The view, the hot tub, the scenery, it was gorgeous and relaxing.

I didn’t like the night bartender/bully. She’s a very large Caucasian woman with a short hair style and watch out because she’s mean to EVERYBODY! She cursed out kids who didn’t have their parents with them, she talked to ALL the guests with no mannerisms or respect. Every night in the hot tub, I would meet different guests and all any of them could talk about is the negative encounter with this woman. She’s a real troll and hates everyone. I also observed these same behavior from her on my last stay in 2022. She’s sure to try and ruin your vacation so you probably wanna stay away from this hotel until she’s replaced because she’s their to make sure you don’t enjoy yourself, even though no one has broken the rules. Here colleagues even had negative things to say.

After carefully reading the reviews and having the best price for everything I wanted, I booked for a mid week 2 day mini vacation with my wife. And after the fact, I was not dissapointed at all. The location was perfect. All rooms have a beach view. We got one of the renovated rooms at the top floor which was very nice. The beds are very comfortable. Our room was upgraded with electric and usb outlets next to the bed and under the TV. This was an awesome upgrade. And the FREE PARKING was a definate plus. The internet speed was better than most hotels which was another big plus for me. They also had water, coffee, and lemonade 24/7 which was also a very nice for all the guests. I also liked the fact that despite the hotel being very old, it is well maintained and very clean. I saw maintenance crews work around the clock making sure the fascilities are clean and well maintained. I also saw that renovations are ongoing. Another highlight of the short trip was ARCELIA, one of the staff members that was extremely kind and helpfull in the breakfast area. I think the credit gooes to the fact that this hotel has a private ownership which helps the fascility remain in good shape.

One big minus was the breakfast. It is very limited and very repetitive. They can improve the quality of the food as well as the selections. Regular plain o'l grits would have been better than the cheese mix they had. There was no toast or any kind of bread, cereal, or fruits. All I saw was sliced oranges, which were actually very good. Would have liked better coffee in the rooms and at breakfast.

Loved that the hotel was on the beach and we were on the ground floor and all their rooms face the ocean

The breakfast was awful Could never find parking by the hotel and I have a disability and had to park away from hotel and walk. Being elderly this was extremely painful Bar staff at poolside could learn to be a little more polite to the customers . Multiple people I met at this hotel said the same thing

Breakfast!! No sausage, bacon, traditional style breakfast!! Salsa everyday isn’t something in all parts of the country or the link sausage or whatever it’s called not even traditional link pork sausage. 🥺. Every breakfast we had centered around it. May look for a comparable stay with a better breakfast. We like to stay on site for the most part.

Perfect view of the ocean from our room. Little old but was clean, no bugs. Amanda at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Also the security staff was nice. We will be back😊❤️ All of the staff were really nice.

Family oriented; your kids will love the Mermaids and Pirates! Every room has ocean view and a balcony. Full size fridge and dining table. Quiet, good A/C, comfortable beds. Happy to get the new hot breakfast that included sausage, eggs, etc. as I had read reviews from earlier this year saying the breakfast did not include meats. Love the pool with waterfall and shaded area for when the temps soar. Convenient parking. Really like this location; convenient to popular eateries but out of the major congestion.

Our stay could probably not have been better. ALL the staff were upbeat, friendly and helpful. When we checked out on the weekend, I think the hotel was fully booked. Line for breakfast was long and an elevator was out-of-service but I understand such things happen.

I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families with young kids! From check-in to housekeeping, every staff member was incredibly nice and friendly—we were always greeted with a smile and warm demeanor, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The Pirates and Mermaids, in particular, went above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience for our son. Before our trip, I made a special request online, asking if a pirate could give my son a treasure map because we planned to secretly bury a treasure box for him to find. The pirates took our idea to the next level—they not only buried the treasure for us but also created a custom map and planned an entire treasure hunt. It exceeded our expectations in every way. On the day of the treasure hunt, we received a call from the front desk letting us know that a pirate was waiting in the lobby for my son. When we arrived, he gave my son a pirate hat which he let him keep and led us to the beach, where six other pirates and a mermaid were waiting. They handed my son the treasure map and followed him as he searched for each marked “X.” To claim the treasure, he even had to defeat the Pirate Captain in a sword fight before digging up his prize. The entire experience was magical and created core memories my son will never forget from his first trip to the beach. As a final surprise, when we checked out, Shelby at the front desk gifted us a flash drive filled with photos and videos captured by a photographer/videographer during the treasure hunt. We couldn’t be more grateful to the pirates, mermaids, and the entire hotel staff for making this the most unforgettable trip. Beyond the incredible treasure hunt, the hotel offers even more fun for families. The Pirates and Mermaids make appearances in the morning and afternoon, adding to the excitement throughout the day. In the evenings, guests can enjoy a movie at 8 PM by the heated pool and bar, making for the perfect way to wind down after an adventure-filled day.

The breakfast was ok but it' was better years ago.when there were Jimmy Dean biscuits and muffins Etc.

The staff!! Especially the pirates and mermaids!! Hector and the whole crew were absolutely amazing!! My granddaughter picked this hotel from looking at the website from the middle of Nebraska solely because of the pirates and mermaids. She wanted to go for her 9th birthday, we had our reservations because of never having been to Panama City before but it was wonderful!! They went the extra mile to make her birthday special!! She will remember it for the rest of her life! They took pictures and played in the pool and made trips to the beach to entertain everyone on the beach. I have stayed in much more expensive places that didn’t put half the effort this staff did to make sure the stay was enjoyable!! Breakfast was excellent also!! Biscuits and gravy! Fantastic!! Would definitely stay again!!

Vending machines didn’t work great, but a nice little store was right across the street that had excellent ice cream!! Plus an assortment of other snacks!

Location!!! Breathtaking views!! Laid back atmosphere, and checked all my boxes for a spectacular vacation! Hotel was comfortable, the pool was refreshing and super cool! Had full size fridge, balcony, and decent sized room. Little convenience store with ice cream and pizza, across the street, with very friendly staff there! Our AC was crispy cold, and our entire floor was kept immaculately clean (I think Luz was the main housekeeper on our 5th floor) William was a maintenance guy there-very friendly and kind! The elevator was always working!

Couple staff members were not very friendly or helpful (but most, were). Some repairs and updates are needed to rooms and elevators. (Doors close very hard, balcony railing, mattresses were very hard, pillows were lumpy, outdated decor, toilet needs some attention, sink drain was smelly)
