From the moment we stepped into the beautiful hotel till the last day we were greeted by the kindest people and taken care of. Everything in the hotel is outstanding and so thoughtfully designed. The pool is SO pretty and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The beach chairs were wonderful, every single day we would go out to the beach for the first half of the day and end by the pool. It was great. And the rooms were so sleek and comfortable, we'll definitely be visiting again.

There was only one small hiccup while we stayed around the pool getting some work done -- it was communicated to us the day before it happened which was helpful but a bummer nontheless. When we stayed the hotel had only been open for a few weeks so we understand they're still getting everything ironed out. We shared our feedback with the staff and they went above and beyond to take care of us. While the pool being out of commission for an evening wasn't ideal, the way the team handled it was out of this world and makes me only want to go back to the Shelborne for all my future Miami visits.

Booking.com was doing a deal for the Shelborne and the hotel is comparable to many of the other beachfront south beach-mid beach hotels in the area. I was happy with the decision to stay at the Shelborne. The pool was large and nice. There were many pool chairs. The lobby was clean and David's Cafecito was very convenient. The staff at the beach were very nice and attentive. The reservation includes two beach chairs per day. The beach umbrellas cost 25$ per day and an extra chair is 17$ which was fine. The hotel room had two double beds as advertised. The sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean with good shower. The hotel is walking distance to many nice restaurants and was a perfect location for a girls trip to Miami. The price was better than many hotels in the area.

The carpeting in the room was damp. The hotel did give pairs of slippers, but I would not walk on that floor bare foot. I think they should remove the carpets and place panel flooring. We asked for extra slippers a few times but did not get them. Sometimes the room was not cleaned until after 7PM.

We stayed in 1 of the Townhouses, it was awesome. Granted, don't look out the gliding doors. The building next door is under renovation. So it's not a pretty site. That work looks like it won't be finished for years. I do love the overall look of the hotel though. There is plenty of old world style and charm. Keep in mind the photographs of the rooms online are misleading. The furniture in the rooms looks more basic, but I didn't mind. Everything was clean, my bed was plush and comfortable, that's all I care about. The Good: Thankfully they do have a valet parking for your car, otherwise there would be no place to park. You will pay $50 a day. The service staff and the front desk is excellent, everyone was super sweet and accommodating. The location of the hotel can not be beat. Behind the hotel is the beach. So you have your choice of pool or beach. They have a hot tub as well. There is a outdoor bar and restaurant by the pool. You don't really need to leave the hotel at all. If you do want to get out to eat there are a few restaurants across the street with great food, with outdoor dining. Perfect. We were there for the 2023 New Year Celebration. We went to the buffet for dinner, they did a great job with the food, the seating was nice. We had a great time. The only thing that was missing was the fireworks. The bad: I can't think of anything really. The ugly: My only criticism is that the pool water didn't look as crystal as it should. Maybe because the pool itself is aged now, I'm sure this hotel was the best in the 40's and 50's. They need a better filtration system and more algicide.

I was made to pay extra 300 dollars for some sort insurance incase i damaged something and that it will be paid back onto my card. its been almost a month and I haven't received the money. All efforts to reach hotel proved futile.

Valet & no parking, you have no choice but to do Valet. They said it was $46 & then they charged My card $50.

Loved the location, loved the pool, loved the beach chairs on the beach. We had a spectacular room with a balcony and ocean view which was a nice retreat from the party vibe downstairs, the beds were also very comfortable. Hotel has alot to offer. We enjoyed the flexible check in and check out options too.

The only negative for us was one of the reception staff talking bad about my friend, most likely not realising that we were all together. Found that to be very unprofessional. All other staff were friendly and accommodating.

I LOVED everything! I've always been drawn to mid-beach, and the hotel was absolutely perfect - cozy and scenic room, tasty and healthy food, chill bar and pool vibes, and the staff was absolutely LOVELY.

There were some minor issues with one of the elevators not working, but it didn't ruin my overall experience.

The inside was beautiful. Like really beautiful, I was amazed. The location was great. It was quiet. The staff was nice and helpful. More of a family hotel. Close to the beach. Beach chairs come with resort. Bed was comfortable. AC works wonders. The key cards always worked! They have a cafe and a restaurant. Also a spa, but I didn’t get to use it . The gym was also opened 24 hours.

Everything closed early. Wish it was said that it was more “family” oriented. Everything was pricey. No entertainment. No ppl really. I guess I’m use to lots of engagement and music. It was kind of a “dead” environment. We literally had to go outside to have fun. However beach chairs come with resort but you have to pay 25 dollars for the umbrella 😩. The shower kept overflowing, like the water was very slow to go down the drain. The bars open late, and the drinks suck. They try to overprice me on a drink but the manager who was great was able to fix it. The pool closed at 7 😩.

The balcony rooms are beautiful but unfortunately so close to the balcony from other guests. Our neighbors smoked and then we had a terrible weed smell every morning. Towels are free for the swimming pool and the beach, but on the beach, you must pay 20 dollars each to get an umbrella.
