pastries and fresh fruit delivered to our room simply by calling reception. Highly recommended and wish we could have stopped longer.

Absolutely nothing

This place is amazing. The owners and staff are so friendly, full of suggestions on places to visit and dine and they clearly love Mystic and everything it has to offer. Nothing is too much trouble It is a level easy walk into the historic bridge and main shopping/dining area. The rooms are spacious with a small outside sitting area, a small breakfast of fruit, muffin and coffee is included and delivered to your room. There is also a wonderful indoor swimming pool. Across the road is mystic market deli which sells great takeaway food including a big selection of salads and amazing cakes.
