Can’t beat the location!

Showers are too small. Glass doors May help with providing a little more room, as the shower curtain sticks to you because the shower is so tiny. Refrigerator was unplugged, so we lost all our food before realizing it wasn’t working. All rooms should be stocked with three bath towels, if there are two guests. Most women use two (one for hair). The full wooden bed frames were an issue. Both my husband and I kept stubbing our toes on the foot of the bed. To the point we’re I had a black big toe by the end of our stay. I know it sounds silly, but OUCH! Hope our next door neighbors didn’t hear the obscenities every time it happened!

The bed and pillows are amazing and the jacuzzi tub was the cherry on top- Just what I needed to unwind after a particularly challenging couple of months. If you get the opportunity book the Morgan suite, even if you’re a solo traveler, splurge a bit- it’s worth it! ☺️

I honestly can’t think of anything- from location to onsite parking and take out from their fabulous restaurant, Shipwrights Daughter, everything was wonderful-

Let me start by saying I rarely ever do reviews but to that end let me admit, I am a picky prick, my wife is too. We were both blown away by this place. It’s the perfect stay, on the water. Clean rooms and over the top friendly staff!

The ONLY things we would point to was that parking lot is limited. Also the coffee makers in rooms, leave more than one creamer and sugar packet per pack 🤦🏻‍♂️, I warned we were picky but in fairness it seems most hotels are doing that now. 1 sugar and 1 powder creamer pack is never enough, unless you like black coffee lol.

This is an iconic hotel right in the heart of Mystic overlooking the river. Fabulous hotel, clean, stylish, luxurious, large rooms and friendly staff. The location couldn't be any better! We loved our stay here.

There are no elevators so this was a problem for my elderly parents in law but I had emailed in advance and the amazing staff managed to reserve them a room on the ground floor. Some of the shared hallways could do with a bit of an update.

The location was great. We were on the top floor of the main building with a view of the bridge. We had a corner room with a lot of windows. The bed was comfortable and the big bathtub was nice.

I think the price is high for what you get. If you book through Booking.com, they don't give you a food credit like they do if you book directly. However, when I looked at their website, I never saw this mentioned. I think for the price, they should include the food credit for everyone.

We always stay at the Whaler when we visit Mystic ! Clean comfortable rooms and the location is great !

Front desk Staff on duty at our last visit could have been a little more helpful. We asked if our son who was meeting us for dinner could park in The lot for a few hours … off season and the hotel was empty ! We did not receive a very friendly or accommodating answer .😤

My husband called ahead to say that we were celebrating my birthday, and the hotel had a card wishing me a happy birthday, along with a small bottle of prosecco, on our desktop waiting for us in our room, which we were admitted into a little bit earlier than check-in time, with an upgrade. Also, we arrived too early to check in, but enjoyed complimentary coffee and cookies by the fire in the lobby while waiting. We very much enjoyed my our dinner at the hotel's restaurant, and the waiter put a candle in my dessert for my birthday. Also, the location was very convenient for walking.

After booking on your site and being asked if we had any special requests, I tried to type in that we would be celebrating my birthday, but only received info. on joining some kind of hotel club. Also, upon arrival, I mentioned to the receptionist with whom we checked in that it was my birthday. Upon leaving, the same receptionist, after my expressing what a nice birthday I had had there, remonstrated with me that I should have told them ahead of time that it was my birthday (I tried, and my husband did) Neither desk attendant was overly welcoming or friendly.

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and always available. I love the coffee station and the delicious free cookies. The rooms are always in excellent condition with comforting decor and very clean. The hotel restaurant is amazing! Staff was lovely and food was delicious! The location can’t be beat. You are in the heart of downtown Mystic.

The parking can sometimes be a problem. However, the staff is always available to help navigate the issue. The price point is not a value. However, I was pleased to pay the listed price for such a wonderful stay.

Great location

When we asked about the breakfast discount available for “all” hotel guests, We were told “ that is not available because you booked thru Booking.com” So I assume that the amount the inn pays to Booking.com as a “marketing fee” is coming out of the guests pocket. Feels like all quests should be treated the same with the discounts. Left a sour taste!

Number one thing about the property is the location. Excellent spot for this gorgeous town. A very close second is the staff; so friendly and accommodating at any time. I highly recommend staying here for your next trip to Mystic

Next time we will request a room that does not overlook the parking lot, but other than that, it was excellent!
